Crazy experience with this company today. I called them this morning to see if we were still on the schedule to have our spa moved. Its been raining non stop for three days.Yes, they were coming out. We proceeded to empty the tub AGAIN, the rain did a good job of accumulating quite a bit over the past several days. The guys got here, saw that we were emptying the hot tub, said youre supposed to be ready for us, turned tail and left.By the time these guys figured out how to back out of our driveway, hitting my River Birch by the barn, several times, the tub was emptied. They were gone.I literally attempted to call the service dept from 2:30-4pm. Continuously. They never answered the phone, and the voice mail is not set up, so you cannot leave a message.Fabulous way to run a company.

I was waiting for my wife to finish dinner at restaurant with a friend. I wandered into this store to kill time - first time in a Great Escape. What I discovered was a great selection of quality patio products - and later discovered at competitive prices. After wandering a bit, I started shopping in earnest with some specific ideas in mind. Ryan offered his help, and he was great. He listened well and made great suggestions. After I left, I called Ryan for more info on a specific product. He did some research, and we kept the conversation going online. My wife and I returned together to make a decision. We ended up buying a product - different than the one I started with, but very satisfied. Ryan was great. The store was great. I will return!

Eh! Young person didnt seem too knowledgeable about the products we inquired about. Wasnt willing to go extra mile to find answers. Kind of like pulling teeth to figure things out. Wishy-washy! If we decide to go with the Great escape, wed have to research ourselves somehow, or try somewhere else. Such a shame when you have ppl willing to buy. Place was dead, plenty of employees sitting around register area. I know I would have tried harder just to get the knowledge and keep from being bored. 🙄 Take on a challenge. Luckily we are not in a hurry or desperate to buy.

If your looking ti buy a pool this is where to get it. Knowledgeable and experienced staff always going the extra mile to help.Ive had 2 issues and both times it was so easy I wish other industries would do the same. Carolyn was such a great help and super fast with a great attitude!!! Its like having an entire pool staff helping you maintain your pool!!!

Look elsewhere to purchase a pool! The installation is awful! The installers destroyed my yard. It was a rainy day and their excavator churned up my grass; now I have long trails of mud in my yard instead of grass. They shouldve put down turf plates to save my yard. Also,they left their boxes around my yard, threw a filter manual on my deck, and left without even telling me. To add insult to injury, I called and they told me that they would call the installer and tell him to contact me...... Im still waiting. For what I paid for the pool and installation, I expected better quality work and better customer service!

I went into the store on 5/27/21 to find a patio umbrella. Great Escape had a great price and I grabbed the last cream colored 11 foot one. I got great customer service from Patrick, as usual! He helped us with a spa purchase last fall. He could answer my questions regarding shape and also pointed the floor model so I could see how it looks open. He even carried the umbrella out to my car! SO appreciated! Thanks!

Large show room. Relaxed atmosphere and pleasant sales staff. Outdoors and indoor. All there for looking at and touching.very clean store. Employees are very polite and not pushy. Honest service. Pricy but worth it. Shall return.

I recently made a purchase of custom barstools manufactured in Quebec and sold locally at a number of different stores. The Great Escape gave me the best price and excellent service. Before making my purchase the sales rep Carolyn called the manufacturer and confirmed the estimated delivery for me. There was no pressure or gimmicky sales offers during my visit. I would highly recommend this store.

Great escape sold me a pool and installation. The details of the installation were never explained to me by the sales staff so to make a long story short the pool never got installed by great escape.The company never reimbursed me for materials and labor i paid them for. They lost a good customer.

Not very impressed with the furniture we bought. The cushions are poor quality. Clips broke off of the gas fire place for leveling and the plastic on the bottom rubbed off after one season. I feel the money we spent was not worth the product. Sales people were great product not so good.

Purchased my pool from Great Escape. No one else could come near the complete pool package including installation. Sales people are very knowledgeable and helpful. They stand behind their products, and are always willing to help work through any issues. I would gladly do business here again. Im updating my review because these people have great customer service and a few years later my pool is still awesome.

Good outdoor furniture option but very pricey. Purchased a great outdoor table from here several years ago and it has held up well. Alot of unique outdoor styles for every backyard and they have pool tables, outdoor pools and spas. For the amount of staff usually working however there never seems to be enough help.

