Took my bike in this morning for some assistance with my derailleur and shifter. They were very helpful and able to work me in right away. Price was reasonable and the staff were all friendly.

This is the BEST bike shop in town! I’m having car troubles and need reliable transportation to work. The employees of Sunshine Bike Shop really helped me out by fixing my broke down bike in a more than reasonable amount of time and it looks and runs great now. First staff accepted to repair my car. While I am writing down my info the second staff come, check and said I need to buy new part. I accepted. Later third staff come and after check it he said he wont fix it for a reason (safety). I brought my bike to another shop and they make it perfect. Thanks!

First time utilizing this business. Thus far my phone conversations prior to my appointment have been extremely helpful and satisfying. Took my Schwinn beach cruiser in for spring tune up and care. Service tech was very helpful and friendly, and the initial estimate is quite reasonable. Will add another review once I pick it back up.

I went there to get a new bike saddle as I am getting back into casual biking. The staff was extremely helpful and installed the new saddle. They even made sure the air in my tires was correct and adjusted the saddle and handle bars for height. They will be my go to place for future biking needs

Definitely glad I stopped by this place friendly staff I was originally going to buy a set cushion but got a brand new bike saddle instead, I’m definitely happy with it I’m sure I’ll be more happier with it once my sit bones stop hurting so I can feel the comfort more lol I definitely recommend this place to anyone, and I also bought a water bottle rack for the bike and the camel bak water bottle I definitely love the camel bak as well

This is a great bike shop. I am pedaling across usa and was having issues with my bike. What was suppose to me a 20 minute job turned out to me two hours more because of other issues. They fixed everything like new . Thanks for the great service!

Sunshine does a amazing job. Everytime I am greeted with a smile. Everytime I need something they know right away what I am talking about. They dont try to screw you. They are honest and are always giving giving tips and tricks to me everytime I am there. I would recommend them to anyone. They are the best shop in town no doubt.

I give a 3 star review only because of the staffs lack of respect/regard for their colleagues and customers by not wearing a mask in the store. It is impossible to maintain the 6 foot distance guideline when staff is demonstrating something on a bike to another customer. I brought my bike in about 2 weeks ago for a tune up and I was the only person in the store with a mask. When picking up my bike today, there was one other customer with a mask and all other customers and staff did not have wear a mask. The turn around time for my repair and the price was very fair, otherwise Id give you a 5 star rating. I understand that right now Springfield does not have a mandate for face coverings; however the evidence supports that if everyone wore a mask, the virus spread would decline. Please consider asking your staff to mask up.

I have nothing but great things to say about Sunshine Bike Shop! The staff at Sunshine will bend over backwards to make sure you are taken care of. All the employees are patient and helpful. If you are looking for a shop to take care of all your cycling needs, this is the one.

New time cyclist here, and the guys got me all set up. They spent hours with me making sure the bike was fit for me, hooked it up to a trainer so I could practice clipping in and out, made modifications for my training, and even occupied my kiddo. They provide free maintenance if you purchase the bike there. I highly recommend them!

Josh, David and the rest of the staff were so helpful to me. They helped me pick out the perfect bike. And continued the great service even after l purchased my bike. They even watched my Service dog Abel while l went test riding a few bikes. Josh even helped me during the pancake ride by arranging to get me to my cycle partner. I am an avid biker not not a professional bike repair person. This is the only bike shop Ive been to where more problems were solved than created. Heck, the first two times I came in they didnt even charge me because it was a simple cable adjustment. Besides the atmosphere is great, people are friendly, and they are just plain good.

I bought a mountain bike 20 years ago (Giant) and after steady to heavy use I went back and bought a new one a week or so ago and the staff could NOT have been any nicer more informed on their product and willingness to set up how ever many bikes I wanted to test ride, which in my case was 6. I cant say it enough, if you buy a bike anywhere but Sunshine cycle you are missing out on old time customer service the kind where they focus on you and your needs until your satisfied . I came in to get my bike fixed because a car had run into the back wheel. These guys got it in immediately, found the part I needed and called me with updates about the progress. I walked out three hours later with my bike beautifully tuned up and ready to ride. Highly recommend.

Best Bike Shop in Springfield!! I have purchased 3 bicycles from Sunshine and each experience has been outstanding. On my initial visit, David was extremely honest and sold me the correct bike for me, instead of the more expensive model that I wanted. That level of integrity meant so much to me and made sure that I would return.Josh sold me my next two bikes and he was great. He even took several hours with me to make sure that my road bike was perfectly fitted. This level of commitment is extremely rare, but I have been impressed by the staff over and over again.I do a lot of shopping for accessories and Sunshine has always done their best to closely match competitors pricing and make sure I had the equipment as soon as possible.There is no better bike shop anywhere!! We have now bought 2 bikes from here and Ive had fantastic customer service both times! They get the bikes down and make sure it feels right. They even let you take it for a spin around theyre parking lot which I really appreciate! I wouldnt go anywhere else. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Outstanding Service, very courteous

When entering the shop, I will knew I would spend more than I would like on a product, but that is typical with speciality stores; however, I did not expect to be ignored for 10 minutes. I understand the increased demand for outdoor gear with COVID-19, but ignoring people still isnt acceptable. I was eventually waited on and the employee was nice and efficient. When I went to leave, the employee had to walk me to the door because it was locked ( ladies and gentlemen--it was not locked when I entered the store.) Therefore, I can only assume that I was suppose to wait outside until a employee granted me access to the store, and hence, my being ignored. IF that was the store policy, I would have GLADLY waited outside to receive se friendly rvice. HOWEVER, that was not made apparent by the sign on the door (generic statement about being patient, limiting people in stor5e and social distancing), and their websitesn didnt mention their guidelines, and when I called about a an item they did not mention the guidelines to me.

