We are visiting from out of town for a wedding and my niece, the bride, told me that this was a good place to buy the wine for her special day. Wow! Wow! Wow! I have never had better customer service!!!JEN was absolutely the best help!!! I knew a little of what I wanted and she steered me in that direction. She understood exactly what I was looking for!Then she took my husband to the back and introduced him to Kent who let him sample some bourbon. We decided on a bottle...amazing knowledge from all aspects of the store. I spent a lot of money but I was comfortable because of all of the help!We might go back for lunch tomorrow!

This is a MUST stop at place in the Springfield-Branson area!! A wonderful specialty wine and cheese shop usually found in Vegas, Chicago or NYC.. You cannot believe the selections of boutique food, wine and liquor! A great place to plan a relaxed picnic with that special someone! You have to eat at the hot deli with great sandwichs and salads!! Staff is super knowledgeable, nice and helpful. You have to seek out this MAIN location when you are in the area!!!

Me and my girlfriend went here to purchase some desert wine. Almost all their wine was overpriced, when we compared the prices to other wine shops and online. The biggest issue however is that me and my girlfriend are in our 20s and we felt that the staff was a little ageist. The reason why we feel this way is due to the fact that the staff were all to eager to help older customers but when it was very clear we needed help finding things, they didnt proactively offer to help. Overall it felt like we stuck out like a sore thumb in this store and it wasnt a great experience.

Always a fun place to shop. Great variety and reasonable prices on wines and such. I wish their home goods were not so expensive, but, still fun to browse. The deli has delicious lunch options.

I’ve frequented many Brown Derby’s over the years (Campbell Ave, Republic Ave, Bennett St, Seminole St, The Wine Center) and have always been met with courteous, knowledgeable staff who are friendly and congenial, Brown Derby is a great local place to find good, quality liquor. In my opinion, I’d avoid the Wine Center, as I’ve been met with an almost pretentious attitude by the employees any time I’ve shopped at this location, but the Republic Ave store is a great option for those looking for a variety.

We had such an amazing time at our wine tasting!! Huge shout out to Darren for being a totally cool sommelier! We enjoyed wine and treats. The back room was super chill to hang out and be away from the crowd. Really enjoyed a nice ladies only night out.

Ive been to this location on several occasions, & its usually pretty consistent with its service, & organization. They have a vast selection of wines & beers, & even have wine tastings on occasion. Im not certain about the tastings since the Pandemic, however. The staff are helpful & friendly. The building is very spacious & kept up. If you enjoy a diverse range of alcoholic beverages, then this spot is for you! Give it a try. Recommended.

This place was awesome. I did not know what I was looking for exactly but I had a very peculiar list to follow. I got help from one of the associates there and unfortunately I cant remember her name but she was amazing call me find what I needed that was a great price.

Had me wait for her to finish her long conversation before she’d help me as I walked in the door. Then told me if I wasn’t buying something I couldn’t look around...helped me out the door...Black people I wouldn’t recommend spending ya money their..but I’m sure that’s how they want it

Large selection of wine. Moderate in whiskey, rum, scotch. Light on the tequila. Basic brands, nothing too special. Not very much cheese or meats. More atmosphere than anything. Can eat meals in there.

Ive been a customer for years and always been happy but it seems like theyve really stepped up their game in the past year or so. I love bourbons and my wife loves wine so weve got plenty of excuses to visit. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the selection is second to none, and their barrel picks are always on point!

When I was young Brown Derby was the neighborhood place where you walked out with your purchase in a brown paper bag. How times have changed. They now have a wonderful selection of craft beers, wine, and premium drinks from around the world. You will find what you’re looking for here.

Our go-to for booze, Bordeaux, beer, and bougie deli products. Friendly staff, not quite somalier-level, but they dont pretend to be either. I always find what I want, and theyll order it if its not in stock. Id go just for the atmosphere... Also a neat spot for a glass of wine and a snack.