Great Experience at Great Escape, Strongsville! We bought a pool from Carolyn this summer! It arrived when promised (actually a little early) even with Covid! She has been very helpful throughout the process. The whole experience: from Carolyn to delivery to installation and all the personal follow up support for this first-time pool owner. I’m so appreciative and my kids LOVE their pool from Great Escape!

Purchased a Weber grill and a replacement spa cover here many years ago and had a very good experience.I havent come here much for my spa needs in the past (chemicals, water testing, etc) but I am fed up with the Litehouse store in Strongsville. Most of the employees there are extremely rude and condescending and thats putting it nicely. Check out my Litehouse review for more details.Anyway, just brought my water in for testing and the employees at Great Escape in Strongsville were very friendly and helpful. Ill be back.

I had a pool installed 2 days ago and have dealt with Greg. My pool is beautiful. The installers however, not so much! I expected a mound of dirt and some back filling, but no one asked me where I would like the pump after they had poured hundreds of pounds of sand into the unit making it impossible to move. By the way, pole with electric very much in view for them so should’ve been able to figure that one out! When they finished, they didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me they were done or if I needed any instruction on the pump. They left a manual and cd on the ground by the pump! I contacted Greg and asked to have someone come out to move the pump into the area since I cannot. I shouldn’t have to risk anything happening to my new equipment after paying for installation. By the way, plan on setting up your own ladder—apparently that won’t get done for you either since I spent several hours on mine!! Very disappointed in the installation process!! Still waiting to hear back from Greg about when they will be over to fix this!! We’re gonna have problems if my water starts turning green while I’m waiting for this to happen..

We had a wonderful experience at the great escapes store in STRONGSVILLE! We had visited many websites and stores looking for a specific size fire chat set to fit our patio. The staff was friendly and most importantly informative. We found the fire chat set we were looking for at a very reasonable price with the help of Patrick. We really appreciated his help and guidance. We love our fire chat set!! Oh... beautiful umbrella as well . We will definitely be back next summer to purchase the matching dining set. I have been going to Great Escape for probably 7 years.always friendly people and always a great experience. I bought my pool from them and then I bought my hot tub from them. And all the accessories and chemicals whenever needed. I have pool stores closer to me, but I make the drive to go to Great Escape because the experience and people are so nice. I even went there today to take back a filter that I bought two months ago and I even opened it on accident. It was the wrong one tho 🤦🏻‍♂️. And Carolyn,the lady that helped me was so nice to still take it back and give me a full exchange for the right filter. Irecommend this place to anybody and I thank you guys again at Great Escape!! They have always been amazing!!

A couple weeks ago I bought a porch rug at the Strongsville store. I went for a pool but like everyone else, they were sold out. They still won my business because they were so nice and the price was unbeatable! I will definitely be back to buy my pool here! Every other store I went to, the sales people wouldn’t even approach me. At one store store I asked about why they weren’t coming up to me and he said “we have nothing to sell”. Well, this store didn’t ignore me because their pools were gone. And, they made a small sale because of it!

We purchased a pool May 9, 2020 and they told us they would call us the following Monday to schedule installation. They told us at time of purchase the installs were currently booking for the second week of June. We waited several weeks and did. It receive a call and finally called in ourselves. We were told the person in charge of scheduling was scheduling in order of purchase and she would call us. Long story short still never received a call and finally after calling in and leaving several voicemails they finally scheduled us for the first week of July. One week after install we noticed a small leak at the pump and called to have them fix it. They instead told us how to fix ourselves and gave us a free roll of Teflon tape. The leak was worse after I disconnected the part and reapplied the tape and reassembled. We called back and they said they would notify the repair crew and they had to respond within 7 days. (Good thing it wasn’t a major leak cause 7 days would drain the whole poo) In the last couple days we also noticed another leak at the skimmer box. Not sure how long it’s been leaking but the ground is super muddy for several feet from that leak. Today is the seventh day. No call from the repair crew. We called In And they said they would be out this afternoon. It’s now 6:16 pm. The store is no longer taking our calls. They just say a manager will call us right back. We’ve called in several times I. The last three hours. Still no return call or no one to address our issue.