Always a good experience here whether Im buying a $3 patch kit or a new bike

I always come here even though its a few miles out of my way. They always offer to fix things before they try to sell a new one, even when I come in and ask to have something replaced.Never had any issues with the repairs and always open to answering any questions I have.Just all around good and Ive never had any problem with them since I bought my first bike from them three years ago.

The best place for hybrid bikes & trikes

As a newbie mountain biker, I found the customer focus at Sunshine to be solid and refreshing. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I told them I had my first flat but I had no tube or tools, and I wanted to watch them change the flat so I could know how. They said bring the bike on in so I did, and Josh took my bike back immediately and started showing me how to change the tube, and more. Josh was great, efficient, kind, and focused and very helpful. As he worked, he told me not only about changing a tire, but also about tubeless tires, local trails, recommended gear, and more. Labor for fixing the flat was $8, and I also bought 3 tubes, 2 tube patch kits, a tire rim tool, and a valve adapter. Came back in 5 min later and bought my wife a new saddle. Very happy I found the place, like an oasis in the desert. I was back out riding that afternoon.

Nice selection of bikes! I came in for some special tires and inner tubes- and they had them! They were very friendly and helpful and offered to put them in but Im feeling adventurous.

Ive bought 3 Bikes from them as well as a multitude of accessories. This is, hands-down, the best bike shop Ive ever worked with. The staff are all highly knowledgeable and friendly, their selection is great, and whatever they dont have in store they will be happy to order for you.

The guys in the shop are very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. I have bought 4 bikes from Sunshine and will continue to do so in the future. I like to ride, but not very mechanically inclined so they have been extremely helpful in that regard.Some might say they are high, but I believe everything has a price. You could go to the internet and get a bike cheaper, but who will put it together? What about accessories? What about tried and true methods? I was in the market for an adult trike. I went to one Springfield bike shop and they let me sit on their trike. Another bike shop kind of laughed and said they dont carry them because there is no market for them.My husband suggested we try.Sunshine Bike Shop. When I talked to the first person on the floor, she said she didnt know much about the trikes but she would get someone who did. In a flash one of the guys came over and asked me about my planned use of the trike. I told him I was fat and old. I was looking for a bike to ride for exercise. He apologized that they didnt have one on the floor but there was one in the back that they would be building this week. Two days later he called to let me know the trike was together and to come in and check it out. When we went in, he went to the back and brought the bike out. He said that he would take it outside and I could take it for a test drive. He was very patient with me and my questions. I rode around the parking lot and then down a side road. He watched me and told me he needed to raise the seat.Needless to say GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are picking it up the next time we go to Springfield.

Best bike shop in Springfield, MO in my opinion. Came here to invest in my first road bike (entry level) left with a Giant Defy 5. Couldnt be happier with the service. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Will be buying most other cycling related products from here. You also cant beat the lifetime maintenance for free if you buy a bike from them.

I went into this bike shop looking for a new rear axle. I knew what i wanted and didnt waste any time looking around, I walked up to the first glass case I saw. It was straight ahead when you enter the store. I was the only customer. I counted 5 employees. 4 were male, 1 was female. I stood at this case for 10 minutes, 10 real full minutes, and not the slightest acknowledgement of my existance from any employee. I biked to this store specifically for the one part and i was snubbed so hard that I had to leave without so much as a hi how are ya. I will NEVER set foot in this shop again.

From the day I bought my bike Josh Even and the entire crew at Sunshine bike have been amazing.

I went into Sunshine Bike Shop with two Jeep mountain bikes purchased from Walmart that had horrible brake issues. There was going to be a four day wait on repairs as they were booked up. The guy behind the counter was awesome enough to look over and adjust the brakes on both bikes, cleaned the rotors, adjusted cables and centered the pads. He told me to try them out for a bit and if there was anything still wrong, hed get me on the schedule. He charged me nothing, and the whole time gave me the impression he genuinely wanted me to enjoy my cycling experience, regardless of whether or not he made a sale. The adjustments he made fixed our issues, and the fellow couldnt have been more helpful, so they are now my go-to bike shop. Thanks for being awesome!

Good place to buy a bike. Little overpriced, but so are most bike shops. The staff can be hit and miss. Went in for a repair and the guy put the wrong size crank on my bike. Took it back and a different employee fixed it right. Good selection of bikes. I ride a Giant and my fiancée rides a Bianchi. Both have been treating us well.

A lifesaver. I was just north of Springfield, bicycling the Transamerica, when my front fork broke. OK, breaking a front fork is a story all by itself -- but I wont post it here on Yelp. What I will say is that Eric and the team at Sunshine Bike Shop (SBS) saved me. They called around to find a new fork (I needed 295-300mm -- which is not typical). They found a shop in town with the fork, we got it and SBS team installed it. While working the fork, they also gave my Merlin road bike a quick overhaul - truing a wheel, adjusting a front detailer slightly, and more. In a half a day I had a working bike back. They bike was in better shape than before the fork broke.Normally, this would end a great review. But when I checked out, Eric mentioned that repairs for tourists have no-fee labor. I had never heard of that, and actually felt a bit bad that they did all the work for no charge (other than parts). So, I browsed the store and bought some accessories for the next 1,400 miles to Virginia.I wish Eric and SBS would relocate to my home town, Charlottesville, VA. A bike shop like SBS would be a joy, and a huge commercial success once word got around. SBSs service and great attitude would put other bike shops out of business.This review was unsolicited. Its also the strongest review Ive ever given a bike shop (and Im nearly 3,000 miles across the USA on this ride alone). Thanks Eric and SBS team!
