10/10 would recommend for boat rental!After seeing some pretty worrisome reviews on Google and Yelp for other powerboat rental businesses in the area, I found Ship Shops and chose them due to their fantastic reviews and simple rental process. Judson went above and beyond to ensure that we would have a great day - explaining the maps of the area, and talking to us over the phone when we needed some help dropping the anchor.We come to the Cape every summer and will definitely be returning to Ship Shops next year to do it again!

Great staff. Very knowledgeable about the waterways. Dave was extremely helpful. My only complaint was not knowing about the hold beforehand. But overall, great experience!

2 hour, half and full day slots in a range of decent boats from 16ft upwards. Perfect way to enjoy Capes waterways, beach front houses and warm Waters. A must.

We rented a power boat here for a family of 5 adults and were very happy with the service, the boat and the waterway. It was a little rough in the open Bay and the speed area in the river is small. Overall a good experience, even during the pandemic restrictions. The boat was in good shape and the people were very friendly and helpful.

The staff were really nice and helpful. They made sure that we were able to ask questions and be confident in taking the boat out. My family and I had a great time, even when we ventured out a lil bit to the ocean while being windy/choppy. Would def. go back again when the weather is better! Would recommend!

I was struggling to flip my boat to have stern facing shop. I asked this young man for help and he was just thrilled to help and pleased at me for asking, rather than attempting myself. Cant put his kindness into words!

This place is the real deal. Busy like everyone else but would never know it talking to them because they are so responsive and the turn around is incredible. Had an Etec repowered and its a work of art. Will be coming here for all my boating needs. Thanks Marty and the ship shop crew!

Could not have been more impressed with the staff. Colleen was who we mostly dealt with and she was exceptional. The boat was great, we rented the 20 and mostly just fished few miles off shore. We will definitely rent again in the future. Thank you.

Highly recommend if your interested in renting a boat and going up Bass River or out to open water. I recommend the larger boat 24’ as it is more stable but handles well. We had no issues at all and staff was very friendly. I wish pricing was a little less but aside from that I will come back next time and rent for whole day vrs 1/2 day.

Great place to rent a boat on the cape. We booked a 20 the day before for 6 of us and got there a little early to get instructions and do the quick paperwork. Staff was friendly and the boat was average but did the job and was great for 6 people. Went to Monomoy Island and hung out for a while, saw some seals and had a wonderful afternoon, took about 30 mins to get there but longer to get back due to going against the wind. I highly recommend renting a boat from Ship Shop, we will be back next year!!

I went to Ship Shops on a recommendation. I am so glad I did. My 2013 evinrude was not quite running right. Not only did they identify the issue with the injectors, they also tightened up the controls. They were also very fair and communicated well my options. I bought a 150 hp e-tec Evinrude outboard motor from them. Their price was competitive to anywhere in the country. I know, as I researched prices thoroughly. The install was excellent. The communications and response to questions and concerns was very good and very fast. They tried different propellers when I wanted to (it didnt need it, my fault), they changed the steering to a different type when I didnt like the type i had chosen, etc. perfect service and response every time. Now, when I just phoned 3 years later for my 3 year service, they were very fast and responsive. Thanks Ship Shops!
