Had yo go to Springfield excited for this place. Walked in mid afternoon and were put of 5 deluxe cookies.

Cookies were fine, not great, not good, but just fine. Great American cookies are better, Hyvee are better and neither cost as much these.Its probably in line for their overhead, but its more than Im willing to pay again for.average cookies.Staff was friendly place seemed clean. Steady business, short wait. Not a fan of the idea that you cant see the cookies until.after youve purchased them. Instead of a display counter like a where else, theyre kept in some kinda warmer under the customer service counter.

Cookies are great. Also, they love teachers. Also, the cookies are FANTASTIC. Did I mention the cookies are really really good here? They deliver too... just in case you need a reason to eat cookies without having to scoop them all out yourself (or just eat the entire bowl of cookie dough while binging Netflix Originals)

The cookies themselves are great. But they are ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS out of stock of all the deluxe cookies. Its easier to win the PowerBall then for the springfield insomnia cookies to have a smores cookies in stock. Walk in today and they had 1/6 cookies in stock.

I made an order at 11:19. At 12:03 I called them to see what was up, seeing how I live 5 minutes down the street. They told me my order had already left the store en route. Mind you im using the tracking feature that states it was still being prepared. 12:11 comes around (8 minutes after my call) and now my order is en route and 6 minutes later it is handed to me. Miraculous! Almost as if they forgot about the damn order. The cookies didnt come warm as advertising suggests,, and i would never pay 10 bucks for these 6 small cookies again.. terrible terrible service and quality,, really disappointing Thanks.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this store (so sorry for the long review)! I wish I had caught the workers name when I called because she was incredibly friendly and helpful.I ordered a large order (6 dozen) for a few groups of students. Due to Covid issues I needed them wrapped individually, and delivered half on one day half on another.Before calling Insomnia I tried a different bakery, and was treated poorly, I am so glad I switched to this place instead!! They were accommodating and amazing! On top of that they have yummy cookies!! This teacher will be ordering any and all cookies for my students (and myself) from Insomnia Cookies from now on!

The person I spoke to on the phone had poor customer service skills. She snapped at me because SHE said the wrong thing. She probably needs more training or clean the bathrooms instead but the cookies were warm and at my door at a reasonable time.

Where the sign on the door that states you’re a cashless business? First you turned me away because I didn’t have a mask, due to having breathing issues I can’t wear a mask for very long and you all stated it was a law, yes but that law has exceptions for people like myself. This time I wore a mask, placed my order, it was being made then it was stated that you were cashless. Shouldn’t that be posted, or ‘please use exact change’ or even said before the customer placed their order!

I have been to insomnia twice in the last year. Their cookies are amazing. However, this review isn’t about their cookies or ice cream. The last time I was here- the gentleman at the counter had just started (larger guy who is always smiling and joking). He had no idea what he was doing because he was new but took great care of me.Tonight during my second insomnia experience, I witnessed the same employee A YEAR LATER having a conversation with a guy who was walking down the street. It was very apparent he was not in a great head space.. visibly upset. The employee invited him into the store and gave him some real talk and cookies to pep him up and make him feel better about his situation.It is very rare to see this type of compassion. Due to this I will be giving all of my late night sweet tooth money to Insomnia. It’s not just about the cookies and milk to these guys. It’s about making the world a better place one conversation and cookie at a time.

Sad to see them turn into sheeple and fall to the no mask, no service rule. Always thought they were over priced cookies, but a fun treat for special occasions. I will never be going back after Tuesday when I was refused service because I didnt have a mask. Funny thing? The guy who was behind the counter didnt even have a mask on himself!! Refused service because of the mask ordinance. Under HIPPA law, you do not need to explain your health. We did and even showed our inhaler to breathe and were still told to leave. We have reached out to the city of Springfield, the attorney general, and the BBB.

Let me explain something to you why they got this one star first off everything there is God awful expensive but I was expecting that but what I wasnt expecting was they have this ice cream sandwich with cookies I asked them if they can put it in an ice cream container for me to not make a mess in my friends car the guy rudely tells me no the only way I can get one of those containers is if I buy a pint of ice cream will never go back to that place the guy with the long hair who works nights there and his rudeness is the cause of me not going back there

Save your money and order somewhere else!I ordered cookies to be delivered for a co-workers birthday a hour ago. The store is literally less than a mile from here and the delivery time said 25-30 minutes. I received no confirmation email and the tracking was not functioning. I tried to call and was on hold for 9 minutes before I was hung up on. I called again and was put through to a national number. They said that my order was next to leave the store - they only had one driver. That was over 15 minutes ago. My order still has not arrived and now my co-worker has left for the day.NEVER utilizing this company ever again. I only gave 2 stars because I have walked into the store before and had okay service. I DO NOT recommend paying $15 for cookies that cannot even get to you within the hour.The most frustrating part is when I finally got in contact with somebody, it was not a local person. Why does the local number not ring through to the store? Also, where are my cookies?? Going on an hour and 15 minutes at this point...

