My late father’s truck was stolen while it was at another repair shop in town for an inspection. When the police finally recovered it, we knew we wanted to find a trustworthy and reliable shop that took pride in their repairs and protected their customers’ assets. We were recommended to Christian Brothers and I’m thankful that we were!There were many repairs that needed to be done and replacement of parts that had been stolen. Kylor and his team at Christian Brothers went above and beyond. They not only took the time to thoroughly inspect and determine what was needed to get the truck up and running, but were consistently in contact with us and kept an open line of communication for me to ask questions as often as needed. On top of all of their awesome work getting it to drivable condition, they actually took the time and detailed/cleaned it up so that was one less problem we had to deal with.We were blown away with their service and their work. In the end Christian Brothers came through with servicing my needs in a timely manner by getting my vehicle back on the road. My repairs were extensive and expensive due in most part to the needed replacement parts. Christian Brothers worked with me to source the parts and get them installed to my satisfaction. I’d highly recommend this shop and give a thumbs up to the great staff.

Customer Beware! Compare any estimates you get from this company, The company is way too busy being fabulous.This week I took my 1996 Chevrolet Truck into Christian Brothers Automotive. The problem I was experiencing was I had smoke from underneath the hood and loss of power . I fully explained the event details and left the vehicle for them to look at the truck.The next day i was contacted in the afternoon and the service person said they had tried to recreate the situation, without success of finding the issue. They reported my air conditioner and a faulty valve and asked for permission to repair it and refill the coolant in the air conditioner, which I gave.The next day I received a call from Mark and he stated that in their inspection of the vehicle and checking the mileage maintenance recommendations they had a list of recommended items that should be serviced. I need a left brake caliper and hose replaced being an immediate issue, also the valve covers gaskets needed replaced. They also recommended doing fluid exchange on the transmission, fluid maintenance on the rear differential, Flush the radiator, changing out the power steering fluid. I was floored when I saw the total for these services exceeding $2100.After having owned and serviced vehicles over 50 years this seemed over the top. I sent a request to two other service companies, one of them a Chevrolet dealership and their estimate price was less than half of the estimate from Christian Brothers Automotive.They did charge me $375.00 for replacing the defective AC valve and recharging the AC and their time to try to unsuccessfully determine the initial problem I brought the truck in for.Customer be very Aware! Get an estimate upfront, in writing, and compare with other automotive service companies.

This place should be called Scam Brothers. Please no one go to them and save yourself the time, money, and risk on your life.I’ve brought my car to them several times over the last few months with the same problem. The first time they said there was somehow nothing wrong with my car at all. My car continued to have the same issue, so bad this time I had to get it towed to them. They then “fixed” it for a little under $2000. Not even a month later and I have the same problem and have my car towed to them, where they once again tell me my car is fine and they feel bad because they don’t want it messing up on me again but there is “nothing they can do”.Well my car is still having the same issue even after I’ve replaced the battery myself, something they never even thought to do? It helped for a little bit but now my car won’t start again. I decide to check my car for any recalls online (I would’ve done it sooner but this is my first car and I didn’t know I could do that) and wow easiest thing to freaking do. My car has had several recalls in the past as well as one in 2019. You would think a mechanic would maybe do his own research really fast and be able to see this, especially if there was “nothing they can do” when I bring them the same problem over and over?I’m very upset, I feel like I was completely played by this company and I have no doubt many others have been too. Don’t use them, they don’t know what they are doing, they treat people like they’re stupid, and they are very untrustworthy.

I called Christian Brothers the first thing on Monday morning, attempting to get my daughter’s car in for a repair. Ethan answered the phone and said he would try and work it in if I could drop it off. After dropping her car off, within just a couple of hours, I received a text advising me of the work that needed to be done. I was able to elect what I wanted done and decline services they were recommending based upon their inspection of her car. They kept me up to date via text, and completed the repair coincidentally around the time my daughter got off work. I picked her up and drove her to the shop, where they went over the work that was done and both she and I were happy. Christian Brothers offers a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty in their work. My daughter and I are both very grateful that they were able to get her car in and repaired so quickly. We will definitely consider them for future automotive repairs.

