Follow up: I took our car to another Subaru dealership and was told that the reason my stuff wasn’t working is because they didn’t plug in our lights and they left a pump disconnected. Great techs you have over there. Oh and apparently my tire has had a hole in it for a while and this was not told to me. My new and good Subaru place has reported them for this negligence. Photos of my service notes from the good Subaru place below. “Reliable” Subaru sent me off their lot with a loose battery, a tail light not plugged in, and a tire with holes in it.My husband and I bought a used Subaru. Great car, lovely experience with sales. And that’s where it stops. Service hung up on me because I asked a follow up question (and not rudely, I manage a customer service department, it was to ask when they had open times). Asked to speak to a manager and haven’t heard back. Three. Weeks. So, all of those extended warranties I bought? I guess they’re worthless because the service department doesn’t want to help you. What’s super sad is we love our car, but I can’t fathom buying a vehicle from a place that won’t even let me ask when they have available appointments. Worst customer service ever and honestly not worth the $26k dropped. Honestly tempted to report them to the bank I got my loan from because they’re not holding up their end of the deal on all of the money we spent to ensure our car would be good. 0/10 recommend.

The worst service department Ever!!!! Getting in is hard. The second time I went for a oil change the guys tried giving me someone elses car 4 times!!!!!! I was there 3 hours for a oil change. Then the spilt the oil pan under my car so it took longer!!!!! Also I went to order a windshield they said we will call u when we get it in. Week went by and no call. So I called them and they didnt know why the windshield wasnt in. They had to call me back. Then tell me Oh you cant get a Windshield because of Short supply. Ridiculous. I will never own another Subaru because having to use their service department is a Joke!!!!!!
Great and Friendly Sales! One week has flown by since I purchased my New 2022 Subaru Outback. Bobby M was a great sales rep. The test drive was awesome! Bryon Edgerton was an excellent sales representative. He was informative while being laid back and friendly. Covid has made selling and buying cars more difficult, but Bryon was relaxed and worked extra hard to help us. We never felt pressure to buy. We had a wonderful experience at Reliable. I would recommend folks in the area to start their search at Reliable. It was our third place to visit, but by far was the best of the three. My terrible experience at a local dealer four years ago left a bad impression on me, but I’m happy to say it couldn’t have gone better at Reliable. Reasonable people, not time-wasters.
I cant compliment our Subaru sales associate, Debi Pickett, enough.From the moment my wife and I met her, we liked her (and were natural skeptics). She was kind, patient, understanding, knowledgeable, funny, and helpful. We felt comfortable with her instantly. Without question, this was the best vehicle purchase experience weve ever had. On June 26, 2021 while traveling through Springfield Missouri on vacation with my family I had multiple warning signals on the dash of my 2018 Subaru outback. Pulled into reliable Subaru and spoke with Danny Vaughn and expressed my urgent need. Danny spoke with a mechanic named Jasper who stop what he was doing and plugged in my vehicle and fix the problem within just a few minutes. Thank you to both Danny and Jasper what a lifesaver. I may just travel across state to buy my next Subaru how reliable suberu.

Appointment for oil change - still sitting in the parking lot waiting 2 HOURS later. Why am I sitting in the parking lot on the curb? Because they have a sign requiring masks on the door and the workers inside still don’t know how to wear a mask - under their noses and there are 5 people in the waiting area with no masks. I have used this place for 4 years and highly recommended Subaru because of the great customer service. I don’t know what happened, but this place does not care about customers health or their time.Won’t be back.
Service Department - absolute worst service. Called day prior to appointment to program a vehicle and towed the vehicle 2 hours one way. Was given the price of $150 to program the vehicle. When I arrived, person in service department handed me a pad and pen and told me to go get my VIN off of the vehicle, OK - will do, I guess. When time to pay for services performed, was charged $282, way more than quoted, and an environmental fee of $23 was added to the ticket - - WHY? For a computer Scan? Where has customer service gone these days?
Great dealer from start to finish. We negotiated a price from a different dealer and they matched the price and even did slightly better to be able to keep us local instead of driving. The dealership was clean and the entire crew that worked there helped us get through the process of purchasing the vehicle. Overall a great place to purchase from.
The Reliable dealership, service department, and management are top shelf. Just finished with my first service of the vehicle, which was free. When I pulled in there wasn’t a hairball of customers trying to get helped, it was me and the guy at the counter. Even though it was just an hour service he offered me a Lyft which I accepted to get to work. He also set up the return Lyft so all I had to do was click a link in a text and I got a ride back on my lunch hour. It felt so good to have calm knowledgable people waiting on me. And they even washed the vehicle! I’m in love with the Springfield Subaru dealership and I recommend them to everyone. Another bonus is the vehicles are awesome - go Crosstrek.
I took my six month old car in for an oil change and was told my car was running great. I then went on vacation to find my car smoking because the oil cap was left off and now I have oil all over my engine bay. When I called them for help I was told that no one was available to help me. They took my information and was told Id recieve a call back but never heard back. Very disappointed in their service.
This rating is for the Hyundai section. They are consistently longer to get oil change appointments compared to their competitors. They told me my car was ready for me, I went and talked with the staff about appointments scheduling for about 5 minutes. I then paid and went to find my car was nowhere around. I went back in to ask where my car was. They said it was in the car wash. 10 minutes later my car comes out of the car wash with soap all over it. The employee then took it around again through the wash. Another 10 to 15 minutes and I get my car. Just an all around bad experience.

