Found this place for my husband who needed repair on his zero turn mower. I spoke with Dave who was very personable. My husband dropped it off to get fixed and when he got it back it was like a brand new mower! Highly recommend for any service/repair.
Reliable and dependable. David has serviced our lawn equipment for years and has always been fair and honest. Work gets done quickly and at a very reasonable price. He fixes the problems and and doesnt tack on extras to pad the bill. When our last mowers repairs exceeded its value, David steered us to a machine right for us as a replacement. That was 10 years ago. Over the years, he has done maintenance that cant be done in the backyard. We just got our mower back after less than 24 hours. David did some repairs and maintenance and gave our mower a clean bill of health. The machine runs like it did years ago, once again!

I started going to Suncoast Equipment Repair last year. Ive been in business for 27 years. Dave is always friendly, knowledgeable and fair. He fixes my Bad Boy mower (which he also sells there) and my Toro right the first time and usually the same day. He gets me in and out and back to work as quickly as possible. I find his pricing to be more than fair also. I have complete confidence every time I bring my machines to him that they will be fixed right the first time, every time. These people are great. They take time to explain what the problem is and return your mower in great working condition. Means a lot to this little old lady.
Beware, they fixed 1 of our mowers and told my husband motor didnt sound good if it goes he cam get us a motor for $1200, that mower was ok for then. We brought our other mower in when the belt went. Took us right in fixed the belt. Got it back after 20 minutes of use the belt broke again. Paid for another belt, then got it back after 2 tiny swipes it broke again. Said mower was junk, blaghh blah. Had us bring it back they would bring replace the belt. 3rd time..mind you. Replaced belt and 2 pulleys. Guess what happened again after 20 minutes. No way would I bring it back to them. Took it somewhere else replaced belt, 3 pulleys and another thing. Worked for 2 weeks mind you 2 years no issues brand new. Get it back to find out someone loosened 2 bolts in my hydraulics which is the noise it started making after the first time we brought it to them. Finally running perfect having someone else fix it. Now my husbands mower, starts leaking seamed like the motor froze up really!!! Well some Quince it dence..lol a bolt was u loosened in my husbands oil pan I believe. Funny we thought it was the motor which they happened to mention.. beware, awful repair 4x cant fix a belt. P.s. they were using the wrong belt needed to be a Toro belt not a fly by night. 2 mowers both with bolts that came loose.. lol I think not. Just giving our experience. Not a good one at all.
I couldnt be happier! My spindles needed repair and I was quoted half the price the dealer quoted me just for parts. Turn around time was a little longer but I understand other people were there 1st. I still havent heard from the dealer on my parts at the 1st place but Im back up and running now! Thank you again Suncoast you have my business for life and will always recommend you!!
I bought my first commercial mower from Dave over 12 years ago. Have bought several more from him since. Warranty service by your dealer is the one of the most important choice in picking equipment your equipment and I can always count on Dave.
I am brand new to the Spring Hill area. Trying to establish businesses that I can trust. I am also and it recent amputee. Which makes life even more difficult. Challenging but there are things I am not able to do. I called Dave from Suncoast equipment and repair told him about my riding mower. Apprehensive because you don’t know who you are dealing with all you can do is rely on other people I gave them glowing reviews Dave was very kind in my situation. They picked up my mower. Serviced it. I had a small issue with it so it had to go back. Probably but he shouldn’t say this but he serviced it without a fee including picking it up a second time. I am so thrilled that I found somebody I can trust. These guys are the greatest from the gentleman who picked up the mower and dropped it off to Dave and his staff. I cannot say enough good about them. While I was looking at other mowers I was talking to a gentleman who told me to call Dave at Sun Belt. The way he ranted and rave I thought he may have been his brother LOL. No I don’t want you to think I am his brother. But he was everything the gentleman I was talking to was spot on. I recommend this business to anyone who has the means of using them. Thank you again guys you have no idea I appreciate everything you do for me and have done. Gold star A+ hundred percent.