I made an online appointment Saturday morning and got the usual email to confirm my appointment for Wednesday morning. I brought in Bilstien shocks & coil overs on Wednesday which I’d also detailed out on the appointment page complete with part numbers so there’d be no surprises.. Everything I had was standard fare and compatible with my truck. Basically I just wanted my stock suspension replaced with better parts. When I showed up, they found my on line request but hadn’t done anything to secure my appointment. Then the guy goes through all the excuses of it’s custom stuff and we can’t give any estimate. I’d need to wait 2-3 days before going in. What a joke! I will recommend them to people I want to screw over. A better organized tire shop GLM on Olive & Chestnut street allowed me to speak directly to their lead mechanic. Guess what, no big deal for him to estimate and he was very familiar with doing what I want. He walked me through what he’d do and how much it would cost including taxes. The other shop earned my business from now on. Christian bros might be good for doing simple stuff using parts they control margins on, but not so much on performing mechanics work otherwise.

They do good work but they’ll charge you WAY too much. I got an estimate for a total of $3,000 to fix an oil leak and replace my rack and pinion with a few other suggestions that didn’t even have an estimate. I got a second opinion from my dads mechanic and he did all of the work plus what Christian brothers suggested but didn’t give an estimate for. For a third of the price and his work was just as well as Christian bothers.Soooo yea, if they think you won’t know any better they’ll try and squeeze more money out of you.

Came recommended by my tire shop for an alignment. Even with the discount it was overpriced. Inept mechanic couldnt even deal with a stuck bolt. Use them if you like poor quality, overpriced mechanic services. They did have a well decorated waiting room.

I had 2 different cars that needed repairs in the same week, the first with a brake issue and the second with a transmission issue. Both repairs were done quickly, and they even gave me a ride home to help me out when I needed it! The repairs were during the big snow storm, and they went out of their way to drive to get a part in case it couldnt be delivered. All the staff was great, and I highly recommend them to anyone!

I got my timing belt replaced. Christian Brother’s Auto offered me rates slightly better than the local dealership. They were clear and straightforward when communicating with me. They were quite timely. I felt cared for and I could trust them. They’re my go to for everything.

Very helpful, patient, and not pushy. I especially like that they can send you a text f the courtesy inspection while you are waiting. It shows the inspection of each system they check. You can approve or decline the service, If there is something they show that needs attention. Its just a nice added option.

I brought my vehicle in for a routine inspection for re-registering and was pleasantly surprised to be given a print out of the results of a very thorough inspection of my entire vehicle. Not only did I pass the inspection, but quite a few items were brought to my attention that would need addressing in the near future. Due to the age of my vehicle, every item listed made perfect sense. The staff were very friendly, courteous and efficient. I recently moved to Springfield and now I found a place where I can trust to take my vehicle whenever the need arises.

Great experience at this Christian Brothers Springfield location. They were so welcoming, helped me quickly with some inspections needed on my car. Every staff member I spoke to was so kind. The owner Lee was a gracious host as I waited for my vehicle. Also the shop dog is the cutest dog I’ve ever met. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

Christian Brothers has always been professional and courteous. They explain everything in detail and let me know what maintenance items are coming in the future (brake wear, etc)for budgeting. Many times I have come in for an oil change and let them know I am planning a long trip and they have checked everything for me so that I travel safely. Went in to get my brakes done they told me they would inspect it and let me know what the cost would be and a time frame for the work. After the inspection told me my brakes would be all right but I have some linkage issues that needed to be addressed pretty quick. They said the brakes would need replaced soon, but I could do without them right now. They quoted me the price, told me they could get it done right away and I decided to let them do the brakes also. Very good price, good service and everything was up front. Truck drives much better now and I feel much safer in it. Top-notch professional quality and service.

Was only referred here for repairs that another shop paid for so I can thank them for working with Discount Tire. They are by appointment only and are vary respectful.EDIT: these guys found an issue with the break knuckle on the front right wheel. I had that done by a friend a few years back and had one issue come up back then. I dont know how urgent the repair actually was as I had driven for years with it like that but I do know they were able to work with me to find part prices and then even came up with an alternative way to fix the spot for under half the part price. They even assured me that if the alternative way didnt work I wouldnt have to pay! The fix worked and Ive had no issues with my truck since picking it up yesterday. I recommend them if you have time to drop it off. They do offer rides to and from the shop. 5/5I called back in because I thought the repair job might have failed to see if I could get the whole part replaced and they said they couldnt help with it. So Im confused on why they explained they could do it the last time and they just said they couldnt help me and hang up without even saying anything else. Really wanted to go here for my replacement job as they knew what was going on. Just really strange... 4/5

I came in a few years ago for oil changes and they were always so nice. When I needed an inspection done they were my first choice. Needed new tires to pass the inspection. They let me know and quoted me with what they had. No pressure at all to schedule them to do it. They ended up being the best deal in town and got me in really quick 2 days later. I really appreciate the honesty and low pressure environment they have created!

