The employees at this Francis location are absolute Angels!! They were able to get me in right away and were very kind and honest about my cars issues. Got me in and back on the road quickly. Scheduling the appointment was easy. They were right on schedule; virtually no wait. Friendly, helpful staff. Inspected the brakes which were squeaking a bit. Assured me they were fine and told me I probably could get at another 10,000 miles out of them. No charge for the inspection and they didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Ill definitely go back with this car and my other vehicles.

Went in only for an alignment was told needed other work/parts in order to get a proper alignment. Costed way more than expected, parts price doubled. After they finished they told me I needed new tires in order for alignment to be fixed properly bought new tires all the way around. Then was told I had other issues casing car to pull to one side. After SPENDING WAY MORE than I wanted my vehicle is still not fixed. 95 caprice . Nolan wakan .

I want to thank Corey for all that he was able to help me. I had Golden Rule on Francis do my front breaks on my Ford Ranger a few months back. I ended up having problems with the right front caliper coming loose and damaging my tire and rim. I was not aware it was a caliper problem so I initially took to Les Schab to have them just replace the tire. They discovered the caliper and had me call Golden. When I talked to Corey, he instantly had my truck towed to them and they fixed the caliper, replaced the rim with a brand new rim and since my tires were still fairly new and no longer being made, they replace all 4 tires. They definitely back their work and do good for their customers.

Stopped in to get brakes and rotors replaced on my wife’s car. I was told within 10 min that I was in no need for brakes or rotors. I couldn’t be more impressed with this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

They were awesome! So helpful with our unusual request. We needed to repack a wheel bearing that literally broke off the car so we couldnt bring them the whole car. We will definitely be back to them for the alignment.

Glad I went to Golden Rule on Francis. Went to get my brakes checked. They told me my front brakes were fine and my back brakes were down to 15%. So they were able to replace them while I was there and it took less than an hour. Will definately return in the future!

Dean went above and beyond with our brake issue. Straight forward, honest, fast, and kept communication open. I will definitely be taking all of my vehicles here for all my brake and suspension needs. Update: Just had the front end rebuilt on my 1988 S10....not only did they give me a discount for having all the work done at once....they found another issue with a bearing during the rebuild.....and they fixed it without having to charge me more money. Once again super honest, checked everything and fixed something that could have cost me a ton of money if it were another brake place. Dropped my car off today to have my brakes looked at. My rear brakes were metal to metal and making horrible sounds. They had my car finished quickly and very reasonably priced. Under $500. Totally my fault for not bringing my car in earlier to change the pads. Was a good shop. Did what was asked. Tried to up sell me on shocks that werent bad. Not the most friendy shop around. Their service was far priced and havent had any issues with the work they did. Not a full service shop if thats what you need

I made an appointment with Golden Rule convinced that I had strut that had leaked and needed to be replaced. They got me in right away, listened carefully, then removed the wheels and checked very thoroughly not only the one in question but all four areas. Cory invited me to look with him and he gave me a thorough walk through with the conclusion that there was no leak and nothing was needed. Both men were top-notch. I was amazed that this was all done for free. You are very much appreciated, gentlemen and Golden Rule!

I need to update my review after receiving a call from the owner. He was very concerned about my 2 star review. I am impressed with his candor and interest in resolving any issues I may have had. Totally worth the five-star review. I felt the prices were high. I was so sticker shocked at first I didnt take into consideration that I have been my own mechanic since I was 16 and never paid for someone elses service. Golden Rule Brake is right in the middle of their competition. So I have to be fair and realize that not all people can fix their own stuff so if you have to pay someone. Use Golden Rule Brake just for their integrity alone. Cant put a price on that! 😎👍

I had an issue with my brakes squeaking took my vehicle in and the technician found my brakes were still good but I had other issues. He repaired the issues but 2 weeks later my brakes were still squeaking really bad. I spoke to the Asst. Manager and explained my situation and he said to bring it back. Confirmed brakes still were good but they did a thorough job cleaning and doing some other minor adjustments and now my car is squeak free at no extra charge. These guys will get my business again!

