Definitely would not recommend, long story short Steve told me he could replace my transmission in 5 days, had my car towed to his house, had a 1,300 transmission shipped to his house just for it to sit outside in the rain for a whole month, the whole process he lied to me about working on my car, he didnt touch it for over a month it sat in the same spot the tow truck first dropped it off at, finally I had enough of him lying and denying my calls so I picked my car and transmission up but he would not give me my key back, it took 2 weeks and I had to file a police report just to get my keys back for the car, avoid at all cost id rather had waited the 5 weeks every other shop was telling me to wait.

I recently had my transmission worked on, and i was highly impressed by the work they did and how they explained what they did to fix it. Even with my blunt description of what events conspired when it decided to break. I was Very impressed by the quality and how quickly they got the job done. I walked in expecting to spend over 700$ but i didnt even spend half of that. Definitely will be going back to have more work done by them.

Steve was honest and upfront. I brought him a truck with 425k miles to get looked at for a noise. He could have easily sold me a rebuild and I would have bought it. Instead he looked things over, assured me the transmission was good to put more mileage on. He said the noise was common for the mileage on the TC. We did the service on it and it seems to be running better. Thanks

Really great experience. Price was more than fair. Repair was done quickly and well. Everything was explained that was being done. I would recommend Springfield Transmission to anybody. I live 30 miles away and will still take my vehicles to them.

My van is rather large and price for repairs is expensive. Other shop in area wanted way too much for rebuild on transmission. This shop repaired my transmission and also fixed wiring to tail lamps so I could pass motor vehicle inspection. They did not charge me for the electrical repair and when I asked about it they said it was courtesy to me. Very good people and nice shop for repairs.

My truck was shifting strange and everyone I took it to said the transmission needed rebuilt. I took it to Springfield Transmission for the free diagnostics. Turns out the reason it wouldnt shift was because the ignition switch wasnt putting power down to the transmission. It cost a little to fix but no where near what a transmission would have cost me. Thanks for having an honest shop.

I had a transmission built for a diesel that I was told would outlast the factory transmission because of the upgrades. . The factory transmission had 270,000 miles on it. The first trip in, I spent $2,950.00. The first day I drove it home, the transmission quit pulling itself. I had to haul it back the next day. I hauled it back 3 more times after that and spent another $600 on it doing what they recommended. Then 8 months later and 10,000 miles, the transmission when out. I have a 24,000 mile- 24 month warranty. They tried telling me a ridiculous reason why the transmission went out and that it was my fault. They put another transmission in it and its slipping in 3rd gear not even 30 miles on it, dont want to cover the warranty and wants another $2900. Ive been around diesels and trucks my entire life. Raised on a farm, been a small business owner for several years, in the military for 10 and deployed over seas. Im not stupid, yet they want to treat me as such and leave me with a non working product. Think twice before dealing with these people. They will lie and not stand behind their warranty. They will also keep your vehicle for weeks upon weeks, it was 6 weeks before they even called me. I know several business owners and military personnel and their families that will not do business with them. If youve had a good experience with these people, be thankful.

Took my truck in for a major vibration. Every shop I took it to said it was the transmission. Springfield Transmission is the only shop that actually raised it up and then checked the drivelines. Turns out it was just the front one. $300.00 to fix it along with labor. I could not be happier with thier service work or the price. Saved me a ton of money. would recommend to a friend for sure.

Great experience, they do good work, and when I was looking for someone to rebuild my transmission stronger than it left the factory, they were able to do the work and suggest the best parts to make it stand up to the abuse of off roading and rock crawling. Great place, great people, great work, and great prices.

Ive been using this shop for the last 10 years and have never had an issue!!! They provide great service and are the only shop in Springfield that I will trust my vehicle with. I always get a thourough explanation of what the problem is and unlike most shops, they give you the option on what you want to fix and when and in what order and dont try to tell you that you need work done that you dont. I send my friends here and they love this place too!!! Never had a negative experience and the only one time that something needed to go back it was the part that was defective and not the quality of work. I would recommend this shop to anyone and if my dad was not a mechanic, I would send my mom :D

My transmission started to slip at the beginning of the semester so I called this place. Spoke with Steve I believe was his name and he got my car in fairly fast. We agreed that there was a nice replacement and he would order it and put my car on the rack to see if he could do anything. I went out of town for the weekend and after my $650 deposit on the replacement transmission he decided that it didnt need it when he got it up on the rack. So when I came back to pick it up he said he practically rebuilt it only for another $650. Without my consent on what should be done to my car he made his decision. When I showed up to pick it up and ask for a receipt he told me to take his word. So if youre looking for a crook tax evading liar this is your shop to go to.

My wife had 4 transmissions rebuilt here over a few years and none of them lasted over 25000 miles, NONE.
