This is an awesome train store! The owner, Andrew, is extremely helpful and spent a great deal of time assisting me. I am partial to Marklin trains and HO scale in particular. I brought in three engines that needed repair and he was able to repair all three in under an hour. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows his trains!! I purchased an engine, several cars and extra track. I consider myself a novice and appreciated his patience with the many questions I had. I will be returning in the near future....this is the only Marklin certified repair center in the bay area (one of only three in the country if I am correct). Again...great service and selection. Definitely excited to return soon and expand my track system!

This is the best authorized Märklin dealer I have had the pleasure to patron ever. I have been collecting Märklin for nearly 4 decades and came across all kinds of dealers from brick and mortar to online stores. If you live anywhere in Northern California, I suggest you visit this store. Give Andrew a call to make sure he is there first. His store may seem unassuming at first, but you will quickly realize that you will want to buy more than what you initially came in for. Trust me that is a good thing here. You will probably also find that item that you desperately wanted a couple years ago for a very fair price. And do not hesitate to ask for an item that you are trying to find. Andrew may just be able to source it for you also at a very fair price. If one of your locos needs work, or digital upgrades, this is the place you need to go to. Andrew seems to have one of the best spare part inventories on the continent. I only recently started to shop here, after many Märklin dealers closed in the Bay Area (e.g. Talbots). Had I known of AC Eurotrains sooner, this would have been my one stop shop already. At the moment Facebook seems to be the best way to see what new items are in stock. Andrew is in the process of getting a website going. Very much looking forward to that. Keep doing what you do, Andrew. So glad to have found your store.

Andrew is a pro. He upgraded two of my Marklin locos with mfx decoders. One was a steam engine, the other a diesel. He installed high-performance motor, sound, and LED lighting - all done with exquisite attention to detail and top notch craftsmanship. Andrew is absolutely the best. I couldn’t be happier with the results. He is a perfectionist. His professionalism extends to packing and shipping as well!

I met Andrew today in the shop after previously reaching out to him on Facebook messenger weeks ago to see if I really had a certified Marklin technician an hour from my house in Lincoln Ca. I just got back into trains after more than 2 1/2 decade Hiatus but I had an urgent issue for one locomotive completely frozen from an Ebay purchase. I told Andrew I valued his time (we never talked money) and he gave me his full attention. I let him know I had brought all my trains and after four trips to my truck I had two nice stacks of my junk from Facebook marketplace and eBay sales. I had purchased a digital train new in box from 1998. It was a brick and completely frozen. Luckily the previous night I had not tried to help Andrew to much and he quickly let me know to my amazement that anything Marklin can be fixed. He disappeared behind the partition into his mysterious workshop and Andrew suddenly said “ Wow this has only been run minutes!” As the brushes were pristine. And suddenly there was whirring and whooshing and whizzing noises as Andrew explained that the oil over years in the gears turns to a hard varnish like crazy glue. Then I suddenly heard that noise only Marklins make? Could that really be my hunk of junk locomotive sounding like a thunder horse? He totally fixed what I thought was unfixable. Maybe he could fix the train I took apart in the 80’s. I showed him my brothers first train from 1974 I took apart In the 1980’s and put in a Dunlop tennis ball can and it lived in my locker at the firehouse for my entire career because in the 90’s San Francisco had 3 Marklin dealers and so did San Anselmo. They’re all gone now. I can buy a train anywhere on the internet but try getting a Marklin fixed if you can even find a train store. I told Andrew that my brothers train was not worth repairing but it had sentimental value since I want to give it back to my brother. I’m so glad he’s fixing it. I think he gave me a break on the price and I really appreciate it. He’s as honest as they come. Before you come to AC’s Eurotrains go to any other train store and see the meanest old men staring daggers at you. Trains are a great hobby. Beats looking at a screen. I have no grandkids yet but I’m building the layouts now. I took up a lot of his time and just handed him my card and said I really do appreciate your craftsmanship and told him to make sure I pay him what he’s worth. It was a bargain. If you’re pulling that train out after a long break go see Andrew and he’ll take minutes to oil and clean. I was missing springs and traction tires had crumbled into “not rubber” I left 4 trains with Andrew at his leisure to go through. He offered to mail them back to me but I said “are you kidding? I want to go back to the shop tomorrow. He has a lot of gear and I asked his prices and his numbers for “new”were better than a lot of eBay. Maybe Grandpa’s gone but Grandma has his train in the attic. If it’s Marklin you’re blessed because Andrew will get you going. Another thing I did was chat him on the other side of the wall and I told him my ideas and he had some really good suggestions since he’s forgotten more about Marklin trains than I know. If you have a marklin train you need to get into AC’s Euro Trains and the rest of you also need to get into AC’s Euro trains and get those kids something to play with. It would be cool if Mom’s who are friends with sons of the same age who want them to be friends for life start them on a hobby they can share. Thanks Andrew we’re lucky to have you and now I know why you have customers around the globe.
