Ill start with the good things. The prices are practically unbeatable and theres a ton of variety if you need all different manner of goods. They offer curbside and other services for folks who cant get around as well. But other than that, this place is always a circus. Stock is often lacking. They changed to self checkout, which is cramped and awkward to enter/exit. As another reviewer experienced, if I were in a wheelchair I cant even imagine getting in and out of there let alone checking out my own items, its just not setup for that. I would advise extra caution here if your concerned about covid.

My problem with Walmart is that they made so much during the pandemic then fired all there cashiers. Tricking consumers to work for them for free by putting in all self checkouts . I dont know what you would call that . But I know what I consider it. I will not go back to Walmart until they change there ways.

Love Walmart! Who doesnt. This particular store has no gripes in my personal POV. Although, since covid we really cant rate restroom cleanliness & other things of that nature all I can really go by is the orderly fashion & cleanliness of their parking lot & general store which I give them an A++ & also the helpful, friendly staff who as well receive an A++ from me!. Some of the workers here will go above & beyond their job descriptions to help u out & honestly thats more than I can say for most minimum wage employees in other public customer service positions at other stores. Ahem...McDonalds...Ahem.

I love Walmart. So friendly all the time and easy to find items. You can even order online now and pick up later from the store

Im a disabled person who is only able to get out to shop approximately 2Xs a month. Its hard enough getting all through your store, buy then having only self-checkout available is creating more issues for me and my other disabilities to scan and bag my merchandise. I am seriously considering going to another store chain that better accommodates my disabilities.

Has good prices on products, but seems any store with a direct bus line to the north side has issues with less than considerable people which really does a number on the whole shopping environment/experience. When everything is a mess and people act like someone else can fix that or clean that and not care..... and thats just considered normal at this point, you start second guessing your shopping decisions.

It was a great store and the remolding is done for a more organized outlook. What takes away a lot of points is how they turn it into a self checkout. For one thing people are not even trying to hurry up and pay for their stuff. Theyre taking their sweet time, jamming up the register with unnecessary swiping and then they waste time taking things out one bag putting into another bag.All the while we the customers behind them have to wait for them to finish scanning an overflowing cart.The other issue is how the self checkout layout was mapped. Not long enough waiting areas to park you and your cart. Lines are so long they zig zag around kiosks and down long lines. Its hard for shoppers to get past the ones waiting to check out, to get into the make up area.This part of the store should be some distance away from shopping areas of the store. We shouldnt have to back up go done 2 lanes to get to aisle we need, because theres a wall of people waiting to be checked out. Its not their fault at all. Its where the registers were designed that is causing this huge traffic jam.All these reasons and some more make it very undesirable for me to want to shop there. I go there now when its the only quick option. But I curse myself for not going somewhere else when a 20 minute shopping trip turns into a 45 minutes.

This use to be a great store, but now their shelves are always empty & the people who work there dont care at all about the customers. Be prepared to check out & bag all your items yourself, because the workers just stand around, and they only have self-serve lanes. Taking my business elsewhere.

Youd think that if they have given up on having human cashiers and expect everyone to check themselves out, they wouldnt have the audacity to rudely demand your receipt and look though every single item you purchased on your way out. Yeah, that 6x5 $60 rug I bought was super suspicious - Not to mention the pumpkin, strawberries, bag of twix, coloring book and markers for my daughter!In closing, the store is clean, isles are too close together, staff was rude and accusatory - would recommend that you take your business elsewhere, as that is what Ill be doing from now on.

Very clean. Would have gotten 5 stars except my experience involved ask 2 employees where something was and they didnt know but worse they didnt attempt to help or ask another employee.

I am sorry to report that this store is starting to go downward. This is usually one of the better stores and so what happened? I want to warn whom it may concern that people notice things who are regular shoppers. Fix the issues and remain one of the BETTER WALMART STORES AGAIN.

