I’ve been able to get cards at pretty decent prices, the only shop I’ve been at that carries Weiss cards which I love and I always pull amazing cards when I buy Pokémon cards here

Amazing visit! I came down to Virginia from vacation and I loved the place a lot because of the typical mangas, art books, stickers and everything that’s anime/ entertainment related!Also the one thing that I loved so much about this place is that even though it’s not the most biggest or spacious... it actually makes up because the entire store is filled with mangas and actual content instead of just being one big place with a lot of space but no Content. For sure will be visiting here again when I visit the dmv!

Selection, knowledgeable staff, and a passion for Anime!! These guys live a breathe this stuff. The store is a bit crowded with stuff, but that means more selection. If you ask the owner or employees anything about Anime, they will know the answer.

A little cluttered, but thats alright because their selection is impeccable-- seems like youd be able to find a special/collectors edition of any series youre looking for in here.Very knowledgeable and friendly staff that took the time to answer my questions.Will be making this a regular stop when Im looking to spend some money.

The only downfall is that it’s a tight fit going in and out, but still no reason to remove a star. For me, that just means they have plenty of great inventory. The workers were extremely helpful and had lots of insight and they were very friendly.

2 stars since it the only place that has decent yugioh cards; but when I ask your (cashier from day of original post) opinion on something im genuinely asking for your opinion and not for you to contuntue to scroll Twitter on your phone and peruse other people opinions while ignore those present; from the moment we walked in to the moment we left they were on there phone and aside from the answer of No they gave us to our question those were all the words shared.

Place was quite cluttered. Big manga selection and some decent figures. Prices seemed fair to me

Place staffed by decent, if slightly awkward folk. Good collection of manga, though they appear to be in the middle of some organization troubles, as there was a *lot* of clutter. I didnt notice the sign that let me know about their bins, so that is totally on me.No one wore a mask, though I did discover, as the owner has said below, that this was because all staff is vaccinated.

Super friendly work staff. The shop has so much stuff its a bit overcrowded with stuff. Focus is anime and ccg items, no MTG judge to run events; they were working on getting a judge to run events. Update: my comment about MTG play was there because it comes up in WoTCs search; please dont take it as a negative just info. Worthwhile store if you need anime stuff and maybe ccg things.

First time to this store loved it they had a great selection of cards. I will be going back whenever I need more cards.

The employees were super kind, considerate and helpful. The cashier there was very nice and just wanted to help a lot. 10/10. So many cool things here and I will be sure to come again sometime.

First time going in with my son and we was treated pleasantly. My son was able to choose his deck and the owner was able to help us with no frustrations. Store is tiny but overall good vibes. He made my son feel welcome and appreciated for loving the game of YuGiOh and being new to the game. Wish the store was bigger or hopefully gets bigger space but overall they have everything you would want. From comics to all styles of cards, accessory’s as well. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover it’s a good spot to go to. I coming back again.

Owner Discriminates against those with disabilities to the point that he charges them with an extra “service fee” that can be up to an extra $50 and talks badly about customers like those. He also does not follow Konami’s rules as an OTS store and blatantly refuses to provide any kind of receipt

The manager needs to work on customer service and his knowledge of the products but people can grow to learn this skill over time. But his sales associate who was very knowledgeable about the products and very helpful as I was looking around the store.

Best in the area. don’t listen to the bad reviews for this place. They just don’t get it.

Nice place with tons of manga and merchandise. The prices were the same as buying manga anywhere else. However, I did not like how the manager was treating his workers. The place was also very cluttered. I understand that this place mainly does shipping orders, but there’s ways to do so without having such a mess in the store. The place is small, but it needs some organization. The manager did not have a mask on until I came up to check out. After seeing other reviews on this store, I do not recommend going unless you are fine with the mess, and manager. The manager is unprofessional when replying to criticism on reviews. He will bring his personal life into replies, and be quite rude with his words.

