One of the best places to go for everything comic! Visited today from out of town and Greg was such a great help and very knowledgeable... we found so many unique Funkos and lots of great comic finds! Most definitely a place to check out, you wont be disappointed! Thank you for everything Greg!

Stopped in for New Comic Book Day today while Im out of town. The store was a little tight, but I did hear the salesman saying that he is still unpacking . I missed out on one title that released today, but was able to find it at another shop, but this one was closer to my hotel. If Im in the area again I would check them out again.

The best comic shop in the low country. Greg is very friendly and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and to help you find what you need. I live in the upstate and always make it a point to stop in when Im in the area and visit Greg and his staff and to pick up something I need.

My husband and I always tried getting into comic books together, but since I didnt know much it was hard at first. Greg and his crew are amazing at helping you find what interests you and even have suggested so many that I never would have tried, but I loved!

Cute little comic book store. Not a ton for vintage comics, but modern back issues they have plenty. Very nice store, huge selection of trades.

Very nice people work here but the game I purchased was in bad shape. I had to come back 3 times they refurbished the game and couldnt get it fixed. So I got a shirt to replace the game. My son wasnt very happy. But they recommend a place in summerville that had the game and it works fine. Thank you

Took my 7 year old here for his first comic store experience. Staff was super helpful, pointed out the area for young audiences, and my son picked out his first comic. He had a blast!The store was actually bigger than I expected. I didnt have much of a chance to dive in deep on what they carried, but it appeared they had a good selection from what I could tell. Ill definitely be back to take a better gander.

This place is awesome. Weather youre just getting back into comics or an avid reader, they take the time to make sure you find what youre looking for and also recommend some new titles you may not have known about. Everyone who works there genuinely friendly and you can tell they all love what they do. They also do a fantastic job with their social media outlets keeping them up to date with all the goings on at the shop. Ive found my comic shop home in Charleston.

Great local comic shop. Owners are extremely friendly and helped us around the shop, giving us sort of a “first time” tour. Their selection of comics is pretty extensive for the smaller space they have. Plenty of TPBs, back issues, and new comics. Smaller selection of games, figures, and other novelty items. Definitely will be my go to when I’m in the area.

So even though this store is not huge, its also not small. It has a good flow as well, especially for a day like free comic book day. The sales are great and they make sure to keep people feeling welcomed. The selection is great and they are pleasant to shop.

Its your typical Comics shop. We like it because we like to support local shops, but everything is a little over priced, especially if you are a collector. They do have a lot of comics to choose from and some pretty cool collectibles as well. If you are a comics fan or collector, I definitely recommend you check them out.

This is the best comic shop in the area, bar none. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always quick to answer any questions, and they have great recommendations. Soundwave also has great deals going on all of the time, so you know it wont be long before you amass a giant collection. Theyre also located right next to a Little Caesars, which is convenient for me. Sometimes I challenge myself to eat an entire large pizza in one sitting. I always make sure to do this after I look at comics though, as it leaves me quite lethargic. Anyways, whether youre a veteran comic book collector or just getting into it, youll definitely enjoy this shop.

Excellent selection of new comics and collectibles plus a very wide selection of back issues. Greg and staff are warm and friendly. They provide discounts for regular customers that purchase a certain amount of titles per month. Highly recommended!

Soundwave Comics is the best comic shop in the area. They are always friendly and willing to help people out to get what they desire. You feel like family while your shopping, no doubt about it!

Just a really cool place. I stopped in with my 4 year old who is learning to read. The staff were friendly and helpful. Being there literally makes you want to read a thousand comic books.

Its hard to find quality comic books stores around here. Soundwave comics on the other hand is probably one of the best comic book stores I have been to! Very friendly customer service and a wide variety of comics, action figures, pops, and a bunch of other nerdy stuff! Awesome place for fans!

This shop is just so awesome!!! I went in the other day to pick up my boyfriends subscription of comics, which by being a member he gets 10% off, and the dude that runs the shop opened me up to graphic novels! There is more than just superhero stuff and I found myself obsessed with a new line out called Beauty. Its is sick amazing! Love this shop!

Greg is a great guy and has specials every so often, hes helped me find some comics for my nephew and myself. The selection of pops and figures is good too. Great place friendly atmosphere.

Greg and the Staff are super helpful and will fill you in on new titles coming out and current series that you can jump into. They will also answer any questions about back issues that you have and if they dont have it and can get it they can order it for you! They also come with tons of personal suggestions on what they are reading and they all have different tastes so if you are looking for someone with similar reading or something new they have you covered.

Huge selection of comics! Has all the new releases and tons of back issues. Also a very large selection of TPBs and figures. Very friendly staff and well organized. Was hard to find the first time I went as they have no sign above there entrance.

Great customer service, fun events, specials and giveaways. The owner and his staff are very knowledgable about their product and go out of their way to help you find what you need. Theyll special order things for you, will try to get any available back issues you need, too! I really like this place, just be aware it can get crowded on new comic days and weekends, so if crowds bother you, just come during the week, set up a pull list or learn to love rubbing elbows with your fellow geeks, nerdlingers and the odd freak or two. Always something or someone new to meet, so come on down!

Used to enjoy going there to pick up my monthly comics even though the owners are kind of full of themselves, self-important, the look how cool we are even though were nerds because we own a comic shop and thats cool now because of all the comic book movies and stuff makes nerds cool now. The owner also fancies himself a character if you know what I mean. However thats the Comics World and part of the experience. (think the comic book guy on The Simpsons, that stereotype exists for a reason, its because its true 😆) But overall its not a bad thing, even though it kind of sounds like it is.As a comic book artist and an sci-fi fantasy illustrator (I never told them, I feared I would be treated differently.) Ive been around those types for 25 years and it always makes me smile to know that some things will never change. And I hope they never do!Also...kind of a bad location hard to get in and out of the store parking lot, but thats not a big deal, and they do have a lot of stock and a lot of great stuff, but very messy and disorganized stuff piled on top of stuff and cramped hard to walk around. Also when I went and picked up my comics one month, the next month they were in a completely different place, week after that they have been moved again. took me forever to find them, and I would call ahead or heavily monitor their Facebook page if I were going to go back...Lately every time Ive taken the trip down there they have been closed and locked up even though their hours online and on the door say that they should be open. Theres even been employees inside with the lights on. So check Facebook theres often some sort of reason or excuse as to why theyre closed.)

I dont know whats wrong with the one user who gave Soundwave a bad review. Sounds more personal than anything else. I stopped by Soundwave on a whim and now I am a regular every week. I was met with some of the best customer service I have ever received, and thats something that is of great value to me since I am in the customer service industry myself. Start dropping by Soundwave and Greg and Holly will make it a point to start getting to know you by name and provide you a quality experience. They are always hosting events, auctions, deals, and giveaways. They also have a drawing club and book club. Soundwave represents to me everything a local business should be: in sync with and utterly passionate about the community. If youre into comics, or movies, or games, or whatever, take a trip over to Soundwave and youll be glad you did.