Top notch Brown Derby! Its quite amazing the difference between this particular location as opposed to the others peppered around Springfield.A tremendous selection of imported foods along with the liquor. The management team seems engaging, however the rest of the staff were pretty much rude in terms of lacking of any customer contact. Its a great setup, but you can spend thousands on a great look and feel of a store, but if the employees are dull then all of the other stuff (merchandise, food, look and feel) is meaningless.My wife and I will be back because they have a very sexy assortment of Italian pastas.They apparently offer wine tasting as well and many things appropriate to host a very nice dinner party!Im hoping the employees will be more engaging next time.

This place is awesome. They got more than just wine and beer. There is a place that you can sit and have a drink with some food. Huge selection of cheese and meats and the crackers. There is an abundance of other stuff there as well that would go with a wine and dine type of event.

The best all around liquor store in town. My go to for a night in with a sweetheart. A great ever changing selection of craft beer, wine, and liquor. They also carry lots of quality cheeses, deli meats, and assorted finger foods to compliment the alcohol. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. Do not be bashful if you have questions about what to drink.

Snobby and prudish customers as well as their employees. Management isnt much better at this establishment. Wouldnt recommend to anyone, shop mom and pop liquor outlets than support this heinous business behavior.

The food was great, so was the alcohol selection, however they need to keep a better eye on thier available tables. We were told there were tables open, there were none. I was pretty disappointed to have to change my order to a to go order after paying and thensearching for a table. My husband and I had been really looking forward to dining out that day and a heads up that there was no seating would have been nice during ordering. Charcuterie board is not the same when it is packed in boxes.

YES, the wine center sales wine.Unless you take the time to look around, you have missed a great experience. They have by far the best cheese bar in Springfield. One of the best keep secrets. They have a restaurant... You can order lunch and have a wine tasting at the same time. The food is mouth watering wonderful. This store is by far the best brown derby in this town. The workers make you feel so welcome all the time, very positive energy, this store is also clean and sanitized everytime I go in it. The workers also wear mask!

Need to sell to more responsible people and people who are too drunk they need to refuse service or people drinking and driving. I mean you have the right to refuse service or the right to keep selling it way way over intoxicated people who need to be told NO MORE!!!

My go-to here is the Derby Cobb Salad and French Onion soup. This evening I decided to treat myself when I stopped to pick up some wine and chocolate for a friends birthday. The Derby Cobb was fresh and fantastic. The soup should be renamed French Salt . It was so incredibly salty that it had no other flavor. I was so sad. My guest and I were very disappointed.

Good selection of specialty and Gourmet food items. Good selection of alcoholic beverages. They also have gifts. They serve lunch now and also have various food and beverage tasting. A fun place to visit. Prices are relatively high but not any higher as other specialty shops. I would like to go back and try their lunch as I have not done that

Love the service & vibe of the Brown Derby Wine Center. We recently asked the BDW Center to order us a case of wine from Maui Wine & they delivered at better price point and quicker than if ordered through the Winery. The wine selection is always unique & the addition of the wine kiosk for tasting makes for a fun afternoon/evening adventure. Love the cooking sauces, jams & jellies as well.

This place has everything you could possible need (and a bunch of stuff you didnt know you need but buy it anyway). I always enjoy visiting here, sometimes just because Im on that side of town and want to look around. I enjoy bourbon, wine and beer. The selection that they have of all three is absolutely amazing. The decor is very impressive and the food that they have now is great. Wonderful place to meet up with friends and grab a bite then do some shopping. Its also a great place to grab a gift for those people that are typically hard to shop for. I would recommend to everyone!Cheers!

Great location with an amazing selection. My favorite parts of the store has to be the cold selection of wines and beers and hard ciders as well as the selection of cheeses and other things if you like to do charcuterie boards and things like that. You can also purchase wine by the glass and try it out and sit with your friends and sip and discuss. Do not pass up this location.
