Ross and Glenn in service dept are awesome . Since the Covid slowed my driving down my service was not getting done on schedule. They immediately saw what I needed to get back to the service of my Rogue on schedule, making everything easy, clearly informed, and yes completed timely. I loved the new building and I also appreciate their response to all my questions and making sure I used All my coupons available. They are a credit to all of Nissan !

I recently got my ‘22 Nissan Frontier from Sumter Nissan. Classic story of walk in for an oil change walk out with something new. Larry and Terry (try not to laugh) did a fantastic job with my deal. As I used to sell cars I’m aware of the process and I’m aware when I’m working with quality people. They were simply that, quality people. I dealt with every part of that dealership and it was my first time in there, service, sales, management and finally finance. All were wonderful people to work with. We’re in a peculiar time in the market and I was given a wonderful deal reflecting that fact. Thank you again for the wonderful service I received. Would recommend this dealership.

We had an issue with our trade in coming off lease but the finance team went above and beyond to get us in our new vehicle. Update: Great news. The were able to get the problem fixed. I admit I was really aggravated about it, but in the end they owned up and made it right at no extra charge. 👍I am leaving it at one star for now. I took my truck in for regular fule system service. When I went to leave it would not accelerate. It has been at the dealership since Monday and they cant figure out what is wrong. It was fine when it went in. I am waiting to see what they say. I will be extremely angry if they try to charge me for something when it is obviously something they did. We will see.

WE went in to get our 2017 Armada service and decided to look at vehicles while we waitThats when the wheeling and dealing startedThey asked about the 2017 and told them that we likes our SUV. But he (Mr Larry) said what if I could get you in a newer vehicle and keep payments around the same. Well we left out with a new 2021 Armada that had even been programmed into their shop yet. And we had a better deal than the first Armada. Mr Larry was very nice.

$136 for an oil change? After leaving, I was then called multiple times until I answered and then pestered to come back just so they could bribe me to buy my car. After saying saying no several times, they finally got the hint. However, I now receive texts to fill out surveys about my experience and have been called more times today. When I said terrible, the lady said ‘sorry to hear that’ and hung up My oil change appointment was only 18 hours ago and I’m being harassed with the amount of calls I receive. STRAIGHT TRASH - wish I could rate them lower for being annoying.

Summary: Truck was overpriced, had several critical issues, and the salesman was rude and condescending. Manager however was professional and had good customer service.Came in to buy the 2006 Ford Ranger they have listed for $5,500 with 198k miles. While I thought it was probably a little overpriced, I was hopeful that at such a cost it would be a great running vehicle to suit my growing family’s needs.The salesman, Larry Summers, came out very friendly and all smiles when I went to take the car down the street to my mechanic for a pre-buy inspection. When I returned a couple hours later however, he was extremely rude to me. As soon as I got out of the truck, he came outside and asked me if I had only gotten the truck because I needed to get something moved. He called my wife my girlfriend even after I corrected him. And finally, when I showed him the notes from my mechanic, he said “You had to pay for all that? Wow.” in a condescending tone, as if he was not just trying to sell me a vehicle with these egregious issues.Attached is a picture of my mechanics notes and proof I checked out the vehicle listed on their website. If the pictures will not load for you, the critical issues are as follows: “passenger side lower ball joint boot is busted, sway bar end link rubber is missing, and vehicle has significant coolant leak which covers the oil and trans pan.”All in all I would not recommend buying a used car here, though I can’t speak to the quality of their new vehicles and to the professionalism and customer service of their other salesmen.(Edited to note: Manager made a point to call and apologize on behalf of his employee, as well as attempted to reconcile the price/defects. The effort was appreciated and I have added a star, not that my little google review means much haha.)

