Thankful for the new employees thats there. Its a better environment in my opinion. The appointments maybe a little of an inconvenience but its an better process to me.
Drove about 20 miles to the store with a truck load of baby clothes toys car seat only to be told that we needed to make a appointment to sale any of our stuff. Had been there before and didnt need a appointment to sale any of our stuff.got our money in about 20 minutes and spent most of it in the store. Never heard anything about making a appointment 👎

This store actually cheats you if you are selling items. I carried 12 school shirts, 4 school skorts, 1 school Shorts, 2 school pants, 1 romper, 5 pairs of jeans. I was offered $27. 6-7 items shirts and the skorts were brand new never worn.
The workers are rude. they attitudes be on 1000. it was messy in there when i went, girls was gossiping instead of helping. this place needs new management, even the manager rude .
Terribly backed up all the time, every other location is well organized except this one. Should really work on getting more employees.
I personally found everything I needed and they had a lot of inventory to go through. So more items to come.
Half of the items that are marked clearance are not really clearance and even though THEY’RE the ones that messed it up, they won’t fix the price.Store is an absolute wreck at all times. I love this store. It helps keep kids in good clothes for alot cheaper. In my own experience I had one cashier double charge my card. Maybe a little better training staff would curve that issue. Overall I like the clothes and prices.