Well stocked and clean store, on the smaller side of the supercenter spectrum but had everything I needed.

Love this place. The curbside pickup is a great addition for getting in and out.

Got to the store early for a pickup. Instead of making me wait, the girl who waited on me made a special run and picked my order for me. I was with my little granddaughter, so I really appreciated the extra service. Thank you South Milwaukee Walmart!

Was able to get what I needed and get out quickly, not waiting in line or looking for a cashier. The gentleman who rang me up was semi retired and a pleasant man who was great conversation.

This place is always picked over, doesnt matter what day or time. Get it together, please! This is one of the only businesses in the area...do better.

This Walmart has greatly improved over the years. They recently remodeled their store, they added new signs, more refrigerators, new shipping carts and buffed out the flooring. The only things that makes me rate it 4 stars instead of 5, is that they upgraded the registers to be all self check out only. The only lanes that arent self check out are in the customer service area (one employee) and I believe there are 2 real life employees that can ring you up that are stationed near the self checkout registers. The employees located by self checkout are usually too busy to ring anyone up though, because they have their hands full trying to correct mistakes within the self checkout zone. It can be a madhouse when it is busy in the store. Lastly, the store has been a mess the past few months. With all the employees freed up from having to work the registers, you would think that they would have more hands to keep the store clean and the products stocked...right?

This particular Walmart Supercenter is clean, shelves full, workers-a-plenty and they have a very cool bull-pen in the front for self check out that makes things move 10x as fast.

Even the best Walmart experience is usually terrible but this place has nothing but self-checkout. I dont work at Walmart and I dont want to have to check out and bag my own purchases

I like Walmart inexpensive dog food at least 10pennies less than all the big box store

I can find employees as easily as I can find product in the meat dept.As in..... theres nothing, and no one ever around.

Leah the front end Supervisor did not know anything about customer service. I had an issue picking up my Western Union. I recently updated my Drivers License to the Real ID and was issued a temporary license until mine comes in the mail. I was Informed by the two associates at the western union desk that they would not be accepting paper proof, on DMV letterhead mind you! All the information matched, and Ive picked up from this location multiple times.I was hung up on twice in the process, when I finally was able to get a hold of Leah again she talked over me the entire time, would not let me explain myself. However when I was able to get speak, I informed her that she just told me on our first phone call she literally just informed me that they had an old policy due to Covid-19 in which they allowed paper versions to be accepted, she then continued to talk over me and ACCUSED ME OF MONEY LAUNDERINGThis is obvious discrimination, and I will be calling the 1800 to make a complaint along with contacting the BBB

All I can say is HERD MENTALITY! Its a good place to shop but those self checkout lanes suck. But they have reasonable prices for their items.

Never more than one cashier. I think the idea of the self checkouts is bogus. Its just a way to be greedy and not pay for labor.

Customer care is needled. Self check out a total mess,especially for disabled and elderly people, lines are very long,30 minutes wait time at least. The elderly cant figure then out and the disabled cant unload and fill cart take to car unpack and return the cart to inside. Im a resenty disabled, elderly woman, I shop at Walmart at least twice a week my totals are never under 150.00 usually 270.00 or more. It is very in convenience to shop there anymore, and grocery pick-up you cant order meat,fruit,vegis,Vegas, fresh food. I always have to return it. Quality issues! Bruised fruit,moldy,meat moldy or a bad cut. You pickers dont care what they grab. I used to do delivery but now I have to do pick-up so I can look over the bad items. We dont have other grocery stores near, I will be traveling to Sendmail or pick in save. I have been i Walmart shower since they came to Milwaukee. I am searching for another place to go. Your shelves are 3/4emty any way,no selection, Walmart brand is not a very good alternative for anything from grocery to auto care. I wont be back.

It was surprisingly easy to find and get everything and everyone was helpful and friendly.

