Worst experience Ive ever had buying a car. Was told it was certified pre-owned by the salesman (John) turns out is is not and the numerous things that have gone wrong in the past year are not covered. Will be getting a lawyer or making sure my experience gets acknowledged by the public.

Bought a 2020 Outback in October of 2020 and the car is great along with my initial purchase experience. BUT my paperwork for registration was lost in the mail. Dealer sent me a dealer plate for until they got it sorted out but now it’s been over 6 months and I have repeatedly called trying to get my paperwork and just get told that they will call me back the next day and they never do. Now I have a car that I can’t prove that I own and I am passed the window of time allowed by my county to register a car.
I had the best experience buying a car from here. John was so helpful and kept me up to date on what was available on the lot, alerting me to new cars that I might have interest in. When I came into test drive the cars, Claud also assisted me, answering all my questions and taking me through the purchasing process. Bill Hall, who walked me through financing, was also wonderful! I was provided excellent customer service; including use of my salesmans personal vehicle as a loaner while the shop had my vehicle and the shop took care of my issue even though it did not reach the deductible for my Certified Pre-Owned warranty. They also seemed happy to get right to work on my issue even though I had not made an appointment. I highly recommend this shop.

Great service from Josh and Curtis. They stayed really late one night getting my purchase completed. Follow up after has been fantastic as well. Had to have a few items taken care of after purchase and Josh really stepped up to get them scheduled and taken care of, even though he was out on vacation. Curtis was very attentive the day I picked up my car to ensure our wait time was not excessive and offered to provide any support we needed while Josh was out. Great team work. Drew also helped us out with a service drop off and even washed my car again so it was nice and shiny when I picked it up. Great service for a great team!
So have been having vehicle since before Napelton purchased them. So not new to this realm but I have to admit there custmer caring or service whatever you wish to call it sure has changed. Nothing to do with the advisor who assisted me he did great. But seems as the upper management whome er they are have sure changed the way they operate. So I get my oil change say they do a 12 point inspection used to provide a piece of documentation that said what may need attention no longer. Used to to tell you things like tire condition, pressure, brake wear, wiper blades no longer. Used to put sticker in windshield stating when next service due, I know how to keep track of it but sure is handy. Used to take pride when they returned car to you all washed and shiny and walk you to it or park it inside well that personal care is now gone. Seems to have turned into a run of the mill quick oil change location..
I accompanied my elderly parents here for a new car a few weeks ago. They were reluctant to give up the Mirage they had driven more than 300k miles, but it was time. Mr. Ron Jones was nothing short of wonderful in assisting them in finding another Mitsubishi Mirage that they now love. He made both the choosing and paperwork process very simple for them. Mr. Bill Hall took care of the financing process and got them an even better interest rate than their bank had offered. He was very patient in waiting for an insurance issue to be resolved. During the wait time for that, we all had a great visit and he made us feel at ease. My parents drove away smiling in their brand new car. Fantastic service from both gentlemen!

I bought a 2018 Toyota C-HR on Saturday 9/19/2020 at Napleton Autowerks. Salesman Jake Riess was the most gracious, polite, professional, fun, informative, and helpful car salesman I have ever dealt with. We were torn between this car and one across town so Jake went in and spoke with a manager who came out and offered for us to drive this car to the other car lot and set them side by side. I don’t remember the supervisors name (sorry about that) but he was so helpful and kind as well!! We took their advice and drove it over there and I made my decision to buy this one. We then was taken to the financial director Bill Hall who was also just as helpful and gracious as the other two. They worked hard and got me the car I had been searching for 3 years for! Well 600 dollars later, they could not fix my problem, then refer me to a shop (not vw related) to see if maybe they can fix it! I will not do business again! Very disappointing that they can fix their own cars. Im a local used auto dealer, and they didnt even work with me on price! Ive done business with them before and was disappointed! Shame on me for trying again i guess.

Could have been 5 stars...Bought a vehicle from Napleton - had it shipped from Missouri to NY. I signed all the paperwork - sent it back - got the car... the car did not come with the paperwork needed to register the vehicle in NY. I contacted my salesman (yesterday morning) - he took too long to have someone contact me back so my husband called a manager - manager said they would overnight the paperwork to me so I could make an appointment at DMV to get my car legally registered in NY before my temporary registration was up. They didn’t send the paperwork out until the next day (today) - they were supposed to overnight it so I had it by today and FEDEX is showing paperwork won’t be delivered until Monday... now I do not have a legal car to drive until sometime next week because my temporary registration is up tomorrow... I’m not at all happy about this. This is an inconvenience I don’t need and was not necessary.The process was easy - it took time - which I understand because of covid stuff... but I still paid for a vehicle I can’t even drive until I can get the paperwork I need. The needed paperwork should have been sent back with the copies of all the paperwork I signed to buy said vehicle.The vehicle was as expected from the photos minus a couple small imperfections I didn’t notice in the photos.On a positive note whoever they have that fixes torn vinyl - 5 stars to that guy! He does great work!I amended my review to 3 stars because they did send me a temp registration so I could drive my car until our wonderful DMV can see me. I was still 2 days without a legal vehicle to drive so I left it at 3 stars.