There was 1 associate which greeted me 40 minutes into my visit while she was putting out items. She didn’t have a name tag ( red hair) but she made my shopping experience better by a simple smile, polite conversation & a point in the right direction! Who knew pj’s and smocked/boutique items had a place all their own in your store. Although I like this store and will definitely return, I would recommend that at least 1 of the 3 people standing behind the front counter acknowledge entering customers. A kind gesture goes a long way. 😊
Clean friendly well organized. You get pennies on the dollar for you baby/children stuff. Sometimes just a store credit. The resale prices are good
As of right now I am very unimpressed. I took a ton of items there this past Tuesday. The girl told me it would be a few days (no big deal). Today is Saturday and I have not heard anything from them so I tried to call yesterday and today and no one answers the phone and it goes to a voicemail that says the mailbox is full. What kind of business runs like this? It’s 30 minutes away so I cant just run up there and check. However I will be going up there tomorrow to find out exactly what is going on!!!
It was okay some of the stuff whats a little bit dirty like the baby shoes and the toys are out-of-this-world expensive for instance I asked the price on dollhouse and a little ice cream truck she said one was $80 and one was $60 now I might be not politically correct but it looked used. if something is used that means that its been played with and it lost its store value I was better off going to Walmart and paying a few extra dollars and getting it brand new. but all in all I went there for something I didnt get exactly what I wanted but I got something. other than the expensive quotes on the toys the girls were courteous so that was a plus.
Dear Once Upon A Child,I would like to know your policy on dress code for your managers (and employees). Also the policy of showing your ID to make purchases with a debit card. At your store in Southaven, MS #20728 (7075 Malcolm Blvd) today a member of your management team seems to think these shorts are appropriate for a childrens store. (They were pulled up way higher than whats shown in this picture.) She also seems that its appropriate to not follow said policy when it comes to checking IDs for debit card purchases with every customer. Out of the five customers that she checked out, she only asked me to show my ID. She did not ask the two customers in front of me for their IDs nor to three customers after for their ID but she said its policy to check EVERY customers ID when making a purchase with card. This is not the first time that Erin R. has said and did this. When asked why she didnt check the other customers IDs she said I forgot. Well if she can forget a simple policy rule like that, what other things could she forget? The dress code policy, crediting customers the right amount back on returns and drop off, end-of-the day closing procedures, giving her employees proper breaks/lunches and the list could go on. So as customer that supports your store with my hard earn money, clothing drops and years of shopping there, I would like answers.P.S. No child or adult should be shown butt cheeks in a public store for CHILDREN.Sincerely,-A concern customer
I was greeted when I entered store. I asked about the selling progress and was given the process in details. The evaluation process was fairy quick. Overall everything was good and very painless. Thanks for inviting me to come back to sell and shop again with them.
Too hyped. Just find a food sale at The Childrens Place because theyre priced the same as new CP clothes.
You arent given the itemized pricing for your clothing even when asked, unless you insist, and then with reluctance from the clerk. Youre offered a total amount. Some accepted items are priced unfairly (under 1.00). New policy is just a store credit which you may not be able to use if your size isnt part of inventory. New shoes are priced very low and sold for more than 10.00 dollars. More of a donate to company for sale store. Prices are nearly the same as buying elsewhere new.
Staff was friendly. Store was clean and well organized. prices were very reasonable.
This place was once great to work with selling childrens clothes. Right now, they dont seem to be buying much. May the supply is just more than demand lately. Either way, they could just say upfront what they arent buying.
They give next to nothing for clothes any more.
This place use to be a great store to consign items with but has steadily gone downhill. The store is usually in disarray, employees are usually caddy, unfriendedly and seemingly put out by doing their job and at times, after leaving clothing youre selling, 5-6 hours later theyve still not completed the job. The past 2 times Ive dropped off, my items werent ready until the next day. One of those times even after 27 hours, my items were still waiting to be purchased! Most of the time you get a fair quote but be ready for the frustration of it all.
I shop there all the time I have three boys and I love that store unfortunately I went there yesterday and my three year old had a truck that he was playing with and when I looked beside me this lady was taking the toy from him Im just looking like whats wrong, her and my baby still pulling on the toy and I politely say Im buying that maam she walks off and act like my kids was the only ones touching the toys it was another child riding a scooter through the store she never opened her mouth it would have been nice if she would have said maam dont let them play with the toys Ive shopped there for almost 5yrs and they are very rude with nasty attitudes and the lady that took the toy was the boss as the young lady said behind the counter she should have known how to approach people better in the store but I think I will take my boys to another store even tho Ive spent a lot of money there. I will never disrespect no one thats older than me Im 37 yrs old and I try not to be mean to no one but that bothered me and I think they need to make some changes because its horrible.
This place has saved me a ton of money over the years. They have good quality used clothes.
Went here to sell some unneeded childrens items. They have a great selection of things but dont go here to sell your items. What a joke. Honestly was offended at the offer they made on the items I brought in. I ended up selling them on the letgo app and made four or five times more than they offered.
If you are lucky sometimes you can find some good brands clothes, or even not used ones. Or uniforms for school.
Horrible customer service from current manager. My husband and I purchased a changing table from this location. We were not able to fit it into our car so they gave us the opportunity to pick it up at a later date. My husband picked it up and once he got it home I realized that someone a switched the original pad that went with the table for a dirty one. We went back to tell them what had happened and the manager said that the only thing that we could do was to bring the table back (which we live an hour away)and buy it at 10% and then take the table back. I asked could we get the 10% off in a store credit because we would have to pay for gas and the small percentage would not be worth it. She said no sorry. I will never use this company again.To your reply:Again like I stated before, the customer service from you and your current manager is horrible. You are a lier, when we purchased the changing table, there were two other changing tables present(a cherry one with a pad that didnt have straps, a light colored one with a dirty pad with red colored soil marks on it with no straps, and the one we chose which our table came with straps.) Like I stated before we are unhappy with the service, you and your manager and will never visit once upon a time again.
Good prices although when you have children who need to use restroom they do not have one for the public
This was a cool place kind of like a Goodwill kind of like a Salvation Army it had very nice used clothing. We found some good bargains On play clothes for a family that was in need and some for our own kids very reasonable prices and the clothes clean even though you always wash clothes when you buy them at a thrift store.
Excellent customer service and they lady who rung me up was very helpful answered all my questions and they have nice items that still looks new at affordable prices. I felt very happy when leaving that store😉
Ive decided to stop coming here after many years of selling/buying, because for the last couple of years selling, quality, and professionalism continue to drop. A waste of time for selling your items. They dont know what brands they pass up, such as a reversible London Fog jackets! Reasons for not buying are not valid, such as, wear and stains when items were not worn or stained. (No tags though). I have bought things there in fine but worse condition than what they pass on. This is my last time here. Not worth it.
I like this store out of all the others. Been shopping here for a while with 3 kids. Its saved me money. I find it best to just drop in and youll be surprised at the items you may find.