Sadly disappointed to see that there are no real checkout lanes anymore. Its all self-checkout. Its robotic and there are cameras watching your every move. I felt like cattle rather than a customer. Of courses I was chastised for placing my items in the wrong place because you get a tiny shelf to bag your own stuff. Im sure there is a veil of convenience somewhere, but I think there was a sacrifice to some jobs there.

I just dont like the front end. Pharmacy is great and always helpful. Your greeter has one job, but is too busy on their phone.

This store is prob the worst Walmart ive ever dealt with its tiny unorganized never stocked the staff are rude and hate being there and it shows their big remodel was a joke just makes it harder to get your stuff and get out quick they had a power out last night talk about unprepared staff were rude as always made everyone drop their stuff and leave immediately wouldnt even check anyone out I hope they lost ALOT of money last night..what a waist of time this place is if you can AVOID it trust me..terrible Walmart!

After 15 minutes in line I walked out. They dont have enough employees for cashiers but they can have 4 people at the doors standing around talking. This store has no clue how to help customers.

Aisles were super messy, shelves needed restockimg, and the checkout was absolute chaos. You can only self-check out; which is fine, but there was a herd of people disorganized and nail-biting amidst a pandemic as they had half of the checkouts closed. Will never go back if we can at all help it. Not that Wal•Mart was ever any good, but wow have they gone down hill under poor management. And I was absolutely shocked to find out this was a new store! flabbergasted...

Stopped in for camp stove fuel. None to be had. Coolers were also in short supply.I hate the checkout system that Walmart is putting in place. Not everyone is comfortable checking themselves out and assistance is in very short supply. I will leave a full cart before I check myself out.

Good store! Great prices and decent selection although shelves are a little bare in some areas. This store carries sewing and craft supplies! Plenty of covid type supplies on hand today. Adequate checkouts were open too if you dont mind self checkout.

If I could zero stars I would. Never have anything I need, shelves are always empty even though you have employees stocking shelves. I recommend not coming here.

Been going here for curbside pickup groceries. Its quick and I dont have to even get out of the car. If you have the Walmart app, you dont even have to call to say youre there. Usually has everything I ask for in stock or a decent equivalent. Probably set up to be the best online grocery service out there

Store looked like it was looted. Stuff everywhere. Shelves bare and empty. Only self serve checkouts. Employees spend more time talking and messing with each other than cleaning or stocking. This location stinks.

I liked this Walmart. It was clean, well organized, and the staff was friendly.

Love the 24hr access but hate they barely ever have people at the the registers during the day when I’m buying a lot of bigger items an when self check out isn’t the best option.

Other than the cashier being helpful and friendly I dont think the prices are all that good

I understand that I maybe came at a busy time but the check out line was beyond reasonable. It extended from the main entrance all the way to the easter display and turned the corner into the main isle. Maybe having more employees at the registers would have helped instead of relying mostly on self checkout.

Prices are good, but all self-checkouts make it a SLOW shopping experience.

Used to come here quite often because it was close and convenient. Not that Wal-Mart cares, being a multi-billion dollar corporation, but Im not giving them anymore business.If I go to a store, the least I expect is checkout service. This location has gone over to 100% self checkouts. Ridiculous!! I guess making billions of dollars is too little to pay employee wages? Give me a fricken break. I will travel to Target or Mejer. Though farther and less convenient, I can at least still get served at those locations.

Joey in electronics was very honest and helpful throughout my visit. I also heard from another employee that many other customers have given compliments about Joey! Thanks to him for representing his company!

The remodel is really coming along. Customer service is great. Friendly employees ready to help with their new selfcheck out if needed.

Everybody in the store is very helpful thats why Ive stopped there for the last five years one thing I dont like about the storage yet you got to ring yourself out Im a person with disabilities have a broken tailbone but I am glad that you do have those little carts drive around the store

Everything is either torn apart due to remodeling that has been going on for several months, mass amounts of items out of stock or just not stocked, boxes & pallets in the middle of aisles & the bathrooms are a port-a-potty out back with no way to wash your hands or lighting inside them (no, I am not kidding). If you want to locate anything including the port-a-potty, you are on your own & hopefully, there isnt boxes or pallets in the aisles.