Great place for all of your anime and card trading needs! I brought my son, after looking at 3 other stores, in looking for Pokémon cards and it was the best experience we have had. Not only did we get the cards but he threw in a tin to store the cards in afterwards. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great prices on manga

Sports Card selection hasnt been on par as of late, dont always have hobby boxes on release date and was listening to owner talk to someone in their shop about buying retail packs and reselling them in their store. Would look else were to support local sports card shops or youre going to be buying boxes or packs at ebay prices.Saw another worker unpacking retail boxes of Pokemon or other Trading Cards in his car to bring them into their store to sell. Not a good look.In November 2020 bought XR Panini Football Hobby box for around $250, today I saw the same box listed at $475.

It was a decent size store, but the layout left much to be desired.There was a lot of anime in there. Not going to lie, I was really impressed. It was sorted alphabetically, but finding where it started and then continued was a bit of a challenge. There were also bags and boxes full of anime stacked up and around.To counter that, though, the staff seemed petty knowledgeable about both anime and where it could be found in the store.I think it would be a great place to go if you either: A.) Know what youre looking for; or B.) Are familiar with the layout of the store. Which could work well for locals, not so well for out-of-towners.

Shame how this is the only place in the DMV to get mangas but it was worth the 1 hour drive. The staff were helpful and they offer sweet deals if youre looking to buy sets. Just make sure you call first because a lot of them are sold out. As a first time customer I do see myself making the 1 hour drive again

Walked in. Was greeted by someone who asked if I needed anything? I responded telling him I am looking for foil magic cards. He was then told by another man to keep working. The other guy asked me what kind of foil magic cards. I begin naming the cards I was looking for (there were five). In the middle of me speaking he says yeah we don’t have any foil magic cards.I came from Tennessee and have multiple completely foil competitive commander decks (ranging from $3-8k) if this is how he treats potential customers. In the first few seconds of being there I’m glad I didn’t buy anything.I walked in and walked out within 30 seconds.Recommend against anyone else going to this store.

Great place, and friendly staff. Steven is very helpful and knowledgeable. If you tell him what you’re looking for, he’ll do his best to get it for you. Had really good luck with an xy evolution booster pack I bought recently and pulled a reverse holo charizard! Will continue to come here, highly recommend.

Has great prices on manga and cool anime merch.

I’ve been buying from anime pavilion for a while now. It’s my card shop of choice for buying Pokémon cards. Gotten some awesome pulls (Champs path shiny zard V). Will be coming here as long as I can. None of the packs were tampered with or resealed. Every product or pack I’ve ever gotten from here has been factory sealed.

I would definitely find whatever stinks in there, I could smell it through my mask. Also a vacuum is a good idea! I was kind of taken aback by the clutter and the mess. Great selection of stuff though, but yeah I would address the cleanliness issue and also please wear a mask during the pandemic!

I got a box set that I was searching for and it was 25% off! Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The boss was vary rude and kept ignoring me when I would ask for something bc the dude was on his phone...

Just visited, this place is great! 😁 We bought a couple mangas (Demon Slayer and Pokemon) and all sorts of Pokemon card singles. Everything was well priced and the cards were super organized! Prior reviews mentioned a possible odor issue, looks like that got resolved. There are boxes on the floor space, but you can still browse through everything. A staff member and owner were present, both seemed really nice and personable. We will come again! ⭐5/5⭐

Took my cards to get appraised and they didn’t even offer what the store advertised it offered of 10$ store credit for every 100 I had to wait days for them just to offer a fraction of a penny per card regardless of rarity and even after that disappointing call I show up to pick my card make it home go through all of them and realized they stole cards out of my collection.

Just put it simply you need to shower and it stinks maybe I would suggest candle and you also order your employee around with an iron fist. But your manga was the only thing organized in the whole store There was way to many boxes sitting around.

