They towed my truck in on a Monday and had my transmission rebuilt and finished by Wednesday. No run around no BS just took care of business

I do most of my light mechanical fixing myself, but anything I dont want to do or dont have the time or tools for I take to Performance. I trust these guys to do a good job, back the work they have done, and give me a honest price. They have worked on several cars and trucks for me over the years.

They do very good work. Communication line is excellent, whenever I needed to speak to Chris he was always available or he called back. They worked well with me. If you need time to save money, he is understanding about that and five you time. I would definitely recommend this shop.

I stopped here this morning, I just needed a bolt to re-secure a tailpipe. Something I would have done if I was at home, but being from out of town didnt have tools or bolts to work with. I was completely willing to pay for a few minutes of their time but my truck was fixed and they would not accept payment. I am very impressed definitely would recommend this shop...

As a College student, with no knowledge about cars, and some of the worst car luck in the world, this place did a great job at fixing up my Ford Escape. It went into their shop not even running, and I took it away today with it running better than it did before. They were kind enough to call my dad and keep me updated on my vehicle. Highly recommend to anyone having car troubles.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the service and repair of our older Toyota Avalon. All of our questions about the repair were answered before, during and after the work was completed. All were very considerate of my work schedule and our needs with having only one car. The car now drives like it did when it was new! We highly recommend Performance Automotive.

Honestly wish I could give zero stars. They rebuilt my transmission back in early February/late January and it never seemed perfect. I got back from a vacation about two weeks ago and noticed that it was not running right at all and leaking fluid. Since my transmission was still under warranty I took it to them to look at it. They told me everything was fine and that there was just too much transmission fluid. Which made no sense to me since it hasnt leaked since they last fixed it, but since I dont know more than the average person about transmissions I trusted them. Now I am stuck on the side of the road in Tupelo with a transmission that has completely shredded itself, spewing transmission fluid all over the road and on my engine. I do not recommend this place whatsoever and I would stay away from them, unless you would also like to be stranded somewhere after being thrown off the road when your fixed transmission locks up.

In early December my son, a freshman at State, blew his engine. His older brother came to his rescue and called Performance (who he has used throughout his college time) and had the vehicle towed in. Chris looked at it and worked up an estimate (replace engine!) My oldest son called me with the bad news. I was very sceptical about having an expensive repair done away from own mechanic (in Hattiesburg). I called Chris and discussed the situation with him and asked him to work up some alternates including having it shipped to Hattiesburg. I called my local mechanic in Hattiesburg (who I trust) and asked him to price out the work. It turned out the Perfrormance numbers were lower (excluding the hauling). I spoke to Chris several times before making a decision and finally agreed to let him do the work. They got the work completed within a week. I cannot say enough about the patience Cris showed and the support he gave me in helping with the decision. I now feel that I have a mechanic in Starkville I can count on while my youngest son is in school.
