I have been waiting a good little bit before writing a review but I will do one now. I cant say enough about this company, Tyler is extremely helpful and explains everything in full detail. They have worked on multiple vehicles of mine through the years, they had one little mess up which this one was easy to do and they were fully prepared to completely fix the issue at not charge (which was very pricey though) I have been referring my family and friends to them for a while now and they have all came back with great results. I cant ask for a better garage to fix my vehicle if it is just something more than I can handle.

Had some axle and bearing work that had to be done on my 4Runner. These guys had the proper tools and were done the same day. As far as price goes, the rate was comparable to other places. I just liked these guys more.

This is the only repair shop I will refer to my friends & family because they do the best job, and are the most honest mechanics I have ever met. I also appreciate that its a family run business, so I have got to meet mom, sister, & brother. All wonderful people! I bought a brand new vehicle so I havent had to see them in a few, but just today referred a good friend over to them without hesistation.

This place is awesome! I thought my truck was going to need The rear main seal replaced, which would cost me between $500 and $700. I said something about what I thought the problem might be when I dropped it off and one of the mechanics also said the same thing so thats pretty much what I thought I was going to have to pay. I get a call a few hours later And they told me that it was going to be an oil coolant line rather than the rear main seal and that repair cost me $302. I dont want to be but I cant help but be skeptical about people and I generally assume that if a person can they will get one over on me and I was really happily surprised by the honesty shown to me by the employees of Best Automotive Repair; it was honesty that restored my faith in humanity a little. it would have been so easy for them to say the rear main seal needed to be replaced and Id never have known the difference but some people live by a code of honor and they would never even consider doing something underhand like that. If you need something fixed on your car I cant recommend a place more than I would recommend this one, your car will be in the hands of master technicians who know what theyre doing and who are honest who could ask for more??! thank you guys so much youll be seeing me again!

I called around to all the brake shops in town because I just knew my brakes were bad and Best was the cheapest I found but more importantly they suggested I bring my car in and they would do an inspection om my brakes first instead of just changing them and I am glad I did my brakes were fine in fact they have alot of life left in them just some rust on the rear which was causing the noise i was hearing!!!¹ So with the money I saved I got an oil change!!! Thanks for you honesty and you will jave all my familys business!!

Had a great experience at Best Automotive today. Had a pre-purchase inspection on a used car Im planning on buying, and they were great. Told me a lot about the car in plain terms - Im not a car person, so I appreciate them taking a few extra minutes to explain in more detail for me and give me some tips on the car buying process. Im buying a Nissan and they let me know what to watch for versus other makes and models. Very knowledgeable and straight shooters. Thankfully, the cars in great condition but Ill be back to Best Automotive for maintenance and repairs when I need them.

They were very professional. I went in thinking one thing was wrong with my vehicle only to find out whos a much simpler and less expensive fix. They were very thorough and Im happy with the repair.

Dude told me my ac was fixed, it wasnt. So 160 down the hole for it to still be broken. Then they wanted to charge me to fix it again. Terrible shop!

I was out of town on a camping trip. My front brakes went out. They were busy but fit me in. Very up front and honest. Identified a front bearing issue and fixed it last minute before they closed. They charged very little extra labor as they already had it apart. You are very lucky to have such a great shop locally.

I brought my 93 Safari with a 383 Stroker in to install headers and repair engine mounts. Not only did they get it done in less than a day, but they ran new piping, fixed some smaller issues, kept everything organized (spark plug wires, cutout wires, etc) cleaned up a little, and they also all were very down to Earth and friendly. Highly recommend for exhaust work, the price of everything wasnt bad at all.

My Honda Odyssey needed a replacement engine. Best found a great low mileage engine, installed it and got me back on the road quickly. It’s been several weeks and 2,000 miles with no leaks or burning oil - simply no problems.

Tried to do a simple inspection of a vehicle that had recently been in a professional shop about 2 months ago. I had the truck completely looked over and had all of the suspension and mechanical issues addressed and fixed and possible upcoming issues. This is my work truck so I need it to be reliable and constantly up to par. The said truck failed an inspection due to suspension parts that needed addressed. The cost of the bill was pretty large for being “cheap parts” and labor. Why do shops have to do this? Went to a shop same day elsewhere and passed with no issues.