Stopped in last Thursday to see when my mower can be worked on. After talking he said it was most likely the carburetor and that I could bring it in Monday. Asked when it might be done and stated just a hour or two on Monday. Went there first thing Monday and they were closed. I understand it was a holiday so went back Tuesday morning first thing. Stated I could leave it and it might not be ready for 2 to 3 weeks.
I’m a retired aircraft mechanic with a good background in troubleshooting jet engines, but with limited experience on lawn equipment.I recently had multiple system problems with my lawn tractor that were difficult for me to troubleshoot because I’m functionally blind. I made several trips to Suncoast Equipment for parts and advice. Dave and Joe were very helpful with freely sharing their knowledge with me, eventually helping me get my tractor running. What really impressed me the most was Dave’s cordial manner and his patience. Also, Dave never tried to sell me unnecessary parts along the way, as was my experience with other shops. I took my edger to him for a tune up, telling him I had already installed a new carburetor on it. He put on another new carburetor, stating that mine was from China and thus no good, though the edger had not been run with it on. I was told the float valve was worn (on a new carburetor), but when I picked it up I was given a disassembled carburetor with the float pin, float valve and gaskets missing., making it useless. I doubt it was the one I bought because some of the parts were corroded. He did get the edger running and after a phone conversation about my review, decided not to charge me for the replacement carburetor.
Called today asking if they carried OEM spindles for specific Gravely mower, he said “yes, I have many”, I even asked him if he wanted the Model/Serial for my mower, he confirmed “I have those”I asked 2 MORE times to verify he had OEM and NOT aftermarket cause the price quoted was low and asked if they were definitely OEM and NOT aftermarket AGAIN, he confirmed a 3rd time “Yes, not aftermarket, I’m an authorized Ariens (Gravely) dealer.”I drove 45 min to this location to find out they didn’t have any OEM Gravely/Ariens spindles and only had “Rotary” brand....“Dave” was the guy I spoke to over the phone, he was gone when I got there. His plan was to sell me a Rotary spindle and say it’s “OEM”.... can’t stand lying scam artist like this.Oh.... Dave, don’t bother replying to this review trying to deny the above or say it isn’t true cause it’s 100% true.
Always the best they pick up and drop off for a fee but I dont have a hitch or trailer so very convenient for me can sharpen I replace blades full service location
The guys there are great! Stopped in at lunch time with a disassembled carburetor and a few questions. One of the guys threw it together for me. At no charge. They had the gasket kit I needed on hand. Knowledgeable guys. I recommend

This place is amazing!! I tried to start my generator however it wouldnt I called up to see if I could get an opening with them and was able to drop it off the next morning, however due to huge workload they might not get to it for a week. Upon dropping the generator off the next morning they asked what was going on and listened asked a few questions and stated it sounded like an easy fix they might be able to look at it that day but they couldnt promise anything that it would probably be a week. I got a call 2 hours later stating they fixed it and I could come pick it up. I am so thankful that they were able to fix it and did so for a reasonable price!! I asked a few questions about their other products and they were very respectful, affordable and knowledgeable. I would recommend them!!!

I called regarding storing my generator for the winter. They told me exactly how much gas & how much stabilizer to put in the machine.. they then told me to run it for 5-10 minutes & it should be ready to go next hurricane season. .I appreciated his help

I am writing this review for my dad, as he wanted to be sure a review was added! He had an issue with his riding mower and after calling several places and being told it would be weeks before it could even be looked at, he found Suncoast Equipment Repair. David talked with him and said to bring it right in and he would check it out. They did say they would need about 3 days to get to it checked out. Surprisingly enough David called the next day saying it was running and ready to be picked up. Customer service is so rare these days and finding a company that not only talks to customers, but, goes over and beyond deserves to be recognized! He will definitely be going back and suggests everyone else do too!

One thing that I can say Joe and the guys at Suncoast Equipment Repair have taught me a few things......if you think your lawn equipment is broken before buying new or throwing give them the chance to look at it, you may save yourself a lot more money with just a simple part.....they are good at finding the part you need, and the price may be in your ballpark,,,, plus a clean shop and courteous service keeps you coming back... no problem too big or small...I recommend them

I really must take my hat off to this repair shop, shop foreman called me every step of the way for the repair of my mower had me come in to take a look at it before committing further due to the age of the mower and the condition advised me every step of the way of cost and expense which way it could be before I invested more in, Had a horrible experience with Holiday mower Got taken advantage of on a purchase in Sun Coast equipment had nothing to do with it but did everything in their power to help me through the process phenomenal place to do business up front no games I have found my home front !