This place was great! Though it was pretty small, it had a HUGE variety of manga, I don’t think I’ve seen that much in my life 😅. I saw lots of figures and merchandise aswell and when I get a bit older I might just spend lots there 😌. I ended up getting v1 of JJBA and I got a candy after, Definitely recommend.

The store reeked of BO, even through a mask it was unbearable. Calling it a mess would be an understatement, boxes were piled up higher than my head and the spots that weren’t covered in boxes were covered in stains. Unless you are going there to buy manga, don’t go and don’t be surprised if a creature crawls out of it while you’re reading.

This store is always in stock with Yugioh when the entire DMV area is out of stock. Great staff and collection.

DONT BUY POKEMON CARDS FROM HEREthe packs i opened were resealed, at first glance they look fine but after trying to open them u can tell they are resealed

The owner and staff here are so friendly and helpful. If you come in here to shop expect to have at least a few different conversations while youre here. They carry a WIDE variety of manga, anime, movies and box sets, as well as collectors editions. Some good and rare finds here, plus an endless supply of trading cards and accessories.

I was in the store for about 20 minutes before anyone approached me to see if I needed help. Once I was acknowledgedthe service was great.Edited:I read the response from the owner, however he must have me confused with another customer. My review was late in posting but my visit was well before Christmas Eve. I came in on a whim one evening when visiting another establishment in the complex. The selection was good but hard to navigate due to the sheer volume. I still feel even a quick hello as I came in or walked would have done wonders for my experience.

Is there like merchandise and toys of anime things?

I ordered the Revolutionary Girl Utena Rare 20th Anniversary Ultra Box. It was a bit expensive, but this store was the only place I could find it. The package was very well packed and taped and sealed very well. It was a package inside another package with much packing material. That is how protected the item was. Processing of the item and shipping was prompt and fast. As for the actual product, everything was brand new and sealed and all the items in the limited edition set were included. They also included a receipt and info about various Anime Cons in my area. I have seen some negative reviews from others regarding their management, but as far as my personal experience with them, it was very pleasant and the product was beautiful and in excellent condition.

Super cramped but the Marine is awesome. Really sweet guy wish him the best!

Arrived on Sunday at 1110 (posted open hours both online and on the door is 1100). The store was still locked with no employees in sight. After a few minutes, I met a young YU-GI-OH player who was also waiting for their weekend tournaments. He had nothing but positive things to say about the place. Waited until 1130 but no changes. I had to leave since I had to pick up people at the airport.

I love it here! I have never found any food stains in my manga also, they have amazing prices!(I Hope digital doesnt kill them)

So first the positive: had good selection of cards, kids liked the pokemon cards they have. The employee lady that works there is very nice and was a pleasure to talk to. She seems to have worked here a long time and was very helpful.The not so good: The store looks not well kept inside. Everything was very dusty and very disorganized, stuff is piled everywhere. Very few items had prices so had to constantly ask for every item. Bathroom was not clean. A few of the patrons hanging out there appeared to not have showered in a few weeks and smelled pretty rough (not sure this is on the store)Overall not terrible and not great. If the store cleaned up and organized would give higher rating.

I actually liked this place until I heard an audio recording of him speaking to his employees. He treats his people horribly. Calls them stupid, tells them to shut up and is cruel to them. Rather than just fire someone, Steve abuses them verbally.Over priced and bad attitude from owner. Friendly staff that are knowledgable about what they sell! Store has many items to choose from...perhaps too many. The store is packed and there is little room to walk, throwing items out or putting them on clearance would help make the space feel cleaner.

Man was very nice when we walked in. Loved the selection of Manga they had!! Just wish prices were alittle cheaper and they had more figure selection.