Took my minivan in and had them replace the rear shocks. I also had them look at my front struts. They were awesome to talk with on phone when they called me to discuss what they found with the front struts. The gentleman I talked with said something like I dont see signs they need replacing...its recommended to replace at 100,000 miles. Your van is at 130,000 miles. And if you are having a hard ride then it would be a good idea to replace them just because of that issue. Otherwise I wouldnt recommend replacing them. I had them replaced and what a difference. The van sits up higher, soft and smooth ride now...like a new minivan. Thanks Golden Rule for your honesty and good talk on the phone.Side note, I bought the van a year ago and I knew there was something wrong with the front end because of the hard ride and everyone didnt think it was a strut issue because they werent leaking. Makes me wonder if the dealership I bought it from wiped all the grease off and the struts ran all the grease out?

Been taking my vehicles to Golden Rule for a few years. Recently with one rig I took in needed brakes and rotors. It had had front brake pads a year earlier and they had worn unexpectedly fast. Golden rule comp’d the cost of the new pads on the front. Also, took in a used truck I had just bought and asked for a brake inspection. They didn’t recommend any unneeded services, and let me know that the pads were over 50%, and the brake system looked like it was in great shape.

Dropped off my sons truck and they said they could not find the brake booster any where in Spokane. We picked up the truck and ordered the part at Auto Zone. If you didn’t want our business then just say that Don’t Lie!!! How Rude and unprofessional

Extremely satisfied with the service I received. Took my old Chevy Suburban in to get an inspection and address some concerns. They figured out pretty quick what was going on, and called me to go over everything. Price was very fair for the amount of work they did and they even took care of some stuff I fixed previously. Highly recommend and will go back, the next time I need something repaired.

So not knowing much about cars and knowing there was something wrong with my brakes I stopped in to golden rule brake hoping they would take good care of me like the commercials say. They did not. They first quoted me 1600 dollars for all of it which I couldn’t afford. So then to just get the front brakes done rotors pads calipers they charge 660. Which I could barely afford but ended up paying. So there was 1000 dollars left from the quote they gave me. I took it to Subaru for a second opinion today and all the work they said I needed was 200 not the 1000 quoted from golden rule. I will never go to golden rule brake again I will never recommend it they rip you off especially a girl like me not knowing much. I recommend the Subaru service place hands down 1000 percent for all your car needs!

They take advantage of people and charge way to much. They are the devil. They say theyre good people. They are not never give them a dime and go anywhere else.

This place is great. I saw 3 different staff members interact with customers and all of them were courteous and knowledgeable. The customer service is off the charts. The quality of work and speed was great. The person I assume was the manager (Josh maybe?) gave a great nearby food recommendation and was nice to my 2 year old son giving him fresh chalk to draw with. This was an expensive trip (not because of the shop, because of what I had done), but I did not walk away with sticker shock like happens so often with car repair. I had a pleasant experience and got done what I needed within a few hours. A+. Will be back.

I took my car in to have them take a look at the breaks and the steering. My car was making a loud noise when I would brake and when I would steer. It turned out that I had a rock stuck and that was causing the noise. I was in and out of there in under 30 minutes. When I asked what the cost would be they would not charge me anything. When I am in need of future services, I will definitely take my car to Golden Rule Brake. I felt that after reading other reviews I could trust them...I was right. They will earn all my applicable business because of their integrity, customer focus, and willingness to help.

I was quoted for a complete brake job and after dropping off the car I was called back and given a higher price. Naturally I felt upset but decided to read other reviews. I found the number of Dallas and decided to give him a call. He listened to my side of the story and after talking with the shop he called me right back. We went over all the price differences and came to a fair agreement for us both. I ended with a much better fix and felt good about the my car. Most importantly Dallas called me, listened to my side and was more than fair helping me out. For that I give him a lot of respect and will not hesitate to return and share my store.

$750 for a full front brake job. Still had grinding noises after the job. Wanted to charge more to fix when I brought the car back because it wasnt making that sound when I brought it in so it had to be something else. Modern day thieves.

