I am not trying to judge the work and price, I just wanted to raise this issue to see what other servicers and customers thinking, if this is a reasonable price. The issue was the pilot of fireplace didnt lit when release the knob. The technician said the pilot assembly needs to be replaced, it cost $625 including labor and parts. in 40 minutes, he finished. I asked him to write down the part number and labor hour on the receipt. He could not provide the info and said it is a flat rate. I insisted on for the info. He called the office and later provided the part number and gave me a $50 discount. The part ranges $50-120 (from Google) . If we use the average to calculate this, the labor rate is around $817 per hour. If we exclude the $149 diagnose fee, which is an expense towards the travel and all other cost, the labor is still $714 per hour. Is this a reasonable charge for a replacement of pilot? Am I missing something?
Wow! Amazing company! Had them come out to see why my Carrier ac wasnt working, it had leaked all over the furnace room. Called them and had a tech at my restaurant in 45 min. Ended up having to replace it. Had the entire unit replaced at a fair price. Would recommend.

Took my money and ran. Came out August 1, 4 hours late. Took measurements to repair a hole in furnace duct. Poked on the back of fridge that was making noise (still making the noise). Charged $150 service call- which I have a coupon to reimburse on any completed repair- BUT THEY DISAPPEARED. Never called, never came to repair anything. I have called a dozen times and they seem to have no idea who I am or what I need fixed. They put me on the phone with one technician who insisted I need a new furnace- went on about how his gauges showed I had leaks etc, but he never brought any tools inside the house. Ive called so many times and they say Ill call you back in one hour/on X day and time and NOTHING. Ive even spoken to the supervisor, whom on Saturday said hed call by 10am on Monday. Its Tuesday afternoon and I still have not heard from him. I feel they have stolen $150 from me. They say the are waiting on a part, but I doubt it takes 43 days to order a duct transition piece. At the very least, they should communicate. I had used this company in the past for appliance repairs and was satisfied. Never again. They are crooks.