I am 53 years old and just purchased my fourth Nissan. (Nov) In all my dealings with Nissan dealers I have never had a more pleasurable experience than I did with Nissan of Sumter, and I have had A LOT of dealings with Nissan dealerships (lol, Im pretty finicky).In searching for my current car, a 2020 Rogue SL, I had interactions with no less than four dealerships, and I drove over two hours from my home to purchase mine from Sumter . . .thats how great they are!Whether communicating by phone call, text, or email, all of my questions were answered honestly, directly, and promptly by both Chris and Stephen. (Have I mentioned how finicky I am?)I was given a fair price for my trade-in and given a more-than-fair sale price on my new car with the dealer cash back incentives offered.When I arrived in person, both Chris and Stephen greeted me and took care to review sales (Stephen) and the vehicle (Chris) thoroughly. The showroom is spectacular!While I was there I heard a couple of anecdotal stories of customers who had traveled by plane and train from other states (one from Florida!) to buy from Nissan of Sumter ...why?... because Nissan of Sumter carries the inventory! The technician that change my oil broke the oil cap so I had a four and a half hour delay it kept me from doing all the things I wanted to do in Sumter seeking how I came from Florence .For the inconvenience I think my oil change should have been free and thats why they didnt get five stars

Jeremy was great as a salesperson, but Terry Bass is a scammer. Traded my truck in for a jeep and made it clear I knew what the truck was worth and knew what they would probably sell it for. Terry comes back and shows a carfax showing truck was wrecked that we were not aware of when when we purchased it and he said that brought the value of the trade down. Here we are 4 days later and the truck is listed at $9K more than they paid for trade. Be careful when dealing with them.

I took my Nissan to the service department to have it detailed and after 2 days I got it back with very little detailing done. They didn’t “charge” me because it didn’t “turn out” like they hoped. They didn’t charge me because they didn’t detail my car because they were too busy detailing cars for new owners. To heck with loyal owners. Granted, they didn’t waste my money but they sure wasted my time and now I have to schedule my detailing with another company. I have never had this issue with this dealership in the past but I definitely won’t take my car to the service department again

The car buying experience was nice at first. My salesman was super nice . He brought different vehicles up and we test drove but the ending part ruined the sale. I finished my deal after the dealership closed. As the salesman was helping me transfer my things from my previous vehicle, the manager asked the salesman if he had his stuff because they were locking up. They rushed me with transferring things from my vehicle to the point where I forgot my birth certificate. They unlocked the gate and I got it. They then left me at the dealership. Didn’t make sure I had left and on top of that the car was empty and I had put all my money down and didn’t have money for gas to get back home and I live in Florence. Had to have someone send me money to put gas in my new car. The car wasn’t detailed and I wasn’t shown any of the features I have or how to cut them on. I felt as if once the sale cleared I didn’t matter. I called the salesman the day after because the remote started wasn’t working and he said he’d call me back and never did but before the sale he called me daily. Now the sales complete I guess I’m of no more use.

Got my transmission done. I was happy with the overall speed of the work. But my alignment was perfect before they fixed my transmission. I paid 3621 for my transmission. I don’t have the money to fix my alignment after paying that much money. So I called them and explained the situation and they immediately rectify the situation and fixed my alignment for free ! Extremely happy with the professionalism and overall great experience and nice and friendly staff.

I just wanted to take a second and go out of my way to praise Nissan of Sumter service department team. While everyone I spoke to there was pleasant, Mr. Colton & Mr. Mark where the specific men to handle my issues. Mr. Colton got me squared away, mechanically. Had the car in the shop and diagnosed in 4 hours, and a plan lined out to fix what was damaged. Had the part in the following 2 days, and car fixed by lunch the 3rd day after dropping it off again @ 8am. Mr. Mark made sure I was able to get to and from the establishment to drop off the vehicle. He is full of good conversation and wisdom. Both of these men were everything youd hope a representative employee would be, professional, prompt, friendly, and pleasant.As a man who used to work for Toyota, I know how important a service team is to a car dealership. These guys you have are a REAL GEM Nissan of Sumter. Truly hope these gentlemens much & well deserved salaries match their effort. The salesman was new. the manager Steven Giddings and Terry were awful. The dealership used deceptive practices. So, they advertised a sale price of $34k on a vehicle. I went in and made a fair starting offer then one of the many mangers stated the car was for sale for $40k. Bait and switch. I also noticed a ticking noise on the vehicle and asked about the history by the vehicle was being sold new and it had 1.2k miles on it. I was told by one manager that it was a demo and then another manger confir.ed it was previously purchased then returned (this was stated only after I had made an offer). Sketchy.
