Great place for low to mid grade sport cards and older comic books. No new comics are sold currently sold here but, a great place to search for an issue you might be missing. They have a punch card/loyalty/rewards program and everything is very reasonably priced.

The man knows his stuff. Very friendly and professional. Sells online as well. Even has a reward punch card. Only open Friday and Saturday, but worth the wait.

I personally do not collect comics. I was attracted to the assortment of sports cards they have. Will definitely return as I still have not been through all the card boxes.

I was gonna buy Pokémon cards from this gentleman at the front counter and he was stoked that I was giving him business. I call him back a few hours later to add any other packs he might obtain to call me and I’d come pick them up since he has stuff that sits on shelf for a long time and can’t sell I thought we would benefit from eachother. As I mentioned the other packs he rushed me off the phone and just hangs up on me and blows me off. You Just lost my business and money. I’m Taking it elsewhere. Sucks that businesses have potential and just blow it.

Experience was terrible. Had some comics to sell and the person at the counter was rude and just took a quick look at about 20 comics, post 1977 and up, then just said a random price. Told him I had a couple of signed comics and he didn’t bother to look at them. I also asked him if he was interested in a life size plush Ewok, 1 of 350, and he didn’t know what that was. Sad.

Had my cousin go in to look for a couple comics. My local comic store went under. I would of had him mail to me. The worker wouldnt even try to help him or even knew if they had a certain popular comics. They were just rode to him. I buy alot of comics and was hoping to just have my cousin go see if they have it. Then I would wire the money to him and he would mail them to me. I will look for a better store. Sucks cause I dont like buying comics online.

Huge selection of comics and cards.

This place isnt much to look at but has a huge selection. Only open one day a week so you have to stop in on a Saturday. Not particularly vibrant or exciting, and it is very very quiet inside. This is not a good place to spend more than 30 minutes to an hour, but you might find the unexpected among their boxes.

This place was awesome when it was open all the time. Now they are open on saturdays when im at work... bummer

More back issues than any place in town (IMHO). Great prices and the owner if very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have toys / figures / wall hangings. This is a great store!

Cody is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Thousands of new and old comics. Great hidden gem of a shop. Game systems, video games, toys and card games. They have it all.

I just recently became interested in comic books. The young man that helped me was very polite and knowledgeable. My experience was very pleasant. I will keep doing business here. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Lots of back issues here and the boxes wind throughout the store. Better organization would make this shop 5 stars. Youll also find MtG singles and used video games. Definitely worth a visit if you love back issues hunting.

The guy who owns it is very friendly. I sold some of my games at his place and he gave me a really good trade. Far better than game stop.

Cosmic-King is an up and coming entertainment store that branches into comics, video games, movies, toys, sports cards, and even Magic The Gathering. Theyre just starting out so there is a small section of everything but youll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of their products. And if not, I dont know of a more affordable place to buy these things.You wont find better prices at Vintage Stock, Missouri Comics, or any other retail business in Springfield. So why wouldnt you check Cosmic-King out first? You wont have to spend a lot to get a lot.Say hi to Cody the young man at the register hell take care of you. Sometimes the owner Kirk is at the front he can answer any of your questions.

I stopped by while in town visiting family... nothing but a positive experience. The young man who runs the store is very knowledgeable and personable. Best shop Ive found in the area.

This in the best comic shop in all of Springfield. Cody the guy that runs the shop part is funny and the reason my family and I go. The prices are fair and cheap in springfield!
