We used Paul Phillips for our groomsmens tuxedo rentals along with the ushers and both of our fathers suits. That was 11 in total! Even with a couple of our guys needing to exchange last minute for bigger sizes, they had it all covered. I was so impressed with the selection and their customer service! The process was so easy and they were super helpful and accommodating to our needs. Even when I, the bride, changed my mind on the color of ties the day before. Defiantly recommend Paul Phillips! Will be using them and recommending them from now on.

This is a wonderful hometown shop. Wedding Tuxedos needed for family coming in from out of town - they worked around our crazy schedule. They measured perfectly and no alterations were needed. Great friendly clerk that found out there was an error between delivering it to my home town store and me picking it up from their Springfield location. But my home town location isnt open until the next day so within 5 minutes they had me another one ready! Great place used them a few times before and plan on using them always in the future! I met Paul at a wedding expo in Joplin, MO. My wedding party is from Nevada, MO, so about 2 hours from Springfield. I chose to go with Paul Phillips Tuxedo because of the affordability and customer service. The guys here were GREAT. We had wrong measurements sent in, therefore 12 of our 14 tuxes were the wrong size 2 days before the wedding, but they were AMAZING about fixing this, as none of it was their fault. I will recommend Paul Phillips to everyone! They are a GREAT company!

Great quality in service and products. These guys know what they are doing. On the day of fittings for groomsmen suits, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of what kind of suits would best for the wedding. They sized us and fitted us accordingly to what we needed. This is by far the best suit shop that I have ever encountered.

Love them. We have foreign exchange students along with our own children so this was tux #5 for us. They are always quick and accommodating. My student had a wonderfully fitting tux and looked extra sharp. We may only have a few more proms but my boys will get their wedding gear from them also.

Town, and he had all the color options we were looking for. However, I sent my son in to try on, and the tux was extremely tight. My son (16 yo) didnt know to ask for a larger size, so he walked out with a suit he could barely move in, even though it was seen and checked by the owner. That is a huge frustration. I would expect the man to say, This is too tight - let me get you a bigger size. He was working with a teen who was obviously new to this.My son returned the suit late, with a rip in the pants which he was unaware of. The owner charged him for the pants, but gave him a huge discount on the late fee. Props for that. However, on the phone, he insinuated to me that my son might have delayed returning the suit, because of the rip. I do not appreciate that insinuation, but do appreciate the discount, and the fee will be a good reminder to my son, to always return your items on time - it is all on his dime.Lesson learned, but not sure whether I will go back. Admittedly, part of our problem was inexperience and tardiness on our part. The next time might be better. Just be sure to ask for a different size, if it doesnt fit, and RETURN IT ON TIME! (That was for the newbies who might be reading this.)

Never rent from this place rented a tux last year everything was great did not have to try it on rented a tux this year picked up tried the jacket on did not button and it took everything else home when he came time for the dance the vest didnt fit all the white shirt would not button to the very top and a jacket was too tight when I returned the tux I I politely ask for a partial refund they said we dont do that period We wont-work with you at all you should have tried it on before you left but nobody told him to try on the entire thing and I asked for the owner and he said he was being nicer then Paul. NEVER NEVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!! When I went to pick up the tux they never told me to try it on. When it became time for prom the vest did not fit at all and the white shirt did not button up all the way once prom is over I went to return the text and asked for a partial refund and he said they don’t do refunds and I asked for the owner and he said he was being a lot nicer than the owner and he wasn’t going to do a partial refund. Never rent from this place!!!!! They even measure you and can’t get their sh*t right!!!!!!!

When we went in for our grooms tuxes they didnt even seem interested at all in helping us, and had absolutely nothing we looking for and talked us into something else. We switched to Karls and when I called to tell them the guy got mad and was rude and hung up on me because we didnt want to use them.

My son Kelley got married Saturday 10/26/19 & as a mother of the groom I volunteered to take the tuxes back. Then with my crazy busy life I forgot to take them back until 11/01/19. The man who helped us was fabulous, he waved the normal late fee & was so understanding. Thank you so much. I have used this company for years and will continue to use & recommend them to everyone.

Awesome place have went there for Junior and Senior prom the tuxedos fit amazingly and they helped me make sure I looked good and matched but not overly matched my date. The staff there are very nice and very helpful and do everything in their power to make sure I looked nice measuring me and making sure the tuxedo fit perfectly. Would give them more than five stars but five is all I can give.

These guys are fantastic! My groom and I started with another formal wear store for our wedding which turned into a nightmare... these guys really saved the day and provided us with the most amazing tux! I could not have asked for better service. ALSO, we had a lot going on and accidentally drove our suit up to Kansas City, they assured us it was no problem and we could bring it back after our honeymoon and told us to just enjoy ourselves! We saw Paul Phillips at a wedding show and ordered a great package deal for the men which included jeans, shirts and vests. (We had previously rented prom tuxes which turned out great.) This wedding package was a terrific deal, very reasonably priced and the company was easy to work with. When the groom changed his mind about the jeans a week before the wedding, everyone was very accommodating. Sizes were perfect and everything was ready when needed. Definitely recommending this company.

Ive been to every suit shop in town Paul Phillips is the most affordable and these guys just have an eye for measurements. Suit and tuxes always fit better than I would have imagined unti Im wearing them. They are always super friendly if you do need any alterations, unlike Mens Warehouse that will charge you $200 then try to convince you the suit fits fine instead of taking responsibility and helping correct the damn thing. Will never willingly chose any other suit shop in town, Paul Phillips Formal has earned my business.