The gentleman @ the counter was wonderful. He was taking my lawn mower in for service, when this other guy came in & said no they couldnt take it. So after my grandson had already unloaded it. I was worried when I read the reviews, but decided to go ahead after I expressed my concern to them. I was told they knew about the poor review and had taken steps to fix the issue. I will give them 5 stars for both customer service and riding lawn mower repair. I had zero issues and the mower works fine. I will be repeat customer.
Ive had many great experiences with these guys. Ive come in with broken equipment and they have fixed it in a timely manners. Theyve sharpened my blades on the spot and changed them out.

I have used this shop twice now, with no problems.The shop may not be overly clean or jovial, (its a mower shop) but they were professional with their work. I felt I was charged a fair amount for the work that was done, without getting dinged with a bunch of little add-on charges as is customary at many of the other mechanical work shops in the area. On both occasions they had my repairs completed in 2-3 days, I have waited 2-3 weeks at a couple of other shops in the Spring Hill and Land O Lakes area.
I only do my business here in spring hill, hard working guys and get me what I need . Way more friendly and real than anywhere else in spring hill! Kurt is a great business man!
The gentleman that was helping me was very knowledgeable about Troy-Bilt and he was able to get me a belt that I needed to fix my lawn mower he was helpful courteous clean inside I would recommend this to anyone that would want to go into a place and not get taken by someone trying to sell just something this year, was honest about it if he didnt know he was more than happy to take a picture bring it to him so he can take a look he was very helpful

Reviews dont lie. Really wish I would have checked them first. Bring a mower in for a problem. Get quoted a higher-than-expected price but own up to the repairs needed and pay the premium to have the mower perfect. Problem reoccurs after a week and owner will not own up to problem and is trying to charge for parts and labor and have us deliver a part. Not to mention the price increasing after the fact due to having more time than quoted for. Shockingly similar to a lot of the reviews and experiences that other people have had.. unfortunately not just a coincidence. Bad Business, avoid at all cost.

The owner is EXTREMELY rude!. I only called requesting verification for a previous employee for my employer and from the moment the phone was answered he was just extremely nasty. The last thing that was said by him before I hung up the phone was Nope, I dont care to do it. At that point I realized Id get no where and I just have never spoken to someone in my life, especially an owner of the business, where they were that rude. Im in disbelief honestly. I would never take my business where the actual owner is that level of disrespectful. I wouldnt even give 1 start if I had the option!

Very unprofessional. First time around they couldnt find anything wrong with mower and gave back to us, yet still had same problem of not starting. Second time around its been 2+ weeks and our mower hasnt even been looked at! Each call is oh your next your next. Tell me how they are so quick to take in orders yet dont think about the time needed to work on them! Do not accept them if its going to take a month to have it fixed!!!! Or even LOOKED at! I will no longer try to give this place a chance.
Today was my first time in this store, Im a forman of a local property management service (C.Q.S). Me and my coworker came for some new zero-turn blades and some edger blades, the two men at the desk were very quick to help me but not just that they were very informative and social, and when I was waiting on my coworker to arrive I was asking questions about equipment I havent seen before and they graciously told me everything I needed to know about it even giving me great deal on equipment thats high end. Also their location is very convenient being in the heart of Spring Hill, I noticed they had a very wide selection of everything you need when it comes to property Management or maintenance. All in all these guys have integrity and my trust, souly because they were informative about everything I looked at along with some friendly conversations. They have what you need, thanks again guys!

Dont take your equipment here useless you want to get shafted. They did my repairs with used parts of a different brand which is unsatisfactory, then said they had thrown my old parts away and could not give them back. I now have a under warranty piece of equipment I cannot use. What jerk owns this business? Bad business practices. Beware.. I want to talk to the owner of this business.

I brought a chain saw from a person on let-go brought it to check it out Suncoast equipment they checked it out and chainsaw was no good it would cost me more money to repair it then to buy a new one a bunch of great guys to help you out and not take your money.

