This was my first experience with My Car Shop. I needed exhaust system repair. I called on Tuesday for assistance and my appointment was made for Thursday morning. My truck was promptly looked at and an estimate was given. They started work immediately and found the problem, replaced a section of tail pipe within 1 1/2 hours. My noise and performance issue was fixed. I am pleased with the integrity, professionalism, and total care I received from everyone from the desk to the mechanic.Thank you.

Julie and the shop guys worked on my sons truck. He had a rough idle and poor gas mileage. After a couple days and other tests,, they figured it was the plugs and wires, but they ran a compression test to eliminate another possibility. His truck runs fine thanks to their professionalism and diligence!

Kyle is a fantastic mechanic. I’ve taken my Volkswagen to him twice and not only was he efficient. He is also very informative and good at what he does. Had an issue with a older car door not being able to open, called the shop and spoke with Kyle the owner. Was able to diagnose and fix the issue the same day! Brought my car for an ac fix. Quoted an amount and charged and charged that exact amount. The owner is very personal and attentive to his customer. We also came back for a belt replacement on the wifes car and my alternator changed out. He was very accommodating and mindful. I have chose this as my trusted go to car shop.

I came into the shop for a check up on my car and my visit was very pleasant. Kyle and his staff were all very friendly and very professional. Id definitely recommend this place. And I myself will be going back.

They didnt finish the job. I had the leaf springs and pins replaced. When I left, there was an extreme vibration that was never there before. Their excuse was they never drove the truck before, so how would they know that the vibration was not supposed to be there. I dont know how anyone could think a vibration this extreme is normal, but ok. The driveline experts I took it to after these clowns, said it was because these clowns didnt put in the proper shims and line things up correctly. $300 more to properly finish the job that these people couldnt handle.

I have owned many high performance cars and generally do my own maintenance and repairs so I dont use shops unless I must. Kyle and his team are collectively one of the most friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy shops I have used in the last 25 years. They will tell you if items can wait and are willing to discuss in depth what is most likely occurring - a rare trait these days. Too bad theyre so far from my home!

Ive had two opportunities to use the services at My Car Shop. The first was over a year ago when my alternator pulley failed on I80 and left me stranded on the way to work. While waiting for the tow truck and being new to the area I searched auto shops. I called and spoke to Julie who said absolutely they could work my car into their schedule so I had the tow truck driver drop it off at their shop. Three hours later I was back on the road for a very reasonable price. Since that was the very best experience I could have hoped for I sought out My Car Shop again for a routine oil change and a few other minor electrical issues. I spoke to Kyle of concerns of whining noises from the front of the car at high speeds so he and his master technicians diagnosed front wheel bearings and we rescheduled later in the week to repair that problem. My car is now in tip top shape. Kyle, Julie and all of the My Car Shop crew are consummate professions who perform A+ work for a reasonable price. Kyle discusses cost in advance, keeps you updated through the process if he finds any other issues and completes the work when he says he will. Yeah, business like this still exist - who knew!

Fantastic place! The people are super friendly and know what they are doing. My moms car has had the check engine light on for more than ten years and no one knew what to do with it, but these guys did. Now it is off and working great. Every time we come in with a problem, they treat it correctly and efficiently. We can trust them to be honest and price fairly, which is a rarity in the mechanic world. I highly recommend them to anyone!

From Jul 13: I got a radiator fluid change and oil change. They took good care of me, even though I messed up my appointment time. Unlike the guy below me, they had a little bit of wiggle room to fit me in. Im happy, and I will go back for further service.Note: 31 Oct 13. Took it in for another oil change. All good and friendly. This is a business, if they can get you into their schedule, they will. They are honest. Its a clean shop too, that reflects the work ethic!

The owner Mike is honest and fair which is rare these days. He fixed my check engine light by diagnosing that I didnt close my gas cap all the way (oops). They changed my oil and inspected all my fluids, brakes, tires etc... all was good. Ill be back for any other problems.

Nicest Easiest shop Ive dealt with in a while, told me Friday at the earliest. So I had it towed on Wednesday, Wednesday evening it was done and way cheaper than I expected

So far I have taken a Mini Cooper (which he saved me literally thousands from the dealership), Chevy truck, and Infiniti I30, as well as my kids GTI and Honda Civic to this shop. They have always done outstanding work, even doing extra to make my repairs perfect. They are always professional, courteous, and friendly. They seem to be more than willing to go out of their way to make sure I am happy with their service. This is now the only place I take my cars for repairs. I was just told after they fixed an electrical issue with my truck that they now give a 2 year warranty, an added bonus.

They make you sign an agreement to pay for diagnoses, as regulation. But my issue was simple-- they diagnosed and fixed for free! Im still in shock.Thanks guys!!!

Be careful!I took my car for oil change. That Saturday I was getting ready to go on a trip, when I noticed my car was leaking oil. Tried to call My Car Shop and they were closed. Had to go to Big O Tires and it turned out that oil was leaking from the oil pan plug. My Car Shop had messed up the treads. Big O Tires put in an oversize temporary plug in and told me that I needed to replace the oil pan. They are not qualified mechanics and very unprofessional.When I contacted My Car Shop, I was told that the oil pan plug goes bad all the time and that it is not there problem.I am very disappointed in this company. I do not recommend them at all.

I had an emergency repair that I needed done asap. They squeezed me in, got the job done and it was all very simple, friendly and affordable. My Car Shop sets the bar for automotive service in northern Nevada in my book. I used to hate leaving my car for service, My Car Shop is the only place I trust when it comes to servicing my friends and familys cars.

Horrific. Im only using my wifes account because I dont have an account with Google.Being a mechanic myself, I took my truck in for an alignment because my shop does not have an alignment rack. They tried to sell me a steering box when the truck JUST got a brand new steering box, they tried to do all of the work without my approval and then tried to charge me $1,600! When I refused to pay I told them I wanted MY parts put back onto the truck and they informed me that they had broken the clock spring in the steering column. They gave me a new clock spring (a cheap knockoff part) and told me to fix it myself. They were trying to charge me for work that had not been completed. They broke a wheel stud off and left a lug nut off when mounting the tires. When I finally got the truck back with the original parts, I took it to a different shop.. $95 and one hour later the truck was aligned perfectly. This shop is crooked, they try to rip unknowing people off. They try to sell you things that are not needed, then when confronted by someone who knows what theyre talking about they just wanted me to take the truck and leave.I wil be contacting the DMV inspector and filing a suit against them in small claims. All conversations have been recorded, all paperwork is in order and Ill be seeing the crooked owner of this shop in court.

I have know Kyle over 5 years. He is my best mechanic for working on my old Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 and Jeep Commander and Ford Expedition too. he is very honestly and know the elacxty problem and tell you what is elacxty wrong with it, and then tell you how much will it cost you to fix. But their labor rate hourly is kind of pricey $113 hourly of labor services but its worth it because other Shop could be cheaper but they may have not good quality part they bought from cheapest part would have make it worse. This shop is remmomned is best mechanics in reno! But only thing... I didnt like when I have to come down to tell them what is problem on Vehicle but it charge me $113 for inspection for one part, if you want them to inspection everything on your car will cost a grand then they tell you how much more will you have to pay. They arent cheapest mechanics but great mechanics and always charm and welcoming and coffee and hot chocolate there... theyre very awesome people! Love this shop. But you need to have enough money to afford to take your car to their shop because they are kinda of pricey but they will do the best Job to make sure it safe for you to drive! Other shop may not want to make sure its safe to drive or not! Ill come back to there for my car service.