Friendly people. REALLY busy. Good snacks and drinks in the waiting area. The only reason I give four and not five stars is because of COVID precautions. Only two people--one in service and one in sales--wore masks properly and for the full two hours I was there.
I purchased my Subaru Forester in 2016 along with the extended plan for oil changes and tire rotations every 6 months. The staff there is Friendly, Courteous, Fast and Reliable. Since getting mine, my dad and nephew are now also included in the Subaru Family.

They were helpful and not did they act like anything was an inconvenience. Although I really do not like the whole car buying experience, it was pretty painless.

They are always super friendly when I get my oil changed and its nice to go somewhere and know youre being taken care of well. I disliked everything about buying a car here. They gave us the back and forth with the manager on price which I hate. My wife was then pressured into a warranty I didnt want, and of course it doesnt even cover what we needed it for. 2500 miles and Im paying for a new tire already. NEVER BUY A WARRANTY.
Picked up our 2020 Forster and received exceptional service from our sales person. She was a strong advocate and made sure every detail was correct.
Service here is great. I have tried other shops but have always had to come back to the dealer to fix problems that couldn’t be fixed elsewhere. They always do a thorough job. Most times they go above and beyond! I have had body work, mechanical work, and detailing done here. All have been great and they also provide wonderful detailed spreadsheets of work done. They are willing to work with you when it comes to parts and can often get parts other stores cannot. They are also dog friendly!!
Was a great experience, I’m a long time Subaru owner and they didn’t fall short to help me and my family add another Subaru to our collection! Cassidy was not only extremely personable and professional, but made sure we didn’t have to lift a finger in the entire process and did it with a smile on his face! Very nice, helpful staff. I was greeted immediately and throughout my stay by various employees. Two waiting rooms; one inside, one outside where you can view them working on vehicles. I was catching up on work and the associate told me that even though my car was ready I didnt have to leave. Highly recommend for superior vehicle and customer service!

Horrible horrible horrible. Used car salesman Ethan was a mess. Had been in contact by email and text. Got there to pick up car with pre approval and was shown a dirty car that had not even been thru service. Pre approval was junk. Was supposed to walk in trade car sign paperwork but nooooo. He had done nothing to get the process rolling until I got there. Had told him I was not comfortable being stuck in office when paperwork could be prepared in process. After 45 mins with no answer on anything. I left without the car I was approved for the night before. All of the items they wanted me to email never went to anyone. Horrible experience. Horrible way to run things. And as a shop owner who orders part from this place, well never again. They have lost my business all aroundEdit and update..So it got worse the day after. Was banned from car lot do to the lack of management this dealership has... Will be posted in the Subaru Ambassador group as a dealership not to be associated with.

Will never purchase another vehicle here! Took in my brand new Outback for the very first oil change and they sent it back without tightening the oil plug. It left me stranded with a blown up engine on a car with less than 10000 miles on it. When I called the Reliable dealership there was no one that was of any help at all, all the receptionists would do was give the number to the service manager who would not answer his phone and his mail box was full so couldnt even leave a message! It has now been towed to Adventure Subaru in Fayetteville where they have been extremely helpful. Others told me not to buy a car here...I should have listened!