I take my 2016 Outlander sport there to be serviced. They have very friendly service personnel. I always feel very welcomed and as though I am an important client. They inform me if things need to be done while I am there so I dont have to return another time. I appreciate this because I do not live in Springfield and it is often not easy to get in to Springfield just anytime. When I call for an appointment it is easy and quick to get in. I dont have to wait weeks for an appointment. They also have good hours for working persons. I will continue to go to Napleton Volkswagen Springfield.

I only gave Napleton Auto Sales one star because there is not an option to give less than one star.They come bounding out the door like a pack of hounds to make a sale, but dont be deceived, they are just sales people, nothing more. They have no interest in any problem you might encounter with your purchase.

I traded for a Caddy at this dealership last month and the experience was very good. Jacob was a great Sales guy, easy process, friendly staff. I didnt get to the DMV by the time the inspection was up so I swung by the service at the dealership an talked with Andrew, this guy is a great person to deal with, he got my car in for an inspection, hooked me up with a quick wash and....well i did get to droll over some Porsches while i waited but not too long. I am so happy with the customer service that i asked him about future service and if they would be willing to take care of me even though it was not one of their brands and he said they would be more then happy to. Had service on 2018 Atlas because there was a screeching noise coming from the front end and the vehicle is still under warranty. Turns out a rock had gotten into the brakes (why would this be possible?), and it was not covered under warranty. $160 to remove the wheel, take out a small rock, and put the wheel back on. $160! Reminds me why I avoid taking my vehicles to the dealership for service.

We originally wanted to simply test drive a vehicle. We were on the fence about what we wanted and were just planning on looking. I contacted JR via email and let him know what car we were interested in. He had the car pulled up front and ready for us to drive when we got there. JR was so knowledgeable and answered all of our (many) questions. We ended up finding another car and even though it was getting late he grabbed the keys and let us take it for a spin. We never felt pressured or rushed and he was such a pleasure to deal with that we ended up buying right then and there. If you are like me and dread car shopping because of the typical high-pressure salesman then I would suggest you contact JR. The whole process was so easy and quick that I still cant believe I have a brand new car sitting in my driveway! Thank you so much JR!!
Buyers beware! If you don’t know mechanics then they will swindle you! They will tell you one thing and do another! Treat you like and idiot and they will not do like other dealerships and fill your vehicle up! My suggestion is go somewhere else!!

I bought a used 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S from these guys and I live in Denver. Michael took amazing care of me first starting with getting all of my concerns about the car taken care of then picking me up at the airport to finalizing my deal within 24 HOURS! I am serious when I say this, I got a great deal on an awesome car and will always look there first before looking anywhere else in the future. I would rather fly out to Missouri and get what I want than hunt through Denver anytime.

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible buying experience! Sat down to sign papers on a car. Happen to turn around to see they didn’t have the car pulled up that I wanted. I had already signed half of the financial paperwork, and they had pulled a car I’ve never looked at. It may have been an honest mistake, but a company that big honors a deal their salesperson makes. I made a deal on a car and came to pick it up, not on some other car I had NEVER looked at! Won’t look at a car on their lot again. Not to mention the car is advertised wrong on Facebook as well. They had it listed for 34,000, and their Facebook ad price is 23,000.
From the first phone call till the minute Ron Jones handed me the keys to my new VW Beetle, I felt like I was his only customer. I told him what I wanted. The 3 days to diagnose turned out to be 5 days. But it was covered under warranty. But now we have to sit here and wait for them to get the fix done we shouldnt take that long but its already taken longer than it should.
Service manager left and service went to the dumpster. Have to drive to Fayetteville, k.c., or Wichita just for an oil change because I do.t trust them any longer.1 year later and Im not allowed to make an appointment for inspections or service. I wont ever even buy another V.W. because of the terrible service that has been ongoing under this management for the past five years.

