Found every thing i need love the people in sulphur. But the stines store in iowa sucks because the older lady at check out is rude and snobby . never shop there again . i been there 2 times and it was the same...

My husband did curbside for 32 pieces of 1”x 4” boards. 20 of one length, 12 of a different length. Easy drive in. Waited on him right away, but, after unloading lumber at our house in Moss Bluff, we were 7 short. Not 1 or 2, but 7. He is going back to, hopefully, get the rest. The numbers on the receipt are very clear. Is there a problem with counting?!?!?!

The employees were helpful the store was well stocked. I had a entertaining exchange with the cashier. Overall good experience.

Had to sit and wait because they are short handed. Another problem is they sit on there rear end. I finely left without the 4x4 I went for.I guess I’ll go to store in lake Charles.

Stines has the largest selection of spray paints.I can always find unique items for the home rather its a cleaning device or other products to complete a project.

VERY DISSATISFIED!!! Most stores own up to their mistakes, but not this one. I called sulphur store before going and was told they would price match sheetrock from lowes, once I got to the store it was another story. Was told they didnt price match sheetrock. Showed salesman number I called, which she stated wasnt there store. So I politely called the number in front of her and someone picked up at SULPHUR STINES! With everyone still fighting from Laura and Delta, youd think theyd be more about locals.

When comparing prices, selection, store locations, and contractor services, Stine Lumber is about on par with Lowes and Home Depot. Its essentially a Big-Box hardware store by all measures EXCEPT for customer service. Stine checks all the boxes of a Superstore but they also bring a local business vibe with a knowledgeable staff thats always eager to help.

In and out fast. Got exactly what I wanted.

It would be nice if employees could look up prices & item numbers in the computer when its not on the item or the shelf. I promise youd have more sales.

Went to Lafayette location to purchase some screen. Per the Stines website, the 3ftx100ft screen was .89 per roll. Was told that they was out of stock, but the Jennings location had some. I ordered 15 rolls for pickup in Jennings.I was told by Danny that Corporate said not to honor the pricing and not to honor their price match policy, after I drove an hour and a half to get there. I was then told Johnny at the corporate office cancelled my order and I should have read my email...I was driving to the location. They should have called or honored the price, even on one roll. Stines will not honor their own price match policy. Danny said they didnt have to honor the pricing if they made a mistake on their website. Liars!! Ill NEVER shop here again, and will make sure family, friends, dont shop there, either. Discriminate on who you chose to honor your prices for. Youll never get my business again!**I was dismissed like a nobody after being told what I was told by danny. I reached out to corporate to see if they would even make 1 item right. No response, no call back.

Stines employees were all courteous and prompt.

Even though Stine is a large store, the people working there treat you like its a small Mom and Pop hardware store! They can tell you right down to the aisle and shelf where to find a specialty light bulb and the prices are very competitive. I have also used their Chainsaw repair service and their personnel do a great job at a good price.

Seems like most of the people that work there are rude and dont care to help you find anything. When shopping for random things, we found some of the items had no price tag anywhere to be found so it makes decision making difficult. Id rather go to Lake Charles Stines where they are eager to help.

DO NOT go through the drive through lumber yard. The employees stand there and have 20 minute conversations with each other while theres a line of people waiting.

Was hoping for a better experience than Ive had at Lowes but Ive been sadly disappointed. Drive thru lumber yard is nothing but a traffic jamb. Employees would rather talk to each other than help you. They are usually competitive price wise but service is lousy. Two stars is being generous.

Even with the high demand for lumber and materials they get you in and out with out a long wait. The most organized lumber yard Ive been to yet.

Rude staff had 4 employees walk by me and not ask if I needed help and acted like they couldnt hear me ask for help. Couldnt get help with interior doors at all.

Husband called ahead to make sure they had what we needed because we live in Texas, very friendly phone conversation. We show up and cashier is very rude and acts like she has no idea what he’s asking for. Tells him to go to lumber and after waiting 20 minutes they only have 6 of what we needed and only about 3 are good enough.. although they say there’s 95 in stock and they simply don’t feel like finding it..

I bought some plywood and 2×4s to build a chicken coop . After cutting one of the sheets of plywood it began to separate in several areas. All the other sheets were good. I brought it back to exchange it. They refused to do so because I had cut it. It looked fine before I cut it. I had no idea that the inner portion of the sheet apparently was not glued. I wont be going back. I try to do business with locally owned companys. Guess I will be going to Lowes for now on

Ive been into this store 3 times bc its close to me. All 3 times Ive had no help from employees. Just walk right past them while trying to find what I needed. Never go there again. Not my job the ask for help. Should be offered.

Stines is the best of the big home improvement centers. Large selection and super friendly staff. Drive thru pick up is great also. What makes Stines so different is their actual inventory. Stines actually seems to know your taste. The stock is always of things we like and need. Price will keep you coming back. Always check here first.

Recently visited Stines Lumber Store. The customer service worker in the lumber dept drive thru was very rude he took my loading ticket without any greeting or acknowledgement to me the customer. Once I was instructed by another Stines employee to follow the customer service worker into the area for loading purchased items into my vehicle. Stines customer service employee without any warning I noticed a 2 by 4 board (piece of lumber) roughly slid rubbing beside my left leg. Hopefully any future customers wont experience that type of attitude and rude treatment that I experienced recently while visiting Stines Lumber Store.

Fabulous place for all your garden, yard, building needs! Owned and operated by a local family. They support organizations and individuals in the community. The hire disabled young people. Their prices are competitive with the big box stores.

Very slow checkout. Must have been shift change. Get to check out. Person at register act like you were not there. Seams like they were training a new person who was trying her best.

I only gave them 3 stars because when we went to check out. 3 people were just standing there talking and not doing there job. It took them like 45 minutes to check our load and let us go

This is a great hardware store. They have everything I need and they are not only nearby they are from here, too, so they know a little more about what people here need and want. The only drawback are the short winter hours they keep. They close earlier in the evening.

Employee helped me find what I needed. He was very friendly. The cashier was very sweet and helpful. She asked did I get everything I needed. The store was imaculate.very easy to find what I was looking for. The aisles are marked with signs. Stines is easy to find directions are easy to follow and prices are reasonable. I went in the store on 3/1/18 made a order to be paid for and picked up on 3/2/18 and was told I could pay for it over the phone. Only to find out when I called to pay over the phone that they dont take payments over the phone. I think they need to tell their employees all the rules and and regulations when they are hired. The bad part is I have a order number and they was able to look it up thats crazy AND unprofessional

Dont purchase items in the lumber area until the items are proven to be in stock. I was told by 2 employees that my item was in stock. I payed with my credit card and learned at the time of pickup that the item was out of stock. Now I have to wait for $70 to be refunded to my credit card within 3 to 5 business days.