My brakes have been squealing for a long time and I even went to three different company’s that all told me there was nothing wrong. Golden Rule Brake took the time to do a thorough inspection and determined that all I needed was a little lubrication on the back of the brake pads to stop the vibration. I brought my car here to get a free brake checkup and estimate. They did a good job at that but they broke a wheel stud on my car and would not replace it without me paying, furthermore they gave me an $1,800 estimate on a $400 or 500 dollar fix then continued to tell me they could not fix my brake problems because no one supplied my parts. Worst shop in the Spokane area. I took my car in for a squeaky break. They quoted me 2100 dollars and found all sorts of things that they said needed to be fixed. I then took my car to the dealer and they fixed my car for 500 dollars. The mechanic at the dealer told me that this shop is known for taking advantage of people. He continued to tell me that most everything that they said needed to be fixed was just fine. Do not take your car here under any circumstance.

Discount Tire bent something lifting my car, and not only did Golden Rule get it all fixed for me, they also replaced my front brakes and rotors that really needed it all the same day! Their customer service is excellent, too.

They did an amazingly fast and great job on my wifes Rav4. Very professional and trustworthy people to do business with. Was referred by Discount Tire and happy. Will bring my 2 other cars in to them when needed.

My wife needed a break job on a 2001 jeep cherokee and got a quote of roughly 1400 dollars. When we went to get the jeep back because I was not paying that price, they had removed the old brakes without the okay to start the job. We drove the jeep to another shop, with no brakes and got our entire brake system replaced for 531 dollars. Yep, almost a 1/3 of the price. Would not recommend.

First off I didnt even go in . Say what you want but I Called and got quoted $400 for them to fix 1 brake line, Then bleed the brakes.

I went in for an alignment they found worn parts, so I went home replaced the parts then went back and the alignment was done in no time . drives much better . thanks guys! They offered to replace parts but I prefer to do all the things I can my self. How ever Im sure this team would do an excellent job from what I have seen.

Brought my car in to get fixed because it was shaking as I drove alot. They showed me the problem, gave me a fair bill and it was done in just a few hours. Car drives great again and the staff is friendly and personable. Will definitely bring my car the next time I have trouble. :)

Golden Rule Brake on Francis saved me a lot of work, and corrected an issue that was caused by another place. My caliper pins had been over-tightened and couldnt be removed. They managed to get them off the vehicle and replaced them in a very short time for a very reasonable price! Thank you Josh! (and your folks at GRB Francis!)

Cant say enough good things about these guys. Over-the-top service every single time Im in, and these guys do whatever it takes to work with you. On several occasions Ive taken it in to have them take a look, and they make sure everything is working tops, and have even fixed a few things without charge.By far the cheapest prices around, as well. They know what theyre doing, and I cannot recommend them enough.

After years of working with in the labor/service industry I am a hard person to gain trust from.My 1984 Thunderbird is quiet an odd ball, young at heart only 80k miles, but old on the outside. Golden rule brake on francis was my first and only phone call to get my brakes repaired. They were fast, communicated very well, thorough in their job, and reasonable on price. While they might not be the least expensive they took the time to talk about price options, and narrow down the repairs needed to get me up and running.All in all one of the best repair shops I have been too. It actually was the little thing, when I first walked in they said Hows your morning going Gavin before ever talking to me in person, they listened over the phone and made me feel like an actual customer. Small details go a long ways.Would recommend Golden rule every day of the week. Thanks again guys, most appreciative.