Went to get some cookies and was treated very rudely! I was a visitor from out of town, and was in Springfield for a Military Reunion. I had gotten a sandwich next door and thought cookies would be great to top it off for dessert. An employee named Krystal on 7/25/19, at 4:36 pm, was atrociously rude! I had some change to give her with my paper money and put it down on the counter to count out the correct change. She wanted it in her hand. She had to pick it up ohh the counter, which COMPLETELY upset her. I was being nice. Krystal slammed my change down with my receipt and was rude and laughing and went in back to laugh about what she did! I will never go back and I will be back in Springfield again!!!!!

*NOT SERVICE ANIMAL FRIENDLY*I thought it would be a good place. I went in with a group for my friend, Ambers, birthday. She has a service animal. He is registered and has a working animal vest. He is small and was attached to he waist with a leash. We were the only people in the store. The dog, Newton, is very friendly and causes no problems. The man behind the counter got cookies for two people in the group before telling Amber that the dog needed to be left outside. It was very dark and cold out. She said no, he is my service animal and is not causing any problems. He claimed that Newton was violating the health code. Not true. He told her to show his papers, or he had to leave. IT IS ILLEGAL TO ASK FOR THE DOGS PAPERS BY THE WAY! We had walked from a restaurant we had eaten at (Who happily greeted Newton). It was a 10 minute walk. We were not going through that for cookies. We left and he offered the last person out a free cookie. He was insanely hostile. He used sarcasm and clearly did not know what he was talking about. I will NOT be returning. Terrible customer service, and he actually broke the law. Worst place downtown.

I ordered cookies last night which took a while to arrive... when they finally arrived they were cold and hard (nobody wants to pay $10 for two cold cookies, right?). I accessed the Springfield stores website and filled out (a very easy) form and let them know about it. In less than 5 minutes I received an email form a very helpful customer service representative and was more than compensated for the wait/cold cookies last night. This store is all about making things right!

I have had not so great experiences delivery wise, but in-store is okay that I know of the few times Ive been in there. Although there was one point in time that I ordered the half dozen for cookies, and it took about 2 hours for them to get there. At first, when I did order them I wasnt sure if it went through or not because their website is super confusing to begin with. So I tried calling them but ended up getting forward to corporate because for some reason the store phone doesnt work. My order went through, and I apparently was one of the next few in line so it should be there in approx. 30 minutes. I was happy, so I waited. An hour and a half comes around and no sign of cookies. Really annoyed because it was midnight, and I had ordered around 10:30. So I called, again, got directed to corporate, again, and told them what was happening. I ended up getting a coupon for free 6 cookies in the future, which was nice, but the cookies still didnt get there until 1 am. I was very tired in the end, and I just wanted to go to bed. Cookies were warm thought, which made it a little better.

Cookies are delicious but some of the worst customer service. The online ordering messed up the order I placed and when I called to review, the representative was only willing to cancel the order and told me that I would just have to start over, repay and then the refund would hit in a few days. The error was from their site and not from me, but I was going to be penalized for it. Seems like they would have a better benefit to just deliver the correct number of cookies (since it was showing that they hadnt left the store yet). Customer Service is huge for return customers.

Tried ordering online from out of state for a family member in Springfield. Ive ordered online several times before. This time, it wont even allow me to look at the website. It keeps using my location and saying there are no stores in my vicinity. When I called, the phone system hung up on me. I called back and the person told me to send an email to blah blah blah. Since when did I get a part time job working for you? Wasnt calling you to alert you of your problem enough? Geesh!

The worse service buy manager ever the young man Insomnia Cookies is rude and doesnt think hes not a very smart man if someone hands are full hes telling you his kid is in the car he just trying to get them established in the car and his car seat and told you the lady forgot and I forgot to get the milk funny establishment all you have to do is go over there and ask her you dont have to ask me for a receipt and made me search my pockets in car while Im trying to get my son in a car seat for a receipt when you going back to work anyway. If I was a cute blonde or some old white lady he would never ask me for a receipt it would have went over there and ask the lady hey did you serve them did he forget his milk okay but because its a black man he wanted to make sure Im not trying to rob them for a milk when hes going to work anyway and can ask them this is why businesses lose business no customer service people dont care and Im never eating there again.

Was really excited to try Insomnia for my first time. Unfortunately all they do is take a cookie, warm it up, and pop it in a box and put a hefty price tag on it. The appeal here is the delivery...not the cookie. Try Julies Chewies if youre looking for a great freshly baked cookie.

Pricey specialty chain. Very moist, buttery cookies for in-store, pick-up, or delivery. Smores and peanut butter deluxe are great. Of course, dont forget the milk, also available here. At $1.50 for a regular and $3.00 for a large cookie, these are quite expensive compared to other desert options downtown, and the shop only has minimal seating. The price is justified for deliveries, but in-shop, I recommend going for the mix-in ice-cream choices.