Buying experience was acceptable (nothing special, they dont exactly go up to bat for you, but no major complaints), and my service experience was terrible.2017 GTI - small scratch in paint in new car, and rattle in speaker. Brought it in to have issues resolved. They give me a loaner car and I pick it up the next day. They say the speaker issue is fixed and the existing paint defects are fixed. I start the car up and take a listen and find that there is no difference. The speaker issue is the same, despite them saying specifically that they put some kind of rubber or foam strips to dampen the rattle. I drive the car right back in to the service garage and notify them that the issue is not fixed. They respond by saying we were supposed to have a speaker ordered or something along those lines, despite them saying that the issue was fixed and making no mention of this until I came back. While Im waiting for the service guy to figure out whats going on, I notice a new scratch in the paint, on the lower part of the front bumper its much worse than the small paint scratches that the car came with, and they werent there before my visit. Its not that big of a deal, as long as it gets fixed (quickly is a plus). Unfortunately the touch up guy is only available on Tuesdays, so I will have to wait. They state 2-3 days for the speaker to come in and theyll call me when they have it. So I wait a week and a half, and hear nothing. I give them a call and of course theyve had it for a week already. I schedule my next repair for the following Monday, and specifically mention the paint damage as well. When I come in, I have to remind them of the paint repair. As they previously mentioned, the touch up guy is only available on Tuesdays, but they say they can do it anyway. When I pick the car up later that day, the speaker is finally fixed - thank god - but the paint is not. They did something to it, which was applying paint (or some kind of rubbery resin) to the scratches. This stuff is completely not smooth and the color is totally off. It looks like someone took jelly and tried to fill in the scratches. The service guy already knew this and brought it up before I did, but if they were going to do such a horrible job I would prefer they just waited. So I have to schedule yet another service appointment. Maybe this time Ill be done. I definitely wouldnt recommend getting any service work done here based on my experiences, and the buying experience didnt make up for it.
The buying process was fine, but it took them 3 months to get me my title. Then the car started having problems, after taking it in to their service department at least 5 times and still having issues I had to take it to another shop to actually get my car fixed correctly.

If you are coming here for car service, DONT! The biggest waste of time and money. FOUR times we had to bring our car in for the exact same issue all because they were too lazy to dig deeper to see what was actually going on until our fourth visit. Instead they kept taking our money to tell us nothings wrong. I have lived in 3 different cities and I have NEVER had a problem with Volkswagen until this location. Awful, awful, awful.

Napleton VW are liars and thieves. Do not do business with these people! I took my vehicle in for a transmission service. They refused to do the service and tried up-selling me over a $1000 in a part that didn’t seem right on inspection and told me I couldn’t leave with my vehicle. I refused and said I’ll be taking the vehicle today so wrap it up. Andrew Horton threw a little fit and went to get my vehicle. When I got in it there were check engine lights on, trouble codes, and the car was put into limp mode. (Wouldn’t shift out of a designated gear only travel 15-20mph) I asked them to clear the codes and Andrew refused saying “not my problem”. I drove my car (in limp mode) to my mechanic, he cleared the code and the car drives flawless now. Took over a month to receive my title, did an inspection in less than 5 minutes when it shouldve been done when I bought it, and offered to wash it but didnt. Hid a ding on the trunk lid from me and I didnt see it until they had already pulled a fast one on me. Ive heard several stories like mine from other people, like telling a guy the truck he bought had a clean and clear title, and a month and a half later when it showed up it wansnt either of those things. I would definitely avoid and I wish I had gotten the car I love somewhere else.

The service people here are very nice and helpful, but Im not sure I trust the work. My cars problem was mis-diagnosed and could have been costly ($8000) had I not requested an inspection of the bad part for my own peace of mind. The mileage was only 56,000 so the failure seemed premature. When they looked at it, I was told (after two weeks) that it was in perfect condition and didnt need replacing after all, so they had to re-install it. I was then told that I needed a new transmission instead, even more expensive ($12,000) but I was reluctant at that point and declined the work. So far a second and third opinion has found nothing wrong with the car, but I was advised to return if anything became more noticeable.Napleton does not instill confidence, so I probably will not return. Caveat emptor.
I came in for a test drive but left with a great Jetta SportWagen. I am very satisfied. Ron was very honest with me and gave me a great deal. I would go back to Napelton again.

BUYER BEWARE: Napleton Auto Werks Springfield doesnt care about or respect its customers. They were eager and friendly three months ago when they sold me my car, yet they have conveniently forgotten to uphold their end of our deal with two unresolved issues. Calls go unanswered. Voicemails go unanswered. When they do reach back out, they blame the lack of progress on certain people being out of the office, or on miscommunication. The real miscommunication is that this dealership claims to value their customers. They fail to uphold their end of a bargain and fail to treat buyers like they are adults. If I could do it all over again I would not buy from Napleton Auto Werks Springfield.

Beware they charge outrageous prices for simple repairs...i went in to get a glow plug changed (a lot like a spark plug) and they quoted 825 dollars for that and replacing a harness for the glow plugs which i dont even need on my car and i know i dont..also they tried to get me to pay 890 dollars for 2 transmission mounts which they said i needed (again i dont need these either) and last they quoted 420 bucks for replacing back brake pads and rotors and thats about an hour job for me at home..stay away from this place!!! if the above isnt enough when i called them to tell them i dont want any of that done they charged me a 20% restocking fee on parts which came up to 200 dollars so parts were gonna cost me 1000 bucks(way way more than i can find all these parts online for)..seems like u cant get outta this dealership without getting screwed over. Youve been warned!