Do not by any means park in there parking lot and run next door. I was gone literally two minutes and it was after Golden rule break closed and they had nelsons there and had my car up within two minutes literally. It cost this single mother over 150 for him to drop it because he technically already lifted the rear tires sligltly off the ground before I got out there. On a Friday. So either cough up half my electric bill or pay huge impound fees. Yepp I totally get it. Dont park where posted Golden rule break customers only. And then go to the place next door. But that made me say I will never ever go there or recommend anyone else go there. TWO MINUTES. Yepp. I know its still my bad but Jesus. I was out before it really left the ground. Yepp maybe part Nelsons problem too. But thats some strict stuff right there. Every time a Golden rule break commercial comes on I think I need to post my review. Here it is. Sorry guys. **Amended below 9.24.16Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had some work done(front end suspension replaced) and a month later the noise had gradually come back. I took it back in and the manager of the store told me if I didnt have an appointment that day they couldnt help me. So I explained I was obviously I was 9 months pregnant, had my receipts with me and I was concerned at the safety level of my car. He told me they would try to get it in but they had other customers with appointments already so it most likely wouldnt happen that day. I clearly didnt think this should be an issue when my appointment was a month ago and I paid the $1500.00 to fix a problem that was still there AND I was about to have a baby so I needed to have a vehicle. I called at the end of the day and he told me they were done so I came to pick it up. He told me I needed another part but I had to buy it myself and bring it in. But not to worry they didnt tell me before because it wasnt that big of a deal and sent me away. I was astonished. So I turned around and crossed Francis to Patriot auto who took me in right away and looked at my car. Turns out I didnt need another part I needed the bolts in the newly replaced suspension tightened. They tightened them at no charge. The manager was the only person I dealt with there and if that is the way he would treat me I wouldnt send anyone there EVER.** Shortly after this review was posted the owner contacted me, very concerned about this review. To make a long story short, Dallas Low was a complete delight to speak to. He was genuinely concerned with the customer service I received. He listened to my story and concern and asked to speak with his manager and get back to me, which he did promptly. Dallas apologized sincerely, forwarding on the apology and ownership of my experience from his manager. He also offered me a VERY generous refund in which we agreed to donate it to charity. Along with the refund offer, I received two hand written letters, one from Dallas and one from the manager with sincere apologies. I appreciated the honesty, candor, responsibility and the genuine offer to make amends. I do think this company has heart and an honest, integral owner who will make it right if things somehow go wrong. I do not believe my experience is indicative of all customer service experiences nor do I think someone should not try them because of my experience especially because they went over and above to rectify this situation. Everyone makes mistakes and I believe as long as we transparently, honestly with heart do what is right there is no room for grudges or pass negative judgement. Overall great job on my brakes was done in a quick fashion very impressed with that but on a side note on my tahoe I have a set of sawblade American racing rims which arent made anymore and they couldnt even manage to get the center cap back in. Its one screw holding it in and they couldnt even line it up and my center cap goes flying off on the freeway so now I have an incomplete set of nice American racing rims because Im missing a center cap pisses me off will not be going back

We were taking a test drive in my mother-in-laws 1988 Lincoln Towncar that we are fixing up to sell. All of a sudden the brakes were gone. We happened to coast into The Golden Rule Brake shop on Francis ave. They were slammed with business and all working hard. They were kind enough to look at our problem. Turns out the front brake line broke and all the brake fluid was lost. They actually found a replacement part, had it delivered, and got us out of the shop in under one hour. Amazing customer service....and we didnt even have an appointment. Total cost was amazingly low. Great guys!

Ok, Golden Rule my foot. I just asked for a price to replace the two front flexible brake lines on my 2007 expedition, about 1 foot each. They quoted me $240.00. The hoses from Orielly, AutoZone and Advanced Auto are quoted at 30 ea. And the guy at Golden Rule said he was quoting an hour at 75/hr. That means he is marking up the $60 in parts more than $111. That is against my cost for the parts. I know they get the parts for less. Seriously that is Highway Robbery. My god, Golden Rule My foot. DO NOT GO THERE.Additional to my post: I changed the brake flexible lines myself in 45 minutes (Setup to cleanup), even after bleeding the lines, so the 1 hour was a little off, considering I am not a mechanic. As for the parts, $30 per flex line. Again, I do not care if you call the other shops, you know charge around the same amount as you, If I can do the job in 45 min and $60 in parts, I still feel @ $240 for the job, GOLDEN RULE IS RIPPING THE PUBLIC OFF. Shame on you Golden Rule.AGAIN: Be Very careful of Golden Rule

We just wanted to say Thank You to Golden Rule Brake on Franics for going above and beyond for our family. We were in Spokane on our way to Moses Lake for our sons basketball tournament when we started hearing some squeaking noises coming from our car. It was 4:30 pm and we swung into Golden Rule Brake hoping they would tell us that we could get to our tournament and deal with the issue when we returned on Monday. Michael took a look at our brakes and sure enough they were all in bad shape and needed to be fixed before we could continue. The store closed at 5:00 and Michael stayed over 2 hours after closing and got all 4 brakes in top shape and we were back on the road.