We were planning on renting here for my sons homecoming. Then 2 weeks before his grandma passed away. I wasnt sure what he should wear. The staff gave me advice a d my son looked amazing. We later rented again for homecoming a d my son looked absolutely flawless and his friends rented from there too. Unfortunately I had some health issues and they really were caring and professional. I felt like they really cared about my sons homecoming and concern for his appearance at the funeral. Paul Phillips made huge difference in both cases and made it so easy and stress free.

Good fit and all around experience

Honestly, do not waste your time. Over half of the groomsmen had something wrong with their tuxes. Huge stain on the pants, stain on the a vest, cuffs inside the jackets werent sewn in and came inside out, ivory shirts were dingy and dirty, shirts had blue pen marks on them, HOLES in the pants of the groom. Just to name a few. I mean I could go on and on and I am not exaggerating. When we first got here, we were super excited about this vendor and thrilled they carried their own inventory to help with sizing issues and whatnot. I will note my best friend used them for their wedding, and had no issues but this was clearly not the case for us. The part I cannot get over is they are a dry cleaners and so many items came STAINED and very dirty. We did voice our concerns to them and they did try to make things right by offering to bring new items to the venue but at that point, we were over it. Did it ruin our day? No. The tuxes looked fine for the most part after we exchanged some pieces and just accepted the others. The tuxes themselves were nice but it was unacceptable to send dirty and stained articles of clothing home with the wedding party. For the price it cost to rent a dirty tux, you can purchase a 3 piece suit elsewhere (Mens Suit Mart - which we wish we would have done instead).

The staff was very caring and concerned that I look good and presentable for my grandmothers funeral. Then two weeks later I had homecoming, and once again they had me looking fresh! And my friends too.

I came in about a week before the wedding and he got me measured and within a few days had it ready for me try on a couple days before the wedding. We had a student here at Glendale that was in need of a tux and wanted to go to prom, but couldnt afford it. I called and was completely prepared to pay for this young mans tux. Mr. Phillips insisted on taking care of the cost for the young man. Their prices are very reasonable and I would highly recommend, purely based on their willingness to help someone in need.

Ok. So... I have to say. The beginning of my experience was above and beyond great. Even during the process getting closer to our wedding day it was great.Fast forward 2 days before the wedding. My mindset has changed completely and in a very fast pace.I took my younger sons in to pickup our clothes for my wedding. We had the typical and Im sure very common last minute changes that needed made and for the most part was no issue at all. Until we got to the shoes.When my bride to be and I went in and picked out our choice of what we wanted to have for our wedding we were told some very nice brown shoes would be included with the rental. We were shown the shoes and yes they were a great match!!!! We were also told that for an extra 15.00 bucks we would be able to keep the shoes!!! Hey. Thats an awesome deal right???Well. The gentleman who had helped us during our whole process was not in the shop today instead it was Paul Phillips. And I have to say. He was a bit of a pill to work with. It started with him seeming extremely impatient with me and my boys. And it just got worse from there. When we got to the price I was told something different then what was originally agreed on. When I asked about this I was made to be as if i was trying to pull a fast one and I felt as if he was calling me a liar in front of my sons.I left the shop paying more than expected due to not being able to secure what I would need elsewhere in such a short amount of time 2 days before my wedding.After leaving I realized none of my groomsmen had the suspenders we ordered. I returned into the shop and spoke once again with Paul and he once again told me I was wrong and we did not order them. I asked him to look again at the ticket to which he reluctantly did and returned with suspenders. And I never got a pair of shoes we paid for on top of it.Now. Lets move to the wedding day!!!! Its supposed to be a great day!!!!! But.... Paul Phillips decided to try and ruin the day. He not only called multiple people within the wedding party multiple times. But he also called the Bride to be more than once while she was getting ready. She finally answered and he asked for my number.I get not one. Not two. But three calls from Paul. One of which he called from a restricted number??? Who does this???? He left distasteful voicemail for me and when my phone rang again I answered. Its like all he wanted to do was fight and then he demanded to know when I was returning from my honeymoon... none of his business..Now. Today he is calling those in my wedding party and harassing them!!!!!!! Never again Paul Phillips...I have never been treated like this by a company in my life. I would highly recommend using someone else for any of your suit rental needs.

In addition, our prom was rained out and delayed for one week. The gracious staff of Paul Phillips allowed us to keep the tuxes for a week free of charge. Edited: they called after reading the review and gave us our money back so they made it right. It won’t let me delete the post but wanted to update this review.They had a booth at the Metropolitan Bridal Show. Two Phillips Tuxedo employees told us the deposit was refundable. We ended up eloping and didn’t need a tuxedo and went back to get our deposit and they refused to refund saying it was non-refundable. Poor customer service and either employees were not trained well or both of them lied just to get our money.

As I was planning my wedding, I was asking people I knew for their opinion on where to rent the tuxes. Several recommended Paul Phillips Formal Wear. I couldnt have made a better choice. I lived out of town, and communication over the phone about the tuxes was probably not the most ideal way to go about things. But the staff was very good about answering all my questions and explaining the different options of tuxes. The prices are competitive and reasonable. I will return to Paul Phillips for any future formal attire needs!