I honestly hate leaving poor reviews. I know that it reflects poorly on a business but I wanted to share my experience... in hopes that it might cause some change.I have been to CB Auto 2 times in my life. And both times have been pretty terrible experiences. The second time, I went in hoping that they would redeem themselves from the last time.The first time I had a random part go out on my vehicle. My windshield wiper motor went out. It was the middle of a snow storm in KC. I called and got a quote. My dad recommended this shop because they had always been fair with him.The quote I got was for $350. I said that I would bring it in, but this was literally all that I could afford to repair at the time. If other things needed to be done, I would have to wait to get paid.A few hours later, I was called to tell me that I could go ahead and pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, I was told that my total was $500. I was shocked and proceeded to ask them to remove whatever additional items they had put in my car. They had added windshield wipers, premium one that were... get this $60 EACH! Plus the Labor to put them on.I had purchased the same wipers at Walmart for $40 FOR THE PAIR. I then asked the cashier to pull my part that they had replaced out of the trash and put it in my vehicle. I was beyond upset. This is not the first time that I have been bombarded with an astronomical bill. I can only assume that It is because I am a female.They did not know that my dad was in the store with me... just watching. The attitude and the behavior.. and pure lack of integrity for claiming to be a Christian business is inexcusable. This was 5 years ago. At the location on Metcalf in Overland Park KS. I chose not to review this incident until now because I figured that just losing my business was enough to rectify the situation. But after my last incident... I am compelled to share.I went to the location in Springfield off Republic. I made an appointment for a routine oil change and inspection. THE ONLY REASON I WENT IN WAS BECAUSE I CALLED 4 OTHER SHOPS FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY WERE BOOKED.The oil change went fine... ish. I had requested that they use the cheapest oil possible and they proceeded to put in the synthetic oil. My car is 20 years old... it does not require any frills. I let that slide.My inspection did not pass. I was not upset about that. The price given to me, was unreasonably high. I bit my tongue and left. Knowing that I would be getting a second look.They quoted me to replace ball joints on both sides and tie Rod.I took it to another company... local, family owned.They replaced the items quoted by CB Auto & replaced my brakes AND GAVE ME MY INSPECTION STICKER FOR $300 LESS than CB AUTO.I am a Christian and do my best to live with integrity.. and do the right thing...They have given being a believer a bad name. And i do believe that they practice their craft in bad faith. They have lost my business and likely anyone I meets business. I know it’s just my humble opinion. But there it is.

My first time taking my vehicle here and Ill definitely be back! Very professional and gave me all the information upfront, I could pick and choose which services I wanted and was not pressured into more. (I went in for an oil leak, they also recommended new spark plugs and wires, for an example) I love the text service and the link to the inspection results. Very nice and clean shop. I cant express how happy I was with my service, definitely recommend!

Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. My car is ancient and needed a ton of work. They explained the issues they’d found in a way that was easy to understand (I know nothing about cars!) and without making me feel like they were ever talking down to me. They differentiated between repairs that were necessary and those that could wait. They were honest about one specific (and potentially expensive) issue with my car being less expensive for at another location due to the type of equipment needed for the repair. They even offered to get a quote from another business for me. I completely trust their staff, appreciate their honesty, & recommend you check them out!

Service was great and quick. They told me about possible issues that may need to be fixed in the future but didnt pressure me to fix them right then. They explained things well and told me the cost up front.

I went in for an alignment and oil change. Since my vehicle is rather old, they were unable to complete the alignment without breaking some clamps. They notified me of this need before proceeding with anything and let me decide next steps. They were able to do the alignment on a different day after getting the needed replacement parts. Overall they did an excellent job, were very friendly and courteous, and didn’t cost an arm and a leg! What more could you ask for? I’ll be going back with any other of my automotive needs. Thanks!

Ive been coming to Christian Brothers on Republic Rd. for 2 years now. Their service is unmatched in multiple areas, i.e., service, value, professionalism. I really like the digital platform they are using to expedite service and communicate with the customer.

