Mike and Ben get 7 stars (out of 5) for their expertise in moving the refrigerator into our second level kitchen. They expertly and expeditiously installed all of the drawers, shelves, racks and filters and provided information about the unit. Very professional team!!

Marlon Lopez was very helpful and professional. He is the nicest and friendliness salesman I’ve ever worked with on appliances. He helped me to pick out my refrigerator, range, microwave, and dishwasher. He provided all the rebate paperwork. When I realized the refrigerator I ordered was too tall for the space, Marlon went above and beyond to search for one that would fit. After further discussions with a friend, I decided to have the cabinet removed to accommodate the new refrigerator.The crew who installed my appliances was super knowledgeable. They went to work to install my appliances right away. They were friendly and helpful to show me how to use my new appliances. They were careful not to scratch my floor.I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Marlon Lopez and the installation crew. Bray & Scarff did a wonderful job and I will be recommending them to family and friends. Thank you Bray & Scarff.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! If I could leave less than zero stars I would. Purchased a Jenn Air refrigerator and extended service policy that with tax totaled $5885 on 5/13/2021. It was delivered on 5/15/2021 and quit working on Monday 5/17/2021. As of today I still do not have a working refrigerator. The Springfield store manager Jason, who told me at the time of purchase to call him if there is ever a problem has done nothing other than pass the buck to the service department, acts like he doesnt want to talk to me and that he is doing me a favor when he does. There has been zero follow up from him or anyone in the service department unless I call. I agreed to purchase the extended service policy because Jason told me if I purchased it and if there was a problem with the refrigerator they would replace it not repair it. Today after I called their service department ( god forbid that they would call me and give an update or communicate to me anything about whats going on after 9 days) Im being told parts are on order and they could take 10 days to receive. I guess they have never heard of an overnight shipping service. I made the decision to shop local vs. a big box store because I believed I would get better service. I WAS WRONG. I completely understand that things happen and that they didnt build the product but what sets good companies apart from the rest is how they handle a problem if it happens. This company has failed miserably and based on the attitudes I have encountered are undoubtedly less favorable to deal with than a big box store. Other than the service scheduling department lady (who was quite pleasant) that Jason passed me off to, there has been zero follow up or communication from anyone in charge. They took my money and now that there is a problem no one seems to care. I can not understand how a company can treat a situation and customer like this. I am not asking for anything unreasonable, I just want someone to pick up the phone and communicate what is going on and make me feel like I spent my money with a competent organization. They have not and at this point I highly doubt that they will. Good luck if you buy something from them and there is a problem, because you will get the same treatment Im sure5/29 after 2 weeks of no refrigerator they have agreed to replace my unit. Of course they do not have another one in stock so they agreed to pick up the defective one and leave a loaner (a loaner that the store manager emphatically lied and told me they do not do due to “COVID”.)Also per the Bray and Scarff response to my 1st part of this review, I emailed Nichole Williams from their “Customer Escalation” department on Wednesday 5/26 and have yet to hear from her. So clearly that is more lip service . The Service Manager Nick has been the only one that has called and he set up the loaner which I have posted a picture of below. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth but they should be embarrassed to send this refrigerator to someone’s house. I have also included a picture of the refrigerator I purchased. Hardly a comparable replacement. Not sure what I was expecting but this wasn’t it but at this point I’m reluctantly grateful for anything.

Marlon was helping me pick the right refrigerator and without his help I probably would’ve picked the wrong size he really took the time to make sure I was getting the correct size refrigerator. And the delivery went very smooth and the gentlemen who delivered the refrigerator were exceptional. All around an exceptional experience.

Well—I went here twice in last six months.The first time I was told they had no microwaves in stock, would need to order. Okay, understood, though they’re weren’t outgoing to help to help me buy a microwave.Today=ugh.I went in planning on spending a lot (for me) for washer/dryer combo. Again, I was the only customer, and someone of the four associates hollered “Can I help you, m’am?” I said “Yes, washer and dryer,” but by then I was ghosted.I had to go up to service counter twice to get questions answered.Do you want my purchase, or not?!

I wanted to replace a range and range hood with a fan in a rental property. I live over 500 miles from the property so I thought this was going to be difficult. I found Bray&scarff listed under appliance stores and they had very favorable reviews. I contacted them and Alysha a sales associate made a perfect recommendation. We concluded the transaction flawlessly and within three days everything was installed with the old items removed. The tenets were very pleased and I thought the new range looked excellent in the kitchen complimenting the other appliances.

