It’s a beautiful bookstore and the owner is very helpful. He helped me find some of the books I was looking for.But if you’re into philosophy, classics or indie books, this store isn’t the best. They have a small collection of the genres listed above and it’s extremely hard to find them.

Theyve got a diverse selection of books. I pay most attention to fantasy and science fiction, so thats where this review is focused. I was delighted to see many authors I recognized who arent mainstream or heavyweights in the genre, but who nevertheless carry strong recommendations both from those who adore the genre as well as from those who only occasionally dabble. This is a good place to visit.

Five stars because these people are awesome. They are super helpful and they have tons of books. If they dont have the book they can get it for you in a few days. I ONLY buy books from here now. I support our local book store instead of big monster amazon like companies who want to get the little guy out of the way. And if you need a book you can just get it instead of waiting. Pretty good prices too.

Its a fun bookshop and those are so rare now. The people there are super helpful in getting you what they dont have in stock.

Its a very good book store its very cheap

Though small in footprint, this excellent used book store is mighty in the number of titles it carries! It has extensive sections of used books, with a well-chosen smattering of new ones as well. There is parking in the rear. The proprietors are extremely well-versed on their stock and happy to help you find exactly the perfect book for a gift or for you to read yourself. Fun fact: the Book Oasis stands just above the site of a former Underground Railroad stop!In addition to all the books, theres a selection of games & puzzles, and beautiful handmade crafts perfect for a new baby or special occasion.

Ive gone here with no particular purpose in the past, end up chatting with the owners/employees for quite some time. Very helpful and knowledgeable.Its a small little shop, with LOTS of books. I can only imagine its the perfect place to find some unique gem you are looking for.

This is a great independent used (and new) bookstore with great service from a knowledgeable staff. This is our go-to bookstore for browsing and if we need something specific that the oasis doesnt have in stock theyll order it for us.

Great I dropped off some stuff they were very friendly

Employee very unfriendly I was short a penny and he just stood there with his hands crossed over his chest. Brought in a pile of gently used childrens books and he snubbed his nose at them and didnt select a single one.Would never go back Used books are too expensive anyway.

Great small town local bookstore. Very friendly and accommodating, they let you shop and explore without being followed or harassed to buy.

Service, selection, and a warm staff, are just a few reasons I continue to return. Huge selection of romance novels, great cook book section, as well as non fiction, which my mom loves. Hours that accommodate anyones schedule, so no excuses, you need to stop in!

The Book Oasis is a great used bookstore in Stoneham. For the size, its got a great selection. It also has unique gifts and cards (e.g., very cool shirts with standard phrases in Latin). The service is great.