Very disappointed,Initially the new guy working the cash register was very helpful, even getting out the step-ladder to check the price of a figure that was up too high for us to see.Once we were checking out however the books we were trying to buy came up as the wrong price in their register and even after adding the 10% discount the total price was too high. We realized that they were trying to charge us the Canadian price that was listed on the book instead of the US price. Even when we pointed this out to them the person who was in charge insisted that that was the price they were selling it for despite their being no additional tags anywhere on the product to suggest a different price. They tried to argue that it was because of tax but it was still too high even with tax.Im very disappointed that we drove an hour and 15 minutes to be overcharged. The manager seemed to care more about playing in the card game tournament that was going on than taking care of his customers. I wouldnt recommend shopping here.

Steve Lin the owner of this place is a piece of work. I dont know why the rating on this is so high? He treats his employees like garbage. His way of teaching someone is sitting down and pointing and yelling at someone. The prices are so ludicrously expensive you would be better off going to Amazon. The store is always a mess. He only pays his employees in cash and is very homophobic, transphobic, ableist, and sexist. He literally said and I quote I wish it was back in the day when all the transgender cosplayers would get beat up. Its no wonder he cant actually keep people for very long. He only pays his employees in cash and expects his employees to fill out W4s. He says hes been in this business for 25 years, and well a lot of things have changed since then and the only person that hasnt is him.

I called the shop to ask if they bought trading cards. He didn’t even answer the question and said “You got to call on Monday.” Then I tried to ask him another question and he interrupted me and said “call Monday bye” and hung up on me. (Very rude and unprofessional)

Nice staff with a wide collection of Yu-Gi-Oh cards as well as a massive amount of manga, anime, figurines, etc. Packed from ceiling to floor, its a scene straight out of a weebs daydream.

These guys are awesome. The atmosphere is so friendly! Went in there and played MTG Commander for about 3 1/2 hours. Staff are super accommodating and theyve got an amazing inventory! Theyve also got a formidable amount of Yu-Gi-Oh players in attendance on the daily. Come play some Commander with us there on Saturdays from 2pm-5pm. We have plenty of spare decks, were willing to teach, and if you like the game then you can buy a deck from this great store that deserves more patronage than it gets! I cant wait to go back next weekend.

This place is poorly managed. I do not know who the owner is but he should fire his game card manager (not the sport card guy, he is cool and helpful) The other guy is late at opening, late on tourneys, holds the matches for his late friends, changes policies for himself, plays in the competition himself instead of managing the store, cusses/threatens customers, and treats his staff like crap. Not to mention the place looks like it hasnt seen clean since the place was built.If you want a nice game/comic store just go to victory comics down the street. That place is awesome.

Lots of anime, manga, figurines, posters and collectibles. You could spend a long time perusing through all the interesting stuff this place has to offer. Best not to go on weekends, a lot of gamers and its extremely tight/narrow.The shelves were angled so they give you little space to move. My boyfriend brought a DVD of a 1987 anime up to the front to check it out - it WASNT a collectors edition, and they were asking him $149.99 for it. I looked it up on Amazon, for the same exact anime, new, in the box was $30 total with shipping. Did a little research and apparently Japan is charging US sellers more for it, in the realm of $85. Its still not $149.99. I get they need to make a profit but thats kinda ridiculous. If you want something from here, compare prices online first.

It was a good first visit. I saw the place while going to my friends house. I was delighted to get free magic cards. But I came at the wrong time. Every thing was gone. But Im looking forward to my next visit.

A nice little nook shop. Has a decent selection of anime and manga. An aisle filled with goodies like stuffed items and figures. A gaming area in the back with a couple tables. The place is very small however and very cramped with everything they have to offer in your face. Has the perfect feel of an anime shop but needs to expand space and inventory. A location with twice as much space would do them justice. Helpful knowledgeable staff, would go again.

Pretty small, as game/anime shops go, but not lacking in variety or volume of merchandise, nor in cute & friendly staff. Primary card game offered and facilitated here is Yu-Gi-Oh but they sell Magic Cards (MTG) too.

Bit a typical dingy basement card shop. However, the staff was helpful/knowledgeable and the people patronizing​ polite. I will be returning for their Yu-Gi-Oh dueling days this Sunday and will update with my experience.