Customer service sucks!! When you ARE spoken to they mumble. Seriously it’s pointless I’d rather you say nothing. The air has been broken for I know going on 3 months. It is so hot I don’t spend as much time one there. Maybe 10-15 minutes tops!! And that’s if I HAVE to. Maybe if it were fixed people would spend more time/money. But hey who knows! 🙄🙄🙄

I was a new customer to this store today. Being new to the area I was excited to purchase much needed clothes for my six month old. I shopped in the 3-6 month section for boys, selecting a shirt, pants, shoes and one hat. I also bought a blue jean pair of overalls and a matching shirt and shoes. When I got home I realized that the blue jean overalls was actually a little girls overall dress. I immediately called and explained what had happened. I was told to bring the item back, and I could exchange for a pair of boys overalls.I later returned to the store and explained what had happened again, and went to pick out a pair of overalls for boys. I also chose several more outfits, shoes and hats.When I went to check out, I was told I could not have a refund because the dress was on clearance. I explained that I had mistakenly chosen the item, because it was in the wrong section where I was shopping. I did not shop in the clearance section for girls and purchasing the item was a mistake. I told the clerk that I have only one child, and I do not know anyone here yet that has a little girl.She went to talk to the manager who would not refund, exchange, or even meet me half way on the price.Here are the facts that are very disappointing, rude, poor business practice, and just shows low or no common courtesy .*I spent in total both visits today a total of 66.07 in purchases .. The dress cost 2.75..*The pair of overalls I chose to replace the dress cost 7.50. You all made almost three times more from me anyway.* The whole point is not the cost at all. Kindness goes a long way. Yes there are lots of people out there with wrong intentions and Im sure you see that every day.. Not everyone is like that.. I know Im only one person, but you lost a new customer today.. I wish you all the best

Stuff is literally everywhere. No organization. There was a stroller in the dressing room. The person working there said that I can just take it out and then put it back. All the shoes were just thrown in which ever been no organization whatsoever. The toys worst rolled out everywhere and nobody appeared to want to pick any of it up

On 10/23/18 the staff was not helpful with assistance in finding a missing shoe within the store. I wanted to purchase the shoes for my daughter but only saw one, which had the price tag on it, so I asked an associate for assistance in finding the missing shoe and she stated “that shoe could be anywhere” and walked up to the front of the store. Sales associates cared more about talking among themselves than helping customers.
I have shopped at Once Upon a Child in many states and this is one of the worst locations I have been to! Store is terribly disorganized with bags, hangers and stacks of clothes everywhere. Toys and shoes are a mess and selection is seriously lacking. I went to find some short sleeve shirts for my toddler in July and they didn’t have one single short sleeve shirt in his size, only the fall and winter clothes. It’s July in the south people! We have at least 3 more months of hot weather before we need to break out the long sleeves and jackets! Customer service was awful too. They look at you like they couldn’t care less about your business and won’t even smile or acknowledge you in any way. I won’t be back to this location. I’d rather drive to Collierville or Ridgeway area. They actually seem to have it together at those stores and are at the very least friendly.

I was surprised at how messy this store was. There were totes of clothes everywhere, you could barely get down the aisles. There was a man there who I am guessing was a manager or owner (Paul I think was his name?) He was being extremely rude to his employees borderline yelling at them, which caused them to be flustered. I dont think they even looked at my clothes when going through them, there was a very nice Carhart shirt that they didnt keep along with other nice items. I was only offered $8 for a brand new Boppy pillow that the lady told me they would sell for $20, I decided to keep my items. I would not recommend this place for selling items, but if you have time to dig through everything you can find some good deals on buying things.

I went in to sale 5 bags of very good clothing. The lady checking the clothes didnt even look through all my bags. Im assuming she didnt want to do her job because I was white.

The store was beyond being disorganized. I couldnt get down the aisles to actually look because there were racks and big tubs of clothes all over the place. Once I finally got to the aisle that was suppose to contain my daughters size, the checkout line was halfway down the aisle. So I gave up. Ill just stick with the Cordova location. They seem to have it together a bit more.
I love this place. My little one grows out of his clothes so fast that I cant stand paying (expensive) full price for items that he wears maybe a month or two.
The stuff for sale was dirty and broken and the store was very unorganized. I dont see how anyone would buy from here. Its much better at a Goodwill.
These people are very rude. On the phone, calling people the b word just because we came in the store. I would think this part or town would have a little class but i guess not. I will never shop at this unprofessional place again.

