I had a great experience with Matthew Ward Landscapes. I could never have imagined how beautiful the project would end up and how much they put in to make everything perfect. The project was professionally managed, the team was courteous, hard working, and paid attention to so many details I would have never thought of. This project involved adding several patios and walkways, moving sprinklers, moving landscape lighting, adding sod, french drains, and adding rock fill. All turned out amazing.

We recently purchased a beautiful palm tree from them and couldnt be happier with our decision. The process for us was fun and exciting as we have always wanted one. Once there we had a great educational conversation with a younger man who has been there since high school and was wonderful. We had many questions about the tree and he was very knowledgeable and made our choice easier after speaking with him.

I can’t recommend this place enough!! I am no avid gardener (I actually stink at it) nor do I have a green thumb, but I walked in and told Daniel what I wanted as far as sun or shade, water requirements, and that I wanted them to come back each year. He walked me around the nursery for about 45 minutes and explained all of my options and even told me that if I had any issues with the plants looking sick to call him back and he’d help me save them. I will be buying all of my future plants from here for sure!

I would highly recommend working with Matthew. He took his time helping us design patio and walkway layouts in our yard that were exactly what we were looking for. Doug and his crew worked very hard to make sure everything was perfect. Everyday they made sure to clean up behind themselves and made sure that everything was being done in a way to last forever. You just cant beat this type of quality service.

Came with my new Palm Trees, trees were better than expected. I love them! Very pleasant, did a great job putting them in and cleaned up the area very nicely. As others mentioned, never answers the phone, late to give an estimate and literally never sent an estimate after come to look at the project. This company is a joke and would be easy to take business from. Don’t do business with a company that doesn’t return calls promptly, doesn’t follow through. Buyer be warned.

First of all, the look of this place is beautiful! I brought my 87 year old mother to find some rocks for her garden. Chris was WONDERFUL! She was pleasant and very helpful. Will definitely come here again.

My mother passed in December and she wanted to be planted as a tree. We went there and Christi was fantastic. She answered all of our questions, helped us pick out the one we wanted and even tagged the tree with my mothers name. She went above and beyond to help us make this a special day. I highly recommend this nursery.

They are a wonderful business. After reading other reviews, I must say...We all get busy from time to time and miss or have to reschedule appointments. I work in a dentist office. People constantly no show, change or reschedule their appointments. So people should try to be more understanding. The plants at their nursery are beautiful. As for their landscape installation, he is one of the best in Summerville and Charleston.

Matthew and his team did an amazing job doing a front yard make over at our home. He corrected the grade, widened the driveway, installed irrigation, landscape lighting, sod, trees and bushes. They got the whole thing completed in 4 days and it looks awesome!!

I needed dirt/compost for my raised bed gardens. I called them to see how much it would cost. They bent over backwards to make sure I got what I wanted and went out of their way to deliver it to me that day. Thanks again. All the vegetables are in and it look great!

Came out over a week ago. Was suppose to get back with us following week with estimate. My husband called and left. No response to my husbands message. Its a shame I love the nursery. But, cannot due business with a company that cant even return a phone call. I dont think they are too busy to return a phone call.

Professional, very nice guys, I just bought bulk stone and was pleased with the quality of stone, cost, and the friendly fellows selling it. Buy local whenever I can and didnt realize these guys were here.

They did a good job installing a tree for me once. Now you cant get a response from them unless you go there. Never answers phones or respond to website requests.

Polite and friendly. Although... I did find it odd they dressed in ninja costumes. One guy even cut patches of grass with something that resembled a ninja star.

Wards does a great job! The have a fantastic seasonal and evergreen selection. Very Knowledgeable staff. The plants that I have bought from Wards has always exceded those of larger chain stores. Keep up the quality work and thanks for serving Summerville.

Cool place, the guy and the girl working the front were super nice and went way beyond what I expected. They took the time to take my kids to see some chickens they had in the back and loaded up some sod I purchased. The sod: centipede, just like I got from lowes for a little less, but unlike the lowes sod this was out in the sun and vibrant green. Lowes stuff died soon after even with water, matts stuff survived!
