This place is the only bike shop in town that feels like a trustworthy local bike shop. The bigger ones feel like corporate robots. This one feels like it is one of us (bicyclists) and here to support us. Two of my families three bikes have went into this shop and come out better. Dont hesitate, just go there. Youll see...

Im sure they are probably a decent shop...But i didnt get the chance to find out.I called to ask a question about my bike, that is having issues, and possibly see what they have available used, so that I could replace it...But while i was in mid sentence, he cut me off, telling me that they dont work on my type of mountain bike... thats fine, but being rude lost you a paying customer before I could even finish my sentence. 😕

You know what I love about this shop, above all else they love riding bikes, and it shows! Have been to several bike shops looking for a bike that wasnt $3000. They had a Kona that fit the bill.Lifetime warranty on frame, lifetime tune ups and 2 year parts warranty.

The only place to go for anything bicycle related. They are the absolute best hands down. Great selection of different styles of bikes, intelligent, professional staff, and locally owned & operated. You just cant beat it! They repair bikes too so dig that old one out of the garage and have them fix it up for you! If you love bicycles then this is where you need to go!

I came to the store a broken man, bike that is. Needed numerous parts, i had broke a derailleur, needed some parts to roll again. My bike was a normal commuter not worthy to be carried in their store but I was treated like an important customer. They told me they would help me out, maybe order a part or two and i was expecting a wait of at least a week. Gave me an estimate and i was willing just to pay it and get rolling again. Well, I left, and the repairman called me an hour and a half later and said my bike was fixed! wow I could not believe it. Found the needed things for my bike at their shop and didnt have to order those new parts. Saved me time and money. I was so impressed. Such good people and a laid back atmosphere and people that actually care about cyclists. I will definitely go there when i upgrade soon and buy from Queen City exclusively. You guys are great. thanks.

Springfield has several good bike shops. Ive been to all of them and for me Queen City Cycles is the best. Always impressed with their friendly, helpful and knowledgeable employees. From a repair perspective Ive been happiest with the work their mechanics do. They have really gone above and beyond for me on multiple occasions. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Great help, quick and easy experience. Took my mom in to look at some choices of bikes for her and my dad. Jeff (?) was very helpful and reassuring of their choice for their intended use. After the purchased he helped get them loaded and even let us use a shop ubar to be able to haul my moms bike which was incredibly helpful! Oh, and they let my dog come in with me which is always nice. ;)

Bought a Kona for close to $800. Queen City claims free adjustments for the life of the bike. That’s great except I changed the handlebars after they quoted me over $150 to put ram horns on. They wouldn’t honor the adjustment agreement after the handlebar change. I even offered to revert it back to the stock handlebars and still a hard no. Saying that after altering the bike I could no longer get adjustments there for free.Kona is an excellent brand but Queen City Cycles is uninviting, elitist, and overpriced. Buy your bike online and avoid middle men who are out to make a buck at your expense.

I wanted to buy a Bianchi bike but I live in a town in Arkansas which no longer has a bike shop so I contacted Queen City cycles by e-mail. I had contacted several other online bike sellers without getting any information on the bike. Not one response from any of them except Queen City Cycles. Jeff at Queen City responded and that convinced me that they were interested in serving cyclists. Although I had to drive 2 hours just to get there I was impressed with their eagerness to serve. My initial impression was spot on. I went up to visit Jeff at Queen City on a Thursday and the following Friday I was on my new Bianchi. It was special ordered, shipped, had some parts swapped out and set up for me within 8 days counting the weekend. I will be doing business with them again for sure. Theyre willing to earn your business, give them a try. You wont be disappointed.

Great bunch of down-to-earth folks that totally love cycling. They built a custom set of race wheels for me that are 100% true and trouble free even through a tough season of cycle-cross racing. They built up my Campagnolo equipped road bike and did a great job.

Apparently its not cool to leave a bad review for queen City cycles. But Im awesome so its cool.The only bicycle shop in springfield I have no good things to say about, until they have a going out of business sale.

I have purchased two bicycles at Queen City Cycles at different times. Staff is usually friendly and helpful - occasionally they have been a touch curt and I do wish I had not allowed myself to be talked out of drop handlebars. They did spend time working with me even though I was not looking to spend a lot of money - so kudos for that.

I know literally nothing about bikes and got a flat tire while at school. I wheeled it into their shop and they set me up with a new tire for $12 ($6 for the tire, $6 for labor I believe) and got it done in under 10 minutes. They were super kind and helpful. Even fixed my breaks and my seat for no charge! Will be going back if I ever have bike issues again.

Honestly the best customer service Ive ever received in Springfield. Matt was extremely informative and very helpful. I couldnt imagine going to another bicycle shop.

Ive purchased a number of bikes from these guys and always use them to service them. These guys are top shelf bike mechanics that wont try to oversell you. I highly recommend them.

These guys are great. I live downtown and am an avid road cyclist, and have had quite a few small little services and repairs done on my Specialized Allez there. Never got the slightest negativity about bringing in a bike that their local competition carries, everyone is super polite and friendly, and the service is always quick. I will continue to support this business as long as Im in the area.

I came in because a guy hit me with his car and asked them to look over my bike and fix anything that was broken. They said it should be done by Friday (was Tuesday). They got it done that day.The quick turnaround was the only pleasant experience. I noticed when I shift into certain gears the chain skips because the teeth that hook into the chain were still bent, my back tire was still wobbley and bent, among other things.Quick turnaround, but Id rather wait the full few days to have the job done right. Wont be coming back.

If you want your bike to ride better than ever, bring it here. Best bike repair/maintenance in town. BEST BIKE SHOP PERIOD.

I really do not feel comfortable giving this shop my money anymore. I will still buy kona bikes, but I will drive to Louis and Clarke outfitters in Fayetteville where they always have time to answer a few of my questions and the they dont make me feel like I have been scammed for bike upgrades. #DishonestBikeShop

There are lots of bike shops in Springfield, but this is my LBS all the way. They know their stuff, their prices are right, and they contribute in a real way to the downtown community.

If I could have left 0 stars I would. I called to see if they could install breaks on my daughters bike and was told if it wasn’t a “Quality” bike (not a Walmart Bike) then they can’t work on it. Ridiculous! I will order the parts and install it myself.....