My boyfriend (who does not live in the same city as I do) ordered me cookies as a birthday surprise. The cookies I got were absolutely delicious! However, after the delivery driver had left, I noticed that I had been given an entirely wrong order. My boyfriend had ordered oatmeal raisin and M&M cookies. I had a brownie. The only thing that was right was the 3 free chocolate chunk cookies that you could get with any delivery order. So, if you order cookies for delivery, double check that what you actually get is what you ordered before it is too late, like I did!! Otherwise, I have had no problems with Insomnia Cookies.

Wasnt too impressed. First time customer watching cookies be thrown in a box as present for girlfriend. Employee seemed more concerned getting myself out of store when asking questions. Store had zero customers inside and I wonder why with poor quality service. Cookies tasted alright, but definitely not worth the $9 I paid. Customer service was poor, zero eye contact and I did not feel I was welcomed to give this business my money. I will not return regardless what my girlfriend wants. Two stars given because cookies seemed warm. Two stars taken off for poor service, and one star taken off for cookies thrown in box.

Much like the others, my cookies took nearly 2 and a half hours to be delivered on a week night. I called the store after about an hour and was offered coupons for my next order, but I wanted some sort of compensation for my current order. Why would I want coupons to go back to a place that I had a bad experience at the last time?I order the cookies at 11:40. The driver shows up at 2nin the morning and I have gone to bed (had to be up at 9). I got out of bed, and asked if I still had to pay for cookies and he bluntly said yes. I said I don’t want the cookies then, and he said “sweet” and walked off.Bottom line: I’ve had a couple good experiences here and the cookies are bomb. However, if you are going to order cookies, plan for a 2 hour wait.

After a ball game we went to qdoba for dinner & decided to try Insomnia out on a whim. First, the prices. Good lord! A six pack of non specialty cookies was over $8!! You could go to the store & buy 2 or 3 chubs of cookie dough for that & make about 4 or 5 times the number of cookies. Then theres the quality. These arent bad cookies, but they arent special either. For about $1.50 a cookie, they should be memorable. Either in exceptional taste, or size. They were neither. I guess if youre in a rush & have money to burn, its not bad, Im just too cost conscious.

I placed an order online, and it took 2 and a half hours to be delivered. I called the store after the first hour and 15 minutes because my cookies were still baking according to the order tracker. When the employee answered the phone, they didnt say hello or anything, and after a few seconds of silence I just started calmly explaining that I was inquiring about the status of my order. The employee asked for my order number, which I gave him. Then the employee yawned and asked, How may I help you? as if I hadnt just told him. I explained why I was calling again, and the employee told me that the order tracker wasnt always accurate, but that my order would be out next for delivery. I thanked him and hung up. My order took an additional hour and 15 minutes to be delivered. By that point, I didnt even want the cookies anymore, but I had already paid for them. It was also getting late and I had to be up early the next morning for work and waiting for the cookies was keeping me up. When the cookies finally arrived, there was no coupon or discount for having to wait so long, and the delivery guy didnt even apologize for the wait. He just gave me the cookies and left. The order should not have taken that long to arrive, and there should have been some sort of compensation for the wait. Overall, it was poor customer service, and the cookies are way too expensive for this kind of thing to happen.

I waited at a location for over 2 hours only to get a call that they were at the wrong location. I called and asked for some free cookies or something in exchange for their bad service, and they gave me a coupon for 6 free cookies. That’d be okay, but I have to buy $6 of stuff to get those 6 free cookies, and they have to be online delivery orders. I give insomnia 1 star for their good cookies, and terrible customer service. #fyouinsomnia-EDIT their app is trash too I can’t even make a online order on this

Cookies are good. Pretty greasy. Not sure how they bake them but it does take a long time. The last time I ordered, the delivery person was rude and he just slammed the box on the counter of the front desk where I work, and walked away. The prices are fair if youre picking them up, but it costs way too much for delivery. I definitely dont recommend this place .

I live in a different state, so I thought this would be a cute surprise for my grandmother. I ordered them, received my email confirmation and the nearly $50 charge came out of my checking account. The day of delivery she sat on the first floor of her assisted living home because she is in a wheelchair and didnt think she would make it down fast enough. I told her there would be a delivery for her, being it was her 90th birthday!!! She waited until after 5pm and nothing ever showed. Thanks for letting down not only me but her!!

While alittle expensive, they have a good selection. The reason why theyre getting two stars from me is because of the laziness of their delivery crew. I placed an order to surprise my wife at work with cookies. She works at Cox Hospital, and I gave them specific directions on where to go. The driver just shows up, leaves a voicemail then drives off. I dont even know if she attempted to get out of her vehicle, go up to the second floor, or even talk to the security guard at the front. I get that they probably dont get paid well, but a 5 minute walk or a 30 second conversation with a security guard wouldve gotten the package to where it needed to go. Just really disappointed that my nice surprise was ruined. They did offer for us to come pick it up next day, but thats kind of not the point. It was supposed to be a nice surprise during her shift, not an errand for us to run after work.