I have had a terrible experience trying to buy a stove. I found places such as Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy not to be helpful. I tried to order a stove twice in the customer service I received from two of these places was beyond horrible. It was recommended I try bray and scarf. I was worried about extra charges with delivery but Marlon talked to me on the phone and explained everything including a rebate I would be getting. When they didn’t have the stove I ordered in stock, he offered two other suggestions, explained them to me, and is having them delivered this week! He showed patience with me and knowledge of the product. I will be going back to the store in the future, near future, for other needs I have for my home.

My wife and I visited Bray & Scarff to look for a new refrigerator. Marlon helped us pick out a Whirlpool model and we scheduled a delivery. I was emailed a confirmation and reminder the night before. The day of the delivery, I was given a courtesy call when they were 10 minutes away from my house. Ben and Jeff ended up delivering the refrigerator. They unpacked it and installed it quickly and efficiently. They were both adhering to covid-19 precautions by wearing masks. Ben and Jeff were polite and professional in all aspects of the delivery. I would not hesitate to buy another appliance from this location.

This was my first time shopping with Bray and Scarff and it was a really great experience. The sales associate who helped me, Marlon, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We had been looking at dishwashers online but we were unaware that the dimensions of space were not large enough for a standard dishwasher. Marlon helped us find some options that would fit and had answers for all our questions about what would work best for our kitchen. Our sales rep. Jason, was totally professional and knowledgeable about all the appliances we needed to see. He was not pushy or aggressive, but rather very pleasant to deal with. He listened and then showed us the options available. The result was that we purchased all five major appliances for our kitchen. In addition, the Springfield showroom was immaculate. Even in this time of manufacturing and transportation delays, Jason was able to accommodate our needs, including faster delivery times than competitors could perform. We are glad we decided to visit Bray & Scarff for our appliance needs.

My search for a dishwasher was much more frustrating than it should have been. Finally I decided to call Bray and scarf. I was very pleased that this decision ended with speaking to a customer service rep with out having to go through voicemail. He was very knowledgeable of the products on hand what was available and delivery schedules. I ended up with a dishwasher that had all the features I wanted at a price that was within my budget. I highly recommend pray and scarf to my friends and will be a repeat customer.

I had researched previously but because of my past experiences with Bray and Scarff, I was interested in purchasing from them. Jason and I chatted about the appliances I was interested. He sent me the appropriate links and answered my questions. We set up an appointment to come into the store to see the items in person. After seeing the Washer and Dryer, asking more questions, I made the purchase and a delivery date was set for the following week. This was a very pleasant and easy experience. Jason, Springfield Store Manager - has been completely awesome through our whole, long process.Wayne & Trey (Installation team) were practically magicians, they had quite literally Only 1/8” clearance for this fridge to get through our front door, they made it look second nature- no joke impressive.Only knock one star because of scheduling and delay issues- seems the delivery scheduling dept is struggling a bit at this time. That’s all I need to say about it, - and that I hope they improve a bit. I will also say it was an unusual experience- I have bought many appliance from them over the years.

We had a great experience with purchasing a new dishwasher. Salesman was very professional, helpful and not pushy. However, getting our rebate has been way too much trouble. I will update when it gets resolved and we receive our rebate.UPDATE: Receiving our update required attempting to complete the form multiple times online only to find out that the location code was invalid. Then we sent the receipt which was rejected because “it didn’t show all four corners.” We uploaded again ... and again ... and again. It was finally accepted after two more calls to the rebate company. I genuinely think they hope people just give up.In conclusion, Bray and Scarff was good, installation was good, dishwasher is fantastic... but the company that handles the rebates deserves zero stars. Updated to four stars.

I walked into the Springfield store with a very difficult and timely project on a very set budget with the added complication of living out of town. Marlon and Dimktar on 2 different occasions were both absolutely fantastic! They listened- did extra research for me- and worked very hard until we found a solution! An issue occurred with my order because of no fault of B and Scarff .... and Marlon worked on the project until he found a solution for me ....Not an easy task considering all the requirements are needed..He communicated every change in the process and was just a wonderful professional! Delivery of the range and microwave went smoothly, and the workers wore masks. Three men did the installation in less than an hour (over the range microwave takes some time to remove the old & install the new). They left no mess.The cost of the range matched or bettered anything else I looked at online, including Best Buy and Home Depot.I purchased from the new Springfield store online.I called 3 times to find out some information, and the reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the people who answered the phone were brusque at times. I feel they weren’t trained well enough by management to live up to Bray & Scarff’s usually wonderful customer service. Still, glad I could support a local business.