I have used best since moving to Springfield. They always call before doing the work. They give great advice. They do great quality work in a timely manner. They will keep an eye out for other problems even as they address what you brought the car in for. I have never had to take a vehicle back because they failed to fix the problem.

Tyler is the man! He was for me and Im sure all technicians at Best Automotive are Awesome. I read the reviews about the company and honestly say it was great advice. I took my truck in with an issue and problem was explained to me and solved. Actually a lot less of a cost than I expected also. I mentioned a couple other concerns I though might need to be looked at and Tyler jumped right in to looking at them, explaining everything about the issue, then gave me straight up honest recommendations. I was never lied to, and Tyler never tried to sell me on something I did not need. I have found my new spot!

Id like to preface that I am not a licensed mechanic. I have rudimentary knowledge regarding vehicles that allows me to carry out basic maintenance such as an oil change, or installing new breaks. So, logically, when a trained professional tells me something about my vehicle, I tend to take it to heart. Saying that, I went to Best Automotive for a standard State Inspection, which is a usual affair, and while I know my vehicle is nothing to look at, I didnt expect anything in particular. However, I was failed and given a list of things that Best Automotive could repair for me in order to pass the inspection. My father is a licensed mechanic, so understandably I approached him first to see if we could fix these issues ourselves. My father found no such issues. So we went to another well-reviewed and well-established Licensed State Inspection Station in order to get another opinion. The result? An easy pass with no reason to worry. Best Automotive lied to me, likely to attempt to take advantage of my limited knowledge in vehicles, and because of this I will never use their services again. I will refrain from using any more specifics because it is blatantly evident from the responses to negative reviews and the overtly rude tone that Best Automotive has no interest in listening to criticism nor in addressing it. Additionally they have a tendency to call people out and talk down to them using personal information and details. Im simply posting my story to aid anyone in search for their own mechanic shop, as I strongly advise avoiding this one.Im editing this post at a later date in response to the response from Best Automotive. You did not address any of the concerns I brought up during my review, simply stating the same thing you told me in your shop. I am not a licensed mechanic, and only possess rudimentary knowledge about cars. You can tell me anything you want, and all I can do is nod and agree. I took it upon myself to get a second opinion, and then a third opinion. Everyone else I went to said the same thing: there is no exhaust leak. Its easy to tell me there is when you cant actually show me (since its supposedly inaccessible). Additionally, the inspection had previously been paid for by the family member that owns the car, so there was simply no reason to turn down the completion of the inspection. I felt it was worth getting a full assessment rather than taking your word and leaving. My one-star review remains.

Came here in late Nov. With my Chevy Avalanche around 4-4:30pm on a Thursday Radiator was pouring from both sides thats to a small tree jumping out in front on me. I was met in the parking lot by the owner. He introduced himself and asked how he could help. He then saw my truck and I really didnt need to saw a word. He gave me ten minutes of his time and let me know everything I needed to know. Answered every question I had. He told me he could have it done and back to me by lunch time the very next day. I had to wait a week or so do to work but when I came back to set up a time he remembered me and my truck. The nice lady behind the counter was awesome.brought it in about 30 minutes late the next morning and they were still nice and polite. My truck was done in less time then I had expected. I will be back here in the future. This will be the 1st place I go with any vehicle as long as I live around here. I tell any and everyone to go here now and I will continue to do so. Thank to all who work here.

They are awesome! I was hearing a mysterious noise come from my vehicle when driving. All I wanted was someone to test drive my SUV to pin point the problem. Everyone else that I went to turned me down or was rude or said they needed to take apart my engine. I went straight into Best Discount Mufflers and Brakes and they immediately test drove my car with no questions asked. They found the problem and it was such a small problem. And they fixed it right away. Their customer service was awesome! Ive never felt so welcomed into a mechanic shop before. I will definitely start going back for all my car issues and I will recommend all my friends and family. Another cool thing about them is that theyre locally owned! Im so happy with my experience!