Honestly wasnt impressed how they handle their business. I called to ask them if they can make a key for my car as I had lost the key and then I didnt have another one to duplicate but the dealer misleadingly said 440 $ and I got my car there . Then hold onto something went up to 1200$ !! Just like that - yup ! So I called local dealers in KC who said they would not for 600$ but then I had to get the car towed so I decided to look for a locksmith and he did it for 175$. I called Subaru and they confirmed 1200$ which is crazy but would he had said that over the phone. Would have looked for a locksmt right away ..then he tried to tell me even if 600$ towing will make it so expensive that his 1200$ is better .I totally felt taken advantage of and I dont recommend this dealership at all for anything.

I would like to give Danny Vaughn more than 5 stars. He is a top notch service manager!!But...had my Legacy in for an oil change today. They worry about covering your seats but neglect your floor mats. Big ugly greasy shoe print on my gray floor mats. What happened to those papers they used to put down?Secondly, they give you a big print out of what all was checked on your vehicle. Mine included windshield washer fluid tank low on fluid. But it said it was filled. By accident I happened to be under the hood and checked the reservoir...empty.If they lied about that what else didnt get checked. Or is that print out just pat answers, the same for every vehicle going for service.
Bought a brand new 2020 Impreza today. Took less than three hours. Excellent service and I got 0% financing for the duration of my loan!!!!

As always we were greeted quickly and our Forester was taken care of in a timely manner. The staff is excellent and there to help you with anything. The lounge is stocked with bottled water, snacks, coffee and doggie cookies for the fur babies and a TV. Highly recommend Reliable Subaru.

Updating an earlier review:I bought a used vehicle from the used side of Reliable Subaru. Long story short, the vehicle started having some issues shortly after buying it. I am currently working with the used sales department on taking that vehicle back and getting into something else. I appreciate them working with me and am looking forward to getting into another vehicle.
Only go here if you have abudant funds and dont mind being lied to. I thought maybe it was just our experience, but while waiting for our car and listening to others, this is the standard, not the exception.
I had to wait for a car to be done here and I enjoyed it immensely. They have coffee, and very delicious snacks. 10/10 would come here again.
On the dealership part I just experienced extreme sexism. Telling me he would really help me until I brought my husband. And then at the service counter they had absolutely no idea. The only thing I could say with that is it sounded like maybe somebody had just quit that day. All around not very impressed. The only good thing is that one of the Hyundai managers called me and apologized.
Ace Sanga assisted us with buying our second Subaru at this same dealership. Our first experience was a little disappointing so we were reluctant to return. But we needed to trade our truck in for something for affordable and practical for our needs. My husband struggled with selling his truck, but Ace made the experience the best that it could be. My husband and I both walked away feeling and knowing we did the right thing with no buyers remorse. Ace really gave us a great deal and was very patient with us as it was near closing time. On top of the excellent salesmanship, he was amazing with our 8 year old and 3 year old. He’s a family man and that goes a long way for us and we felt comfortable with him. After our purchase, he has been responsive every single time I have reached out and kept to his word. Which I did not experience during our first purchase. Ace has changed my views on reliable Subaru in Springfield. He also resolved for us our first issue that happened a year ago, which to me is amazing. We are very pleased with our trade in and strongly believe that Ace is a valuable asset to this company! Thanks Ace!!

I received an offer from Hyundai for a $40 gift card for taking a test drive. I wasn’t pressured to buy and the salesman was very friendly. Within a week I had an email with the code for the $40 Visa card. The online redemption was super easy! It was worth the drive to Springfield.

Warning lights went on while traveling to Branson. Made appointment at Reliable Subaru. Friendly and efficient check-in guys said it would take an hour to check the lights. I told them I had obligations and had to be out in an hour if possible. They said, cant promise but will try. They had us out in 45 minutes, fixed, no charge because it was a recall part. Ive gone to Subaru service in several states, never had a bad experience. They take care of you.
Great service, when we went looking for new cars the first dealership wasnt very nice to us but when we went here they were very nice! They helped us out in finding me a new car and made the process as smooth as possible. That was a few months ago and I just had an issue with some early interior wear and they took care of it no problem! Great people will definitely buy another car from them in the future!

