This store reminds me of a cross between Christmas Tree Shops and Big Lots.You can definitely spend quite a long time just walking down the aisles and browsing.A fun store to walk around.

Prices are right! I ordered a 10x12, 500lb gazebo/canopy for my deck from them and everything from the order to informing me of pick-up and details about how to get it were explained thoroughly. They have good prices for things you need. Employees have always been friendly and helpful. Oh...dont forget to pick up some of the sweet raisin bread at the front before checkout! Great for French toast & definitely worth the calories.

Nice budget store with a more consistent inventory of items in multiple departments including food, hygiene, office supplies. Has a seasonal rotating stock near the front of the store and portion of the side of the store.A little understaffed but that’s the case with pretty much all the discount stores.

This store has everything. Food, clothes, hardware, kayak.. EVERYTHING.The staff was friendly and helpful. Play sand and stone chips were priced competitively. I was able to find everything I need for my gardening project.

I buy way too much from this place. Crazy deals are definitely dangerous if you have a garden sand like to add flowers, veggies and decorations. This spring 2021, weve gotten, all types of seeds and bulbs, soil, fertilizer, a shade tent, patio umbrella, stakes, tomato cages, garden tools, kiddie pool, planters, just to name a few things.

This appears to be a newer Job Lot, massive store with goods, think twice before getting the victor allen k cups, yea they’re cheap but the also taste cheap lol, huge pet selection with dog toys and beds, food area is good/ clothing isn’t bad- sign up for insiders deals / crazy deals are worth it.

You never know what you will find in this store. Fun!

My husband and I have been shopping at Ocean State Job Lot since they were in Shrewsbury. We were heartbroken when they moved to South Plainfield however they brought with them the best staff ever! Steve Cesarski, the area manager, who we have known since inception of Shrewsbury store, did something for us yesterday that I doubt any employee would ever do. We forgot part of our purchase and since he lives so close to us we called him at the store and asked him if he would meet us in the area so I could pick it up after he got off work. He didnt hesitate a moment. OSJL hit the lottery when they hired Steve! He has ALWAYS been so helpful, kind and extremely hard working!! Thank You again!!

Hello from LesterSmitty Smith I just had to report on this Ocean State Job Lot and as you notice I just have to keep on saying at this great operation here Ive been wanting to rate this place for about a week or so and just been so busy havent had the time it is one of the best stores Ive been into in a long time and everything to get from A to Z. People so pleasant & helpful things I havent seen in other stores and new things which were out for the spring appeal stores super clean and well-stocked remember oceanstatejoblot I mean I come from North Jersey just to shop there and they do whatever they can do to keep you coming back for example they only if they had a floor sample that was only one left a good shape they so I wanted it in a manager came over and gave me I believe it was 10 15% off I mean they are so well organized there its a must to stop in and as I said you was fine things you havent seen another stores that are hard to get and some new things out for the spring so once again make sure you stop by please Piscataway area itll be well with you. On 11/2/2019 between the hours 3:15pm-4:15pm Me and my husband found this place after a lunch date we had in the area. Pleasantly the store was very welcoming with its wonderful deals and very well organize inventory. Everything was great until we got to the register which ruined my entire first time experience to this location. There was a customer ahead of us with just one small item on the counter, and my husband then proceeded to add the items we intended to purchase on the counter. The cashiers name Margaux Store #554 Cashier#58638 Reg#5 Time 4:12pm quickly put her hand up towards my husbands face and said STOP without even looking him in the eye.I seen my husbands reaction and I then asked why are you not putting the items on the counter? He told me that the cashier said stop, and I noticed the customer in front looking like wow, how rude of the cashier when he himself was just waiting for transaction to close out. I then looked at her and she was looking at the register, then she started scanning our items no greeting, no nothing as to why she told my husband to stop, absolutely Nothing. I then proceeded to greet her and say hello how are you doing?, because I have worked in customer service 20 plus years and know that this is not the right attitude, she didnt respond to my greeting at all. At this point my husband walked away to the customer service area because he himself knows something is not right. The cashier had her head down the entire time I was at the counter until the total came up and she told me the amount, I proceeded to swipe my card and about to put the chip side in the machine when she said NO, and literally explained to me how the process works. I told her very clearly, You do not have to explain anything to me about the process I understand the process very well, she then sucked her teeth and gave me my receipt and left my items on the counter, NO BAG. I said I would like a bag please, she looked at my items and then got a bag and left it on the counter. This woman may have been having a bad day but being rude or possibly racist is not a way to handle any situation. Customer service is customer service and that behavior should not be tolerated.

They are helpful and will dropped off anything that they are working on to assist with any questions or directions (in my case).I was buying disposable coffee cups and the blond ladie (I cant remember her name) took her time to look and look for me. This is a surprisingly good store with a wide variety of items. I found a large number of healthy snacks, name brand clothes, and even purchased a carry on travel bag. This store has been here for a while and this was our first visit. Were definitely going to be back soon.

Like a Big Lots or Dollar Store with some better stuff. You can find some really great deals depending what youre looking for or if its on sale and as long as you have their Insider Promotion card.They have seasonal stuff from inflatables, pools, beach gear, lawn stuff like tools, fertilizer, grass seed, patio lawnchairs/pads.Stuff for all around the house really. Never crazy crowded.