Visiting this store one definitely can tell there has been a shift in management.I dropped by on break to have some items reviewed and with the intent of pickup up after work.The transaction was smooth with me providing needed information.However, I was just standing there no communication between the employee . I asked why was I waiting. It was because I had a cosleeper and it had to be approved before I could leave.Communication was happening between the cashier and her coworker. And I overheard the coworker say she have to wait along with smirks and grins upon their faces.i explained I had to return to work. Again, it was said she have to wait I asked for my items back and asked for the young ladies name that was giving instructions and saying I had to wait.She rudely provided her name by writing it down and continued to have a negative attitude about not being in a position to make people do their jobs.On a job its called teamwork to get a customer in and out.I called back on today to speak to the manager Jessica asking for the district manager phone number and name. I was told that information could not be provided and that she is out of town.. At that point I realized why the employees have bad attitudes and poor customer service. However,,in doing transactions with the other stores customer service is grand and there was no problem with providing the store owners name.This particularl store need to be restructured or it will be losing customers.I was provided his name with no problem and look forward to communicating with him about my experience.

HORRIBLE AND DISHONEST!! I stopped by there Sunday to drop off 3 bags of clothes...brand new nice name brands clothes, 3 pair of shoes, one of which was brand new still in the box. They called me Monday to come pick up my clothes. The offer was extremely low considering over half my items still had tags on them. I declined the offer and when I started going thru my clothes i realized the band new boys shoes were not in my bag nor were they in the offer bin. I demanded they return to them to me. The manger looked around calling employees who checked the items in the day before. They were no where to be found. The manager told me she would call if and when they were found. About 3 minutes after i drove off, she called saying they were on the floor for sell. WHAT???? They were already tagged to be sold!! Can you say THIEF!!!!!!Will never go into that store again nor will I EVER recommend anyone to go there!!!

Poor customer service and Ive been waiting over an hour with my son, the lady said she got off track and forgot about the 1 bag I brought in.
I find really great deals on shoes and things when im in a hurry. Yesterday, 8-17-18, i took two large tubs and two large handle bags (from cracker barrel). I folded them and separated the shoes into a separate bag on top. Hundreds of clothes/outfits in these bags. We had to call today, midday, and ask if they had finally looked over our items. They said yes, and we went to get them. $3.20 for 3 items and they paid us in change!! When i got home, most of my stuff had not even been touched. I feel as though if someone were to try and sell their items back, they would be ignored or discredited and just passed over so they wouldnt have to go through all those clothes. I found this to be unacceptable. Ill drive to one of the other locations from now on. (And yes, there were plenty of seasonal appropriate clothing. It was newborn to 24 months in all seasons). Very disappointed...
The service sucks. Well, its mediocre. You will wait in line forever, even if there are 5 people behind the register and only 2 customers waiting to check out. They would rather tag and sort clothes than make a sale. The quality and price is great which is the only reason I go back. Im cheap. Eventually Ill bring to their attention how incredibly unprofessional they are.

Today i dropped off 2 tubs of clothes at 11:15 a.m. i asked how long would it be until ready for pick up she rudely said 20 mins. I said ok & decided to have a look around during the 20 min wait. After 20 mins it still wasnt ready so i left & was told to wait for a call. I didnt get a call until 3:30 p.m. & they only took 1 item. My whole experience today with them was just horrible. I will never go back to this place! I dropped some clothes and shoes off on Tuesday around 1. They looked extremely busy. There were customers standing around everywhere waiting. The store was a mess. Clutter everywhere. They finally got to me and said it would be about an hour or two before they could get to my items. I didnt hear back from them until 7:30 and they told me i could come by the next morning. This morning i went back and they had passed on pretty much everything i took in. They offered me a really low number for my shoes and a few outfits. I realized they had only chose to keep 2 out of the 3 pairs of shoes i took in. I went through my stuff and realized they had lost one of the shoes. I spoke with the manager and asked her where the other shoe was and she had attitude and told me it wasnt in there when she went through my clothes. I know for sure it was in there and they lost it and blamed it on me. Needless to say, i declined the offer and took my things with me. I will never go to this location again!