Our experience here was the downright best car lot experience we’ve ever had. After many other different car lots, we still weren’t 100% sure we knew what vehicle we needed next; and frankly we were getting tired of the process and being swarmed by what my husband likes to calls “vultures”. When we showed up at Reliable Subaru we were gently approached by Ace, who actually cared about helping us find the right car for our next stage of life. After looking at multiple cars, our very patient, never pushy car salesman helped us land what is now my best car yet. We got a deal that we were genuinely happy about, not feeling taken advantage at all. Ace really worked with us on price and options, so I couldn’t say more about the people or experience. STAY AWAY!!! I bought a used car here in april. Here it is, end of June and still unable to drive it. They said they inspected the vehicle. Apparently the missed $7000 dollars worth of repairs needed!. Their service department does not know what they are doing! Beware do not buy from them!
The tech had all of the paperwork ready when I arrived and the service was done in a timely and efficient manner. The waiting area was very comfortable and clean, there were plenty of nice snacks and beverages available and the staff was very friendly. Check out was quick and simple. We are very happy with our experience purchasing our new Crosstrek. T We have had one minor visit to the service dept to repair a rattle under the dash. It was fixed in about 30 minutes. We were really impressed with our Encore visit with Christina. She spent just over an hour reviewing the techie stuff in the dash...radio/entertainment system and all its apps. I was struggling with them . I have never had that kind of followup after buying a new car. It was well worth our 45 min. drive. Thank you Christina and Subaru!
The latest chapter from the UN-Reliable Service department:I met my 85 year old Mom at lunchtime yesterday and found that her tire light was on. Checking, I found the right front tire was at 22 lb while the others were at 32. Clearly a nail or something going on with the right front tire. We called Subaru who told us to bring it right over. (Original tires, car only 15,000 miles, bought the car from them.)After 25 minutes we were told that it was fixed! The tires were all just a pound low and so they aired them up and made the light go out. Had they actually checked for a nail? No. Well, the bays were all full and there wasnt anyone that could actually check the tire for a nail unless we wanted to wait for at least an hour, and anyway the tire light would come back on if it was, indeed, a nail. So my 85 year old mother drove away with a nail still in her tire. Thanks, guys.Next time well find someone who cares.
Our 2018 Legacy had a recall. The service department was excellent. They answered all our questions and they were spot-on the amount of time it would take to fix it. We have purchased several Subarus from this dealership (Bryan in the new car sales). We love our Subaru and will definitely come back to this dealership next time we need a Subaru. Thank you.
Things they tell you when you buy will be free as long as you own the car. Not so. After few years it all stops. First and last car bought at Reliable dealerships.
Worst business Ive ever encountered. If you get your subaru from anywhere else or have it serviced anywhere else then do! Buying the car was a nightmare and took over 24 hours just to get a contract. Now getting the recalls fixed on it has been completely impossible, putting my familys safety at risk. Ive called 5 times over the past year to get the recalls fixed and get a new runaround each time. Completely unprofessional and incapable.
1st time buying a new Subaru; Zach Davis greeted us with no pressure at all to buy; he was extremely knowledge on the each of the models we looked at. I mean EXTREMELY knowledgeable. Polite and patient; it almost made the entire process feel NOT like the average car buying experience. Thank you Zach - it was awesome working with you.
I admit I have never been a fan of dealership service centers. I had to take my Subaru Outback in to Reliable Subaru however for warranty work on my transmission. The transmission was having problems that Subaru(the company) had put an extended warranty on. Reliable Subaru service department treated me very well. Ryan was my service rep and always called when he said he would and kept me up to date on my car. They honored the warranty without giving me grief about it. Ryan arranged to have me a loaner vehicle that they let me drive for a week free of charge. This whole thing could have cost me thousands of dollars but ended up costing nothing. Of course they found other things on the car that needed work but gave me the option of whether or not I wanted to. I had a very good experience and as far as dealership service places go I would recommend Reliable Subaru and Subaru vehicles in general. Thank you to Subaru, to Ryan and the rest of the guys involved for what you did!
Austin was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I brought my car in for a couple recalls and a diagnosis for a sound I have noticed in the front of the car. He got me a rental until everything was resolved and fixed. It was quick and easy. Will be going back!

