The shop owners, Dave and Bob are great guys and are as honest as the day is old. This place is close to spfld college,AIC, and WNEU. I say this because many students are from far away and our driving cars and if they have a problem their parents do not know of a reputable shop for their kid to take their car to. This is definitely one you want to have your kid take their car to to be fixed!

Customer service was awesome. They kept in constant contact with me about my car. Even with covid restrictions and Im sure a huge list if veichels to fix my car was taken care of faster than expected. The price was good and affordable. I will always bring my car here to be fixed. Its the only place that dosent charge extra for blinker fluid top off.

A great old family owned garage

They take great care of Patches. When you own an 18 year old vehicle nicknamed Patches you NEED mechanics you trust. I trust them implicitly! Make an appointment though and be patient. We are not their only loyal customers.

Thorough but quick.

Local Auto shop that has been in existence as long as I remember, only having changed their location in Springfield to a much larger space than they had originally. They have 3 service bays plus a State inspection sticker bay. Staff is both courteous and helpful, taking time to explain any problems with your vehicle and what needs to be done. Most repairs are able to be done within a week at very reasonable rates. Highly recommend Lynndale Garage. My very 1st experience with them was in 1965 when my car was hit head on by a woman trying to beat her husband home. She made an illegal left turn at an intersection with no directiondal just as I entered it. Lynndale Garage towed my car and kept all the contents in it safe until I was able to get there several days later. They also provided me free towing to a local body shop for major front-end body repairs. Have an appt. with them for next Wednesday to have some work done, as well as get my inspection done.

Honest and decent car fixing people.

The service is always prompt and courteous.To give you an idea of their prices an oil change is $29.99 and the price to replace a starter on a 2008 Kia is $341 (obviously the price will vary depending on part prices). I forgot how much the inspection cost but it was around $20 or so. They did not charge me anything for diagnostics twice which was very nice of them!I believe they offer a AAA discount 10% (up to $50) check your AAA membership and ask Lyndale Garage about it.They offer a quick and thorough inspection on Saturdays (I believe 8am to noon?) which is convenient. There is a yellow line on the right side as you pull up to the garage, just park in that line and wait your turn (it may be beneficial to keep your car running so its warmed up and the engine runs smoothly).They dont work on weekends which I think is loss of good business asthat is the best time to bring your car in for problems so as it doesnt interfere with your Mon-Fri job. Having searched for mechanics who work on weekends, there are very few out there, this is a prime opportunity to capture all of the weekend customers in the area. The money might even offset hiring a weekend mechanic and service person?I cant speak about the mechanics as Ive never interacted with them, but the woman who answers the phone sometimes and Dan at the front desk are always a pleasure to speak with!Overall I am very happy with this place, it seems like a family run business that wont rip you off like some shady car places. Definitely give them a try next time your car is acting up.

My family has been going to Lyndale for over 30 years. I remember going there when I was little and feeling right at home. They are smart about all types of cars, honest, and great to work with. When my moms transmission on her car went, they gave her an honest estimate on the amount it would cost to fix the car...and they said she should probably not spend the money and trade it in instead. They are HONEST.I currently live in Richmond VA and when I was estimated $1,700 worth of work to be done with my car I called Lyndale and asked for their advice. They told me to go get a second opinion. When I went to another local mechanic down here they estimated me at $250.I feel really lucky to be a customer here. I know they take care of their customers. Go here, you wont regret it!

Went for an inspection...what a pleasant, patient and helpful young lady handling the emissions. I got there after she had her last car scheduled and she squeezed me...Im so thankful. Took the time to explain the process to me. Sorry I didnt retain her name but grateful none the less. Ill be looking for you next year

Very respectable employees and know what they are doing get you in inspect your car thoroughly like all inspection stations should do thats why we go there every year for the past 16 years and will keep going...

I had a serpentine belt go on my 2017 ford taurus with 40000 miles on it. It was a belt failure, they could have easily jacked the price up usually they fail because something else broke. They were wonderful not ripping me off. I would easily go to them again. They even gave me a ride to drop off my loaner car and brought me back to the shop.

Been going to this garage for three generations.They have always been up front, honest, and work to do the job for the least amount of money. After using them for almost 40 years, every once in a while something will not be done exactly right. They take care of it right away.Their charges are reasonable and in line with other mechanics.The comment above that states they do work without asking first could not be further from my experience. They will do EXACTLY what you ask of them. They will tell you if they find something, but they have never gone beyond our instructions without checking first.Not only would I recommend them, I HAVE sent them customers. Its like taking my car or truck to family.

My daughter is a college student and had a tail light out. She went there for a bulb. Of course it wasn’t just the bulb... after speaking with Dan in between speaking with my daughter he gave us his professional honest opinion on how to handle this !! I can’t thank him enough and in the future it’s nice to know while our daughter is away at school we can rely on them in the future if needed.

We had my sons car towed there for service. They gave us an estimate for the repairs. The repair was done in a reasonable amount of time. We received the AAA discount on the labor. The car runs well now. We had never been there for service previously. We will go there again.

Had my car towed in and expected to get an estimate BEFORE repairs were done; wasnt told the cost until AFTER the repairs were done. If Id known the issue was substantial enough to cost $300+ then I wouldve had my car re-towed to my usual mechanic. Im never going here again.
