In my quest to explore new coffee shops this morning I drove to stillwater, I have passed by this spot many times. When I walked in i knew it would be good,, most friendly small coffee shops are.I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. The kind sir making the food brought my sandwich out with a slice of bacon on the side! The sandwich was perfect, bacon egg and cheese. Perfect bacon on a perfect toasted muffin. I was going to eat in my car but instead walked down to the river to fully enjoy the food and give it the respect it deserves. The coffee was a great treat for my stroll on this Friday morning off. Thank you. Will be back soon.

I was very disappointed with the staff this morning. We walked in around 12:30, as we saw the open sign was still on. The male barista roles his eyes when he saw us and rushed us through our order. He was shouting to the other barista that he is going to close the coffee shop down as soon as these people leave. There were still a lot of people in the coffee shop still eating and drinking. He started closing the coffee shop and rushed us out telling everyone that we would have to use the lever on the door to get out. I will not be coming back to this coffee shop.

Adorable, cozy local coffee shop with a book store attached. The wife-husband team that run it are kind, prompt and make great food and drinks. Their iced tea is fantastic, and both our lattes (nutty Irishman and naughty Norwegian) were delicious. The scones and breakfast sandwiches were delightful. Will be returning on our next visit.

Quaint coffee shop attached to a little bookstore. Nice view of the river. Very cozy and by that I mean small. We did find a table opened up for our group but the seating is a bit cramped. I’m sure it’s better on the summer when you can go out to the patio. Chai tea was not very spicy but still had good flavor and the cafe mocha was tasty. Glad we stopped in to warm up.

A great coffee shop with lots of hometown love. Come in and support a great locally owned shop with great coffee, pastries and food. They do so much for the community. Pay it forward is at 228 days and growing. Watching people come in and not have to pay for their coffee because someone has already covered the cost is awesome. Cool shop downtown Stillwater overlooking the River and the lift ridge!

Wonderful coffee, as well as food. A large coffee only costs about $5 and they have a wide variety of specialities (I quite like the funky monkey) the food is a bit expensive but its absolutely delicious, especially with the black tortilla chips that come with it. I get a coffee and eat here nearly every week, I would definitely recommend this to my friends!

Ive been here a couple of times in the past and have thoroughly enjoyed it but tonight wasnt a good experience. I came from SE Minneapolis just for the food and some coffee. My fiance and I showed up at 6:45, 15 minutes before closing and were told they werent serving food anymore because they shut the kitchen down to clean up for the night. I dont know of other places that close their kitchen down early for easy closing. No business should close down their kitchen early. Keep serving food until closing, plain and simple. We didnt even get coffee while there. Very disappointed.

The employees are friendly, the coffee shop is relaxing, and is a great place for visiting with friends or getting some work done.
