Food is by no means the highest quality, but for the price is a great value. Wait staff is one of the nicest in town. A place many locals frequent for a reason. One of the best places in town for a quick and filling breakfast.

I’ve only been in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin for 7 days and this by far is the best place to eat for both breakfast and lunch. The staff is welcoming and friendly and so is the atmosphere! The service is fast and the food is great and filling! I highly recommend stopping by for either breakfast or lunch. 2 major keys to remember are that one, they’re only open till 2pm and they only accept cash!! No credit cards!

Enjoyed breakfast with family. Quick service, great breakfast (although I did have a burger because I had a craving...). Asked for coffee, our server Andrea brought a pot to the table (Thanks! I needed that). Small town friendly, cozy and reasonably priced.

Food was good! I did a build your own melt and it was great. We also highly recommend the pancakes. Everything our table ordered was delicious. Service was good but very understaffed for the festival weekend. Could have used another hand. Place is cash or check only. Prices were very cheap!

We miss The Pudgy Seagull. We have been coming to Door County for over 20 years. We walked in today, & for the first time EVER, felt totally unwelcome in a business here. Regardless of the fact that I have no problem with seat yourself signage, we were not even acknowledged or greeted, we were actually ignored. Decided to look around for seating, and chose a nice table in the window until we saw a sign on it saying no kids allowed to sit at that table. We had older kids with us, and it would’ve been nice to enjoy that space for our numbers rather than cramming into a booth, or taking up a bunch of tables. Saw a family of four with two young children squeezed into a small booth that didn’t look comfortable at all. Decided to look around and choose another seat, then spotted more signage at that table saying only checks or cash allowed, which in our opinion, should’ve been on the door. We left. Will never return.

Eh. The people were nice. It took awhile to get coffee and have someone take our order and it wasnt busy. The food was so, so. My French toast tasted like my husbands kielbasa. Cash only, so we had to walk a couple blocks to find an ATM. They forgot my order of sausage. My husband ordered an over hard egg and got over easy. Probably will not go back.

Simple, unpretentious cafe food served by a great staff. Weve been there twice on our way to northern Door county and havent been disappointed. Not much of the usual expensive upscale tourist atmosphere common to the area and thats a good thing.

Great small town restaurant. Very laid back place, nice friendly people. Very good service. Took no less than 5 minutes to get our food and everything was done perfectly. My hat off to the chef. Overall great meal. 5 Stars!!!

No frills, excellent food. This is where the locals come for a reason! Its our first time here after numerous trips to the Door, and Im glad we found it because well be back.

We walked out of another restaurant due to horrible service and walked in here to try it. The service was absolutely wonderful!! We were immediately greeted and served our drinks. Once we ordered our food it came very quickly and it was delicious!! We will definitely be coming back here!

The corner cafe was great! We were in sturgeon for 5 days and we came for breakfast 2 times. The food was absolutely delicious,and service was great! I really recommend this place. :D

Very friendly dinner. The food didnt take too long to make and it tasted good. Although the atmosphere was quiet and small town cafe like it was open and homely. The food was average size in terms of serving size. The french toast was super good! One thing I liked is that they served the maple syrup warm. Dont really know what to say about cleanliness though. But overall it was a good place to stop and eat

Good simple home style food. Super small town diner feel and totally loved it! It had super cute old school kitchen tools and stoves as decore. Highly recommend.

I came in for brunch and got the breakfast combo plate that was on special, it was a great price and with a bottomless cup of coffee, how could you go wrong? I must stop 4 brunch here more often.! Wasnt too busy around the brunch time and seating came with plenty of newspaper to keep me entertained.

Absolute favorite place In the world for breakfast. Its not gourmet, Its just good. I dont give high reviews of a restaurant often. Its as good as home and worth the prices which are very reasonable.I dont know what may of happen to the others but Im from out of town and bring my children there whenever they are with me. They always request to go. They love the chocolate chip pancakes.

Supposedly a local favorite, but I cannot imagine eating here twice. The cook serves up food with her bare hands, everything from fried eggs, to hash browns, bacon and toast, wiping her hands on her pants from time to time, going from fridge to pantry to plate. Servers reach in through the window to plate items with bare hands after handling cash. Its basic cafe food, nothing fancy, but I expected better food handling practices.

A trip to Sturgeon Bay almost always includes a stop at The Corner Cafe. My latest favorite is Sallys Special, but there are to many diner favorites in the menu its always tough to choose. Amber is a great waitress and takes perfect care of us every time we visit.

Food is awful, breakfast hash browns fried in OLD grease. Had a 7.00 combo that had onion strips fried in disgusting old oil and the speciality cheeses sauce was a square of processed cheese that did not melt. A huge disappointment and highly overpriced. The Pudgey Seagull restaurant it replaced was phenomenal and,consistent with simple but great tasting fresh foods. Would never eat here again. Very disappointing and not worth rolling out of bed for again. Go to McDonalds and get a better and cheaper meal with less grease,as a base if you can imagine that.

Another family-owned mom and pop place that had great food for the price and the waitress was wonderful I love all these places I got to visit when I was back home in Rockford Illinois and I cant wait to visit them again someday

Huge disappointment. Bacon was crumbled in my blt. The bread was such small slices. My daughter had chicken tenders that look like they came out of a frozen package.

Not a restaurant for those from out of town.A restaurant full of local cliques, Chad will take care of them first and make you wait.Food average, Dennys is better !!Chad was an obnoxious, rude server from the first moment we walked in. We were never made to feel welcomed. Also, Chad knocked over the utensils as we were sitting down. An inauspicious beginning to say the least !!The last straw is he dropped (intentionally?) a plate of sticky pancakes on my young son. Not once did he comp the meal, nor did he apologize.Do yourself a favor and go to the local McDonalds and get service with a smile, as well as a play area for your children !!Not a place for children or out of towners !! P.S, I put the one star only because Google forced me to !! NO STAR RESTAURANT !!!