We were in your store and I just would like to give a shout out to Carolyn whom was very helpful and super friendly. We will definitely be asking for her next time we come in to shop. Thank you again.

Bought an above ground pool from the great escape... beautiful pool! i paid a friend of mine to install it with the help of me and my daughter. hard work, would never do it again, but glad i did. after all that, i was intimidated by the filter and pump and chemicals i needed to get. i went to another pool place - small business in strongsville - thinking they would have better prices on chemicals. they tried to sell me $500 worth of chemicals!! i walked out because i didnt have $500 on me thinking this was it... boy is this going to be expensive!! i went to the great escape and worked with greg :) he said to bring me a water sample, so i went back the next day with bottle in hand. he tested the water and to my surprise he said it was perfect and showed me how to test it and what chemicals i needed in case the colors were off. i walked out $44 later with everything i needed. this place is honest, helpful and really made it easy. thank you!!!! they have earned a customer for life...

If you think you get what you pay for, think again. Our patio furniture cushions started falling apart after only 3 years, now 5 years, they look terrible. They never get wet, the patio has a roof above them. Stored away for the winter, we really do take care of them. Now to find out replacement cushions will cost more than the purchase price. Very disappointing. We would have bought cheap elsewhere if we knew we would be replacing in 5 years.

I wish I had something GREAT to say about my experience at the great escape. My family and I went there looking to buy a pool, or because of the lack of inventory most places have, were interested in talking about a purchase when inventory comes in. We stood around for 10 minutes or so looking to be helped and no one came over to help us. There was one team member on the phone 4 feet away helping someone, after hanging up the phone he walked away without acknowledging us. We waited another 6-7 minutes where we still not acknowledged. We went up front and stood for another couple minutes when I finally had to get attention of someone. I asked was it because of the lack of communication inventory that no one approached us and we were told we weren’t seen but that wasn’t true because I made eye contact with a couple of the team members. We are a African American family and in this strange climate that the world is in my child asked was it because were black. We don’t know these people enough to say that way the case hopefully it was a oversight. Hopefully we will have a better experience another location and Strongsville does not reflect the customer service standards of your company. They have good products and knowledgeable staff, however I was told that the filter i bought couldnt be used on my pool because it was made for a real pool and mine was an intex metal frame pool. Not a metal walled pool.... kinda felt like that was rude, also the shocked way it was said made it feel rude.

My only dealings with this company has been via phone and email. We have called countless times with an inquiry into purchasing a pool. No one will call us back. We received an email from a salesman that he will be in touch, two days later still no contact. We finally spoke to a person yesterday who said this particular salesman is off today and did we want to speak with a different salesperson. We said yes, and she asked for our phone number to receive a return call the following day. I guess they dont want to make a sale. Ive heard lots of positive feedback from friends who have purchased their pools from this store, but looks like I will visit Litehouse to check out their selection.

This is the third year I have had the pleasure of dealing with The Great Escape in Strongsville. Three years ago I bought and had my pool installed by Great Escape, at that time the store was in N. Olmsted. They have been very diligent and helpful. I have never been pressured into buying anything and the sales persons have always been courteous, helpful and pleasant to deal with. My contact person is usually Brian, however I have never had a bad experience dealing with any of the employees. Keep up the GOOD WORK, it is greatly appreciated.

This was our first year purchasing a pool and we couldnt have been happier with the Great Escape in Strongsville. From the time we walked in and were greeted right away by Terry, who was so informative and patient with all the questions we had. He really took the time to go over everything with us and help us make our decision. I then had the opportunity to work with Brian as he does the training they offer for new pool owners. He went over everything and gave me additional suggestions that would make life easier with how to maintain the pool. He has been great since the training to answer any questions I had over the phone and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. They are so willing to help you even after you have purchased the pool. I also had the opportunity to work with Matt the Manager of this store and he was very professional and helpful anytime I have been in the store. He helped with coordinating the schedule of my pool delivery and install as we had to make a change and the process went smooth from the start. Anytime I call the store they are always helpful and willing to take the time to answer any questions you may have. For a first time pool owner I have to say this is definitely the place I would recommend and go to for any future purchases. The staff really tried to upsell everything their prices were very high and they were not very knowledgeable Ive owned many pools and I really thought this place was a bit over the top the displays are nice the store looks good but the people there just were Goofy and hard to believe I bought my pool somewhere else as a result of my visit

Bought a very nice pool table at a reasonable price from a helpful salesperson. The installation crew did a good job--very careful and thorough, which is key in this purchase.