This is the worth place you can deal with. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CRUCKS AND REALLY DISHONES PEOPLE THEY ARE THIFT STAY AWAT FROM THIS PLACE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY FOR A WORK THAT IS NOT EVEN GOOD. They are rude and they add to the price. I had taken my lawnmower back to them because they didnt fix it correctly. All of the sun they are telling me that it needs a new Carburetor and a new filter, when I ask why they told me because its been a year and I left gas on the mower. I told them that since they fix the mover last year I was unable to use it and because I work in Tampa it is really hard to bring the mower back to them. If I pay for a new Carburetor and a new filter last year and the mower was not use how is that the mover needs a new one again. they are a BUNCH OF CRUCKS AND REALLY DISHONEST PEOPLE. BUNCH OF THEAF AND RUDE. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY WITH OUT A CARE IN THE WORD.... NEVER, NEVER,NEVER AGAIN........
This is ridiculous I asked yesterday for overnight freight was told it wasnt necessary no answer on phone all day and there closed at 4 even though it says 5. I understand its a holiday weekend thats why I asked for overnight yesterday.
I can not believe the comments on these reviews. I called Suncoast Equipment last year to buy a Bob Cat Zero turn mower because you can only get them through a dealer (which he has applied to be) anyway, I talked with Kirk, the owner. Not only was he very helpful in helping me pick out a mower for me, he delivered it to my front door. Free of charge!! I live in Homosassa and it is approx. 20 miles from his shop maybe a little bit more. He had to use his own car trailer to get it to me because it has a 72 cutting deck and would not fit on a regular trailer. He was very nice and was not threating or mean or hateful as the previous customers have stated. He made sure I could work the mower before he left. I even went and bought my daughter and her husband a John Deere tractor mower for their house for Christmas from him, had to hagger a bit on the price but we came to terms. They are very happy with it and it works great. I have been in his shop a few times since and have always been treated with respect and I will continue to get my lawn equipment from him. I hope anyone that reads these reviews will at least give him a chance and see for yourself what kind of a business owner he is.
I go to this establishment to pick up my pressure washer on a day that happened to be raining and I get told by an old bald guy Is that your car backed up right there? (had it backed up so i can put the pressure washer in my trunk and not get soaked in the rain) He demands I move it and says thats what the lines are for (parking lines). So I go outside to move the car in the rain.. The thing that gets me is the fact there was no other people in the parking lot besides me, so why was my parking such a problem? I would avoid this unprofessional business at all cost. They should really reconsider their rude staff.. especially the bald guy.
They told me it would cost $38 to put a fuel line on a chainsaw.when I went to pick it up they charged me another $42. They said it took longer than they thought? Will never do business with this company again and I dont think anyone else should either.
I had a very bad and frightening experience with the owner, Kirk Wilson. At some point I felt I would have to call the police. My troy built mower was having issues only two years after I bought it from Lowes-still having the same problems now after being repaired. Please be aware that if you purchase an extended warranty from Lowes, they are contracted out to this aggressive, nasty, uninformative, rude, well do what we want repair company. Problem: I work late- I simply asked to have them pick up the mower in the afternoon. He arrived at 7am. I had the key on the seat of my mower. He pulls up, takes my mower, started it. No sign on the truck. Lowes never told me who would be picking up my mower- I thought it would be Lowes. I entered my front yard. I stated to the guyI guess they didnt inform you that I requested later hours. He mentioned that he didnt have any later hours for pick-ups and its a damn good thing your mower is actually running because I had to push the previous one up the ramp. OK! Starting off good so far... Please keep in mind, I had no idea who this was- what company-what person-nothing! He drove the mower up into his trailer. I asked some common questions and he physically started to remove my mower from the trailer. I finally asked who are you and he leans over the trailer and screams into my face in my own front yard in front of neighbors, Im the owner of the company and I can do whatever I want. I truley thought he was going to assault me. I asked for his business card so I would know who not to call in the future. I should have called the police, but I have a history of blood clots and a heart attack and am on numerous medications. I am at a point where I cannot protect myself or my family in my weaken state. I called Lowes stating that I felt this guy would purposely create further damage and I have to initiate a lawsuit regarding his threating demeanor. They took the mower, still didnt fix it. So much for Lowes warranty plan. Got it back from Lowes and it still doesnt work properly! Please be very aware regarding Kirk Wilson-the owner of Suncoast Equipment. He is one out of control, mean spirted, rude, nasty, insecure, on the attack, aggressive, therapy needing businessmen I ever met. Thanks for your time. Please dont call him, you will be very sorry.

Ripped off!!! Mower will not start! Brought in before season for the same reason twice. Spent a couple of hundred dollars to go and start it this past weekend and will not turn over again.
Very rude owner! Goes on the attack if you ask anything and makes it seem like its you with the problem. Reading past reviews proves this is an on going issue with this guy.