Small but ok. Avoid the crowds by going really early or really late. They’re open 24 hrs!!

The lady in sporting goods had the smarts to call DNR and find the answers for me.you dont find that their to often

Great family restaurant. Generous servings of delicious home cooking. Service is fast and friendly, and you never feel rushed to leave.

The cashier was very prejudice. Yelling at customers. I spoke to managers and got nothing so ill be calling corporate this morning. I was treated as if I was a criminal. They followed me through the entire store he whole time I was shopping. Then stood at the register while my entire buggy was loaded and paid for. I live and work here and been there several times but usually in the morning. So embarrassing! Just imagine if I had my grandkids with me. I would give 0 stars but it doesnt give me that option.

What has happened to this nice Walmart? Like most people taking away cashiers was a terrible mistake. I know many people who will not go to Walmart for that reason. Very clustered. Not sure why the store was a disaster, boxes everywhere stock low, messy.Did not go in the food area.

Parking lot is closest I ever get & only then to wait for a lucky friend. Walmart might see my 1st dime when they recognize their workers rights to Unionize.

I had bought a battery thier website said it marched my car .. when I got to my car the battery was too small not made for my car.. when I went to return it they said i had to wait 24 hours for it to show up on the system... that was the only problem I had here other wise it is a ok store

The new Self Checkout layout is horrible! Way to small of an area! Would love to have cashiers to scan my items on my large shopping trips. Also tons of merchandise sitting on carts and pallets on the end and in the isles not being put away!

Small store and great helpful staff

3 stars. First for convenience, second for TYPICALLY having the items Im looking for, and third for no major issues with produce or products purchased. Fourth star would have been for customer service, which was severely lacking. Most employees were monotone robotic drones. Fifth star completely gone because of the rude holiday bell ringer out front. I come here frequently because its less than 2 minutes from the house. Dropped over $350.00 on toys for a toy drive for less fortunate children and this guy wants to make smug comments about not throwing any $$ into his jar when Im rolling out with a cart full of toys. I understand the thought on perception, oh this guy is rolling out with 2 carts filled with toys, but he had no right to make comments or say anything at all.

A local big box department and grocery store, for complete one stop shopping. Shop Walmart. Its close and on your way home. Stop in, youll be glad you did!

Its Walmart. I have tried using the app to verify prices and have found lower prices both ways. I do find that the lower price is usually the one that is ring up.

I love there deli section ... with the salads and then bakery. Oh and they had my size in scrubs. Three other walmarts did not!!

Used to be great until they decided to turn it into the circus that is the 27th st Walmarts. Redesigned floorplan is absolutely terrible and seems to have even attracted more questionably ratty people.

Whoever thought of the new checkout setup at this store needs to be demoted. Herding every shopper into tight little spaces so they can check themselves out during a pandemic is idiotic. Want us all to use self checkout? Set it up like a normal cashier aisle. Better yet, give us cashiers. I can get anything I usually buy at Walmart other places so I wont be going back. If I get desperate and absolutely need something from Walmart, Ill head over to the store on 27th or buy it online.

I just Hate their new cattle corel style self checkout. The bathrooms are being remodeled. My mom said she had to use a porta pottie thing outside. Shelves where stocked, isles narrowest in the city. No social distancing here, no room. Dont forget your mask..

Although the store is in the midst of some remodeling, the staff is still very patient & helpful.

My review is on the pick up grocery order. I get expired food, damaged/rotten produce or sometimes missing items when the email notes they are in my order. Its not often, but when it does happen they make me feel like Im lying to them when I call to tell them the bananas and apples are missing in my order. I spent almost $200, why would I lie about 2 items that cost $2 combined? 😒