Sales rep was nice, product is good for the price, but just hope they get your order right. Ours was wrong and when I called, Dan was so incredibly rude, made it sound like it was my fault then asked when I was picking up the rest of my order they failed to deliver. Was told the showroom piece was to get me through and would be replaced, but that was never scheduled and I had to call again.

My husband and I bought a pool table earlier this year and we love it! Great quality at a reasonable price! Definitely recommend!!

We recently purchased a pool from the Strongsville Great Escape and had a wonderful experience. Our salesman, Brian, was very knowledgeable, he asked all the right questions to help us decide on a beautiful mid range pool package. It was nice not to be pressured to buy the most expensive, like we experiencd at a competitor. We feel that we got a great price. The installation was done professionally and on schedule and by their outside contractor. We had a small leak on one of the hoses and called for service. Since it is June the service department was very busy so our salesman, Brian, and his manager, Matt, came to our house after work and repaired it. Great low pressure, knowledgeable staff that are a pleasure to deal with. They have earned us as a customer for life.

We just walked out in shock. We came to purchase 6 theatre seats. The sales people did not know what the leather fabric was. ..they could not confirm whether it was bonded, or a fabric....just kept saying everybody is buying them....with a full mouth! Yes, they were both munching on something behind the desk and showed no interest in helping. ...the girl was a tad more helpful than the guy who continued to shove food in his mouth. We asked about the full leather ones...but couldnt try them out since they were not plugged in. They must not be on commission as they so easily let a large order pass them by....will never shop there again.

If you have to come here as an absolute last option just do not talk to Carolyn or whatever her name is she is the most unproffectional and rude salesperson I have ever talked to and she obviosly dosent know how to take car of herself. Constantly changing prices and getting cheaper when we are walking out the door Ive never seen someone treat people the way this lady does. Please save your money and headache and go to the litehouse in strongsville they will take care of you and arnt about to go out of buissness like this dump.

I already submitted this on the website twice and still have not received a response.I am new pool owner so of course I am in the market for my go to pool store. I am sorry to inform you if all of your locations are like your Strongsville retailer you will not be it. I live in Bedford but work in Strongsville so I stopped into that location on the way home at 3pm on Wed May 10th. I was greeted by a friendly women who who pointed me to another asscociate who knew about pools since hot tubs were her speciality. The employee was at the other side of the store playing billiards with what looked like 4 or more other emplyees. After taking his shot he came over to help me. I told the associate I was a first time pool owner and was pretty ignorant to what I may need. I knew I needed hoses and clamps. Very little was actually suggested to me with out asking about it myself. The associate was helpfull enough (kinda) but it was obvious that I did not have his full attention. More than ounce he made the statement Im not rushing you or anything take your time if that statem ent is said more than twice and it wa s.....that is a pretty good indication that you are rushing me out of the store. He asked no quilifying questions and explained nothing about what I needed or how to use it even after telling him I was new to pool ownership. I made my way to the check out were all of the employees engaged in conversation amongts each other while ringing me out. I purchased four clamps, two 6ft hoses, a opening kit, chlorine bobber and a vacum head. Now I am not sure if your company has shopping bags but I was offered none and carried the items out in my arms with out even one of the many employees at the cashwrap offering to hold the door. I am gonna be completley honest here. It will take a peerless act of liberality for me to shop at one of your locations again and it will not be the Strongsville location if I do decide to.Thank you muchVincent J Fiocco

Place is filthy and salesman are high pressure. The prices showing on hot tubs are if you finance through them, at a ridiculous rate.

This place is a joke, only maybe one good ones there, but the professionalism and the customer service is disgusting, called several times to speak with a manager and the manager (Shane) told me nobody ever told him some quality is good and some is disgusting ! Maybe they might have better Products but the outside patio I received was a peace is sh&$