If I could give zero stars I would. Normally, I’m a forgiving customer. I understand people are generally just trying to do their job. I chose them because they were a local company that I thought I would be proud to support. Unfortunately their customer service is non-existent. They never return phone calls. They don’t accept responsibility for their mistakes. When I pay a lot of money for an appliance package, I expect better customer service. I will never do business with them in the future.UPDATE 31AUG20: The reply below from B&S appears to be an automatic reply. I responded to the email address provided below 10 days ago. I received excellent customer service from Marlon at the Springfield, VA store when shopping for a beverage refrigerator a few months ago. No pressure, but took time to fully answer my many questions. He was very knowledgable and helpful but we eventually chose another model offered at Best Buy. Marlon’s professionalism is the reason I went back to him when shopping for a dishwasher. I shopped around but eventually bought from him since his price (unit price + install/shipment) was pretty much the same as other stores and he took time to review several options with me. We will be n the market for a stove top and oven soon and will certainly give hime our business if pricing remains competitive.

Marlon from the Springfield location was awesome! I ordered a washing machine online that wouldn’t be delivered for a few weeks. Keep in mind, ORDERED already, DONE.. and totally ok with the original delivery date. So then, out of nowhere Marlon calls me.. He found a comparable unit for me (and a MUCH BETTER deal), and was able to get it out to me in less than a week. As a residential property manager who buys appliances for different properties on a regular basis, I can appreciate their top notch level of customer service. I definitely understand that they tend to be considered an expensive option. But WOW, their 5-STAR customer service makes it SO WORTH IT!!

Installation team didnt show. Salesmen very helpful in making a sale, but then its up to the customer to follow up to ensure delivery and installation. Also customer blamed for no show. Jason was extremely rude over the phone, which closely mirrors the yelp reviews. Go somewhere else. Save yourself!!!

Our freezer stopped working and we needed a replacement refrigerator fast. I havent purchased anything from Bray & Scarff but one recently opened in Springfield so we thought wed give them a try. WOW! I dont think Ill ever shop anywhere else for an appliance. Not only was the selection great and the prices unbeatable, but the salesman Marlon Lopez was truly amazing—very attentive but zero pressure. We had a budget and a tight timeline. We were back and forth, unable to make up our minds and he was patient, extremely kind, and bent over backwards to get us the fridge we wanted, at a great price and in a short amount of time. We are thrilled with our purchase and with Bray & Scarff and Marlon. The shopping experience was leaps and bounds above HomeDepot or Lowes and no wait time. Bray & Scarff will be the FIRST (hopefully only) place we shop for any future appliances. Theyve made a BIG fan out of me.

Horrible communication and follow through. If you must use B&S, pick a different store. Bought a SubZero fridge in early October. B&S *never* gave us any updates on delivery. I had to call them. In late October, they said it would be an early November delivery. I called again on November 9 and they said they would call when it hit the warehouse. The next day, the warehouse called my *minor* son and set up a delivery day when I was out of state (salesperson never contacted me). I called again, and reset the date for November 18. The store never answered my emails on November 17 to try to confirm a.m. or p.m. installation, nor did they call as most companies do. Today is November 18, and no fridge. Called the store and got the manager. Oh we cant deliver today and dont know when we can. A decorative stainless cover was missing from the shipment. Why cant they install the fridge as scheduled and pop on the missing piece later? Why didnt they tell me? Why am I now going to be without a fridge for Thanksgiving? Expected much better service and communication.Follow up: The store sent me an appointment for a telephone call. Alysha is great - quick and efficient customer service! My fridge broke and was beyond repair, food spoiled and needed a new fridge ASAP. I started my search at Home Depot and all of their refrigerators within my specs were on back order until October! Went into Bray expecting their prices to be extremely high given they’re a boutique store and was surprised to not only find them a couple hundred or more below Home Depot, but they had two fridges ready to deliver by this Saturday. Thanks to Alysha’s quick help and professionalism I will have a new refrigerator by this weekend.