This was my first time using this shop & I will never go anywhere else! Kyler was the one to set up my appointment & answer any questions I had. I know nothing about cars, so he explained things very detailed, yet simple to understand. Mike did the actual repairs and that man went above and beyond! He noticed my rear passenger window was stuck down and out it back on its track for me. He also noticed my plates were in my rear window (I do not have tools at home & these were newly updated plates) so he puts those on! All of this for no additional charge, just saw a need & met that need! As a single, young woman, I am used to shops trying to take advantage of my naivety. I have never had such wonderful service from an auto body shop. I will be coming here from now on and make sure my friends and family all know about this company’s exceptional services!!

Some things to watch for. The two stars are awarded for staff and for their text message estimate system, both are pretty excellent. However, a star is also taken away because of the platform, as I am sure that is likely why their costs are so astronomically high. Their price point is a major reason for a deduction. They had over a 1.5% markup on their parts. Wheel bearing and hub assembly for an 08 Impala at OReillys is $95-$139, they were pricing theres around $245. It made this review all the more noteworthy when I went to OReillys to buy the part and one of their guys was there getting parts of his own. Another star is down because they offered shuttle service, then when I showed up they told me their shuttle was broke down. They offered a ride in their personal vehicle, which again is why I kept a star for the courtesy the staff displayed. Overall, Im sure the likely do great work, but you will pay dearly for it. A bearing replacement, with parts, was $435.72 dollars for a singular bearing. The last star is down for the fact that they charge a steep diagnostic fee, $60, that they will not apply towards the fix if you choose to let them do the work. Im guessing thats tied into the costs of their software packages.

We take our cars to Christian Brother’s because we know that Lee and Ethan will be up front and honest with us on what our cars need. They are reliable and we appreciate the customer service that each of their team members provide. It is all top notch, quality service that we can depend on and the deliver nothing less!

Ethan at Christian Brothers was great to work with. He was able to have my car picked up from my home, get an inspection and estimate for the work, and get it fixed as painlessly as possible. I really appreciated the text messages that I got with information about my vehicle, and then receiving an email to authorize the work so I knew exactly what they were fixing and how much it cost. They did have to keep my car overnight to wait for parts, but it was completed and I was notified early the next day.I will definitely continue to have them work on my vehicles and recommend them to others.

Great experience. They a very detailed inspection and estimate of what they found. The repairs they did for us were done professionally and timely. I will return to then in the future for any other issue I run into.

Took my suv to Christian Brothers for the first time after recommendation from my Brother’s co-worker. Wow! So glad to find them!! The dealership had gotten so expensive & always felt like they were trying to push more services. Ethan and Lee, (the owner) are professional & explained everything so I could understand it. I like how they text me everything that was checked out & any recommendations. The waiting room is clean & comfortable. Close to my home too so if I ever need a ride they will provide. I have always maintained my cars so they will last a long time. So glad to find Christian Brothers !

This was my first time at Christian Brothers. I was there for a front end alignment. They took the time to inspect and even explained that the alignment wasn’t off enough to have it aligned before charging me for it. I went ahead and did it since I was there anyway. Professional staff that are courteous and so kind. They go above and beyond to ensure that your vehicle is well taken care of. I would recommend them for all auto servicing needs.

I have had my car at another auto repair and the main problem just couldn’t be fixed :(I saw the reviews on Christian Brothers Auto, so I called them and took my car there just as they were closing. I gave them my keys and they gave me a ride home, which I so appreciated! The next morning they called and told all the problems, so I told them to go ahead and fix it. They called and said it was ready about 2:15 pm and within 15 minutes my ride was here :) I was in my “new” car and on my way before 3:00pm. I will definitely take all my cars there if something isn’t right. Thank you for the wonderful and reliable service with a smile:)This is the 2nd time I have been there and they were fantastic!! Price is very competitive. They got my oil changed and also did a check on everything!! Very good. Will go there again and Recommend them to everyone

These guys have been taking care of my vehicle for 2 years now. I travel for work and put at least 3k miles a month on my car. From oil changes, to brakes, inspections, ac work and tires Christian brothers on west republic road is exceptional with service and pricing. Extremely knowledgeable, reliable, and quick. I’ve recommended them to everyone I personally know and will continue to do so!!