Eric took a look at my car as soon as I brought it in. He knew what was wrong with it within 5 minutes. My car needed 3 new parts and they gave us the opportunity to order them ourselves so we could get the best deal. As soon as the parts came in Eric noticed they just werent right! He took it upon himself to track down the correct parts for us through salvage yards since new parts were a ridiculous price. My brother (the built in family mechanic) did not understand how the parts were wrong. Eric was so pleasant when we went to pick up the car and thoroughly explained what was wrong with the parts we ordered. My car drives way smoother than it did before. And did I mention how happy I was when I got the bill? These people are honest and hardworking. I recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much!

This place is a joke and a ripoff. Charging $200 for a $10 radiator cap and antifreeze. Don’t go here they’ll just take you for a ride and rip you off.

Went in a couple weeks ago for a serpentine belt replacement and was literally in and out in maybe 30 minutes! Great guys working and the gentlemen working on my car even came out to explain a small issue that caused the price to slightly increase. No big deal since it was still cheap compared to most other places I called. For sure coming back when I need to!

I have used them many times over a 6 year period and have never been disappointed, I feel like I get fair prices and honest work done to the vehicles Ive had in. The staff have always been very friendly and explain in detail whats going on. They have saved me a lot on repairs over the years compared to others, the only suggestion Id make is a bigger place as sometimes its hard to get in when needed if you have one car and a hard to work around schedule,but I say this as a compliment to the work they do. I was very worried about being taken advantage of and being told I needed items that really were not necessary. This business has been FANTASTIC!! VERY quick and reasonable priced! Dont take your car to this location for a safety inspection. Failed my car for multiple reasons requiring 2k $ in repairs which had nothing to do with safety. Used them for years. Will never set foot in their office again.

I had a pretty bad coolant leak and didnt have the tools to fix it, had prepared for a head gasket replacement but turns out it was just a bad hose, which they quickly ordered from their warehouse to get me in and out on Saturday. A couple of days later my car started leaking coolant again. I of course, suspected that they hadnt just caught it on Saturday and emailed them on their website, but then later realized that it wasnt leaking until after I got to work on Monday. They wanted to make sure I had a working car by Christmas and were willing to double check their work and fix any other issues that may have arose, so much so that they came to my work to pick up the car and dropped it back off for me when the work was done, giving me a ring throughout the day to give me updates on what was going on with the car. Turned out it was just some loose bolts and an O ring behind the water pump, which I was definitely thankful for. Customer service when I was there on Saturday was top notch, same for my experience on Wednesday. They definitely know how to create returning customers.

In response to you Karen I did not request the 3rd axle change with a different brand Eric suggested the change in brands and the complaint you called noise was the same popping that the defective cv axle was making. I understand the car must be serviced but you are missing or avoiding the point IT WAS NOT MAKING ANY POPPING NOISE UNTIL YOU TOUCHED IT. Eric had told us that everything was fine on the front end of the car so it must be a defective part. Now Tyler wants to say it is a strut well the struts were fine before you worked on it, so what did your service techs do is the question I would be asking and I would talk to Eric since he is the one that started this service. You can make all the excuses you want blame us the customer but I will make sure that I tell everyone I talk to about this experience. I just wanted our car returned to us without the popping noise that it never had until you serviced it. All I have heard out of your mouth is excuses and blaming own up to what you did and get right and fix what you broke.

DO NOT GO HERE. They will tell you things are wrong to get money from you. They told my boyfriend we had an exhaust leak, he is not a mechanic and therefore doesnt know what it means when they say we cant see it because its under a heat shield, but there is a leak there and then point to stuff. Also, the tie rods where replaced last year, and yet they said one was going bad again while just pointing. They also said our windshield wipers where bad when they where not by legal state inspection laws, they did not check under the heat shield to confirm a leak, only guessing like children do. And they lied to our faces and took our money. With no work done besides replacing back lights, at Mitcham it passed with no problems. And down in their response you will see they claimed I got an illegal false inspection done by single person at a legal inspection automotive store, then threaten me with the State Patrol because of a bad, and true, review. Nice class.

We had a tail pipe replaced on a work truck, it does the job but the way the end was cut off looks bad like a cut off pipe with a sharp edge I had to use a die grinder and clean up the edge so some one would not slice the leg on it piss poor work