I have taken my Outback to Reliable for my service needs since I purchased it. I did purchase this from Ryan off of the pre-owned lot at Reliable.My entire experience from the purchase to the most recent maintenance visit has been very reassuring and comfortable. My most recent visit was for a window switch issue for my passenger window.While this wasnt a large problem, everyone to whom I spoke was very helpful. Never was I treated as an inconvenience. In fact, the technician working on my Outback called me to verify he had understood my problem correctly.When I picked up my vehicle, it was ready as promised. The paperwork was in order. The clerk helping me was very helpful.It is my experience that all persons involved with my Outback have been pleasant, helpful and professional. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.
Fast, courteous, Love the new waiting room. The waiting room was clean and quiet. I gave 4 stars for the above mentioned things. I would give 5 but I and everyone else in America wants to see there vehicle being worked on. There is a trust issue that many mechanics have abused. We paid cash for our Subaru and want to be assured the work is actually being done!

Service is always great. If I have to wait for my vehicle to be serviced, the waiting room is comfortable and complimentary drinks and snacks are a nice extra. Most times leave my car for service and have the complimentary shuttle take me to work. This convenience alone is a big plus!!

I purchased a 2014 Subaru Crosstek in March 2019. In April I had to have the check engine light diagnosed. I paid $30 and the place I went to gave me the codes. They couldn’t tell me exactly what needed to be done and told me to take it to the dealership. I finally get a chance to bring it into the dealership in August (mind you it takes minimum half of your day to do this. I am a full time student, single mother and employed full time). I am now advised by the dealership that the car needs over $2k worth of work. I take it back to the manager and provide my proof that this problem arose not even a month after I purchased it and they told me there was nothing they could do. I also know the car did not go through service before I purchased it. I am very disappointed. I recommend taking your business elsewhere.
I could not say more to the professionalism and the service that I received from Reliable Subaru. I was traveling for a business trip in which my Subaru Impreza broke down. I was in an area with terrible service, scrambling to make things work. Talking with Reliable Subaru (specifically their representative Ryan) made everything fall into place. They went, in every sense of the phrase, above and beyond my wildest expectations. They advised me on what towing companies to use, what rental car agencies would be accessible from where they were and took care of everything from the service end while I continued on my trip. I have either been in customer service or in sales for the last decade so I know how important it can be. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Ryan made me a lifelong customer of Subaru. His friendliness, understanding of the needs of a stranger and willingness to do what it took to set my mind at ease are the things that I will tell every person about The Great Business Trip Debacle of 2017. If Reliable Subaru is not aware of the incalculable benefit that they have because of their employee, I hope this post helps. Continue to trust Reliable Subaru with your business and if you see him, buy Ryan a beer for me.
Their costumer service is excellent. I enjoyed my car salesman Nathan(Nate) but they will work hard to sale you a service package.
Just bought a brand new outback from reliable Subaru the radio dont work they tell me they want to put an aftermarket radio back in it less than 20 miles radio didnt work, definitely would not buy from reliable in Springfield Missouri waste of time and money. When I first looked at this car and took it for a test drive the radio locked up Ted the salesman told me service hasnt set it up which was a straight-up lie. It had nothing to do with setting it up. Then Mike and Ted told me there was no problem service can set it up. So I bought the car just to find out Ive been lied to. Its all about making the sale they dont care about the customer.$38,000 mistake. Three months go by no word from reliable. they call and tell me they have a radio to put in. The refurbished radio they put in does not work go figure. This Robert Beverly says to get with him tried five six times no word. Besides that the phone number he gave me dont even work go figure that out
When I check in for a service appointment and I am met by Danny Vaughn I know that my forrester will get serviced quickly and efficiently and if there are any problems I will be notified immediately. I have all of my service work performed by Reliable Subaru for i know that it will be done correctly.
I have always had a great experience from both sales and service at reliable. You cant go wrong.
Very knowledgeable and helpful salesman. We werent sure what we wanted and sure put them through their paces test driving multiple vehicles over and over...was very happy with Subaru and their willingness to take their time and answer any questions we had. After literally two days of questions and test drives found exactly what we were looking for and couldnt be more happy with our new 2018 Crosstrek! Thanks for the great help knowledgeable and friendly staff!

Went in for recall parts replace. They got me in fast, changed my oil, rotated my tires & I was out the door fast. The only thing I dont like about there new set up is, you give them the keys to your car & your sent to a room to sit & wait! Felt like I was waiting on my first born son!
Christina was awesome and very patient walking me through all the new features on my new 2020 Ascent. Love the car.
