Had a super random request and Harley did AMAZING. Plan in going back to her again!

I really wanted an up to date, fun style and got a 70s ABBA reject cut instead! I am very wary of hair cuts to begin with and this just solidified all my previous hesitations. So sad and cried all the way home!!

Out of state visitor searching for beautician to do African American natural hair. After searching for weeks, from home and here, with no success, I recalled having Raven at JCP salon do my hair a couple years ago. I attempted to book her, but she was booked two weeks out. I went to location, showed receptionist what I was looking for and booked an appointment with someone else . Upon arrival, I explained to the stylist that I was wearing a Freeze, a finger wave performed with gel and a rattan comb. I told her that if she thought she could not do it, just wash, flatiron and curl. She said ok. She thought she could. I brought my own gel because in the past Ive had problems locating Black hair products. Good thin because they were out of gel.. End result, hair was a total mess. She molded it down, (not a tight molt, thick and uneven). She used a wave brush for some design in the back. She thought and kept saying how nice it was. Sat me under the dryer and kept coming back saying it was dry. It takes a good 45 minutes to an hour for my hair to dry. Not once did she feel it, after the third time I just said ok. She asked if I wanted to use the mirror to see the back. I told her, no need. Judging the look from the front, I knew how the back looked. I paid her the $40 and left. When my ride picked me up, she said, thats horrible. Did you pay for thst? That was the response I got from anyone I saw here, and the people I sent the picture to at home. I paid her because she really tried. Took an hour alone trying to mold it. But, from jump, I told her IF you cannot do it., just wash, flatiron and curl.

So, I totally did a ponytail haircut on myself, and well... butchered it. I normally dont do it this short... which ended up with me going here. The staff was so kind enough to assess my hair and squeeze me in for a cover up (as I call it). I had Harley, and she was so good she fixed my ugly chunk of hair that needed to be layered properly. My hair now doesnt look like a bad tattoo and now looks professional! Harley did it with only a small amount of time given due to squeezing me in, and it was not rushed to be honest. Thank you to everyone who allowed me to be seen at a moment notice! Heads up to those wanting any services, go ahead and call to make an appointment to ensure they are available!

I went there to get a hair color and balayage. Also when I make a appointment for that they said they will put me to highest level which is charged more and I said okay because in my mind I thought that’s good because she is a master she will do really good. But get what? I want my blond balayage but it was turn yellow and orange:(. I was not happy about that for at all, because I pay $190 for that but it wasn’t turn good at all. And then I called back to ask she fixed it and then I went back there a next day . She was tones to cancel that yellow and orange, but after 1 hour it was still turn yellow and green and orange again😡. After that she had another client waiting for her so she asked her manager came talk to me. Her manager told me that you can come back next week she can fix that.... I told her that she did my hair twice but it wasn’t turn right color what I want at all and I said I was really disappointed but the manager doesn’t say anything at all, she just say come back she will fix for you that is it. The hairstylist didn’t say any sorry to me even she did twice to my hair and never turned right and the manager didn’t say sorry for that at all. If they say sorry about that, that will make I feel little better but they didn’t 😡. I was wasted $190 for ugly hair color at this place, and I will never never come back there again. They are not professional at all. Even it was 3 weeks ago happened but now I am still so mad about that. 😡

I asked for a express cut. I did NOT get my hair washed, dried or styled. It was literally just a quick cut. They charged me $40. Although the weekend before I had brought my daughter in and was charged $22. She informed me that they have recently changed pricing. Im sorry, but for a cut it should never cost that much!

Barely washed my hair. Did all right on the haircut though.

I got Spencer as a hair stylist and he is AMAZING! He is great at hair and conversation. 10/10 would recommend him.

I had my hair trimmed by Taylor and she was great!! She was very welcoming and professional, held a conversation well. I only wanted a trim and she cut just the right amount! It was my first time here and I didn’t know how much I was going to like it, but I’ll definitely be back!! Reasonable prices for the service she provided 😊😊

Came in for hair cut and I brow wax. None of of the services are done right.Lets just say I dont think Ill be back anytime soon.

Haircut came out great. There were very friends lady’s that work there. The wait was longer than normal but most likely due to the grouchy customer not getting her way. But over all, I highly recommend.

I came in with bangs in the perfect cut, just too long and asked for a trim. I was sat down with a nice lady but she didnt even ask what I wanted. She decided to layer my straight across bangs... without saying thats what she was doing. I have fine hair so now I look like a 5 year old left alone with scissors. If you like your hair do not go to the salon at jcpenny.

I had bright blue hair and wanted to take it out for a natural brunette color. Crystal hooked me up. I absolutely love my hair. It was a fun and professional environment. I am definitely going back 😊

Did an awesome job doing a fun color job on my 12 and 10 yr old daughters. Other local salons quoted $150 and up per girl and JCP was waaaay more reasonable. Girls love their hair and I loved the price. Would definitely go back.

Kinda hit or miss here they either do a great job or a terrible job.

I’ve been going here since I was a kid. Always loved the service and quality of my hair cuts and colors. The people here are nice and friendly. A little pricy, but the results are amazing.

I got my hair trimmed and it took the lady an hour. She didn’t wash my hair and it came out uneven! Never coming here again!!!!!
