I arrived at 5:38pm for my 6pm appointment for covid booster. Only one very line for everything. Once I got checked in at 6pm I noticed there were at least 10 or more people already sitting in chairs waiting to get their vaccine. We all sat for an hour (appointments ranging from 5pm to 6pm) waiting for our vaccine and watching some very heartbreaking, cruel treatment for those trying to pick up prescriptions. People trying to drop off prescriptions were being told to go to Calumet City because they cannot fill their prescription until after noon the next day. People trying to pick up their prescriptions for the last 3 days were being told their prescriptions still arent ready, come back tomorrow after 12pm. The lack of empathy given toward these people, especially the elderly and parents with children that need their medicine was absolutely heart breaking. When they finally started calling people one by one at 7pm, they were calling people way out of order. One woman arrived after most of us and was called in. She refused to get her vaccine before the people ahead of her. I got called before the woman that was in the line ahead of me. The pharmacist said the girls at the desk arent being as organized as she would like them to be and mixing up paperwork. Something seriously needs to be done about this pharmacy. I have seen pharmacies with way less staff operating much more efficiently than this. I will never return to this location and highly recommend others fill their prescriptions elsewhere since at least 10 people waiting 2 hours for vaccine had to watch customer after customer be turned away and told to go somewhere else or come back tomorrow.Oh. And as other comments are saying. I tried calling the day before my vaccine appointment to ask if it is safe to get the vaccine while taking antibiotics. I was placed on hold with 3 people ahead of me, when it was finally my turn they picked up and placed me on hold again at least 4 times. I ended up hanging up and googling it. So I echo other reviews saying they do not answer phones and I never saw anyone pick up a phone while waiting 2 hours or even heard it ring.This place needs to be investigated. It is a danger to the health and safety of the South Holland community. These employees should be ashamed and find work in a different field if they dont plant to preserve the dignity and respect of people seeking healthcare.

I am so disappointed in the service I received from the pharmacy at this location. Over two weeks ago my doctor tried to call to put in a prescription for me. Unfortunately the nurse was unable to speak to someone at the pharmacy so she left a message. The prescription was never filled. As of today another message was left by my doctors office because they were unable to speak to someone. And guess what my prescription still wasn’t filled. I go up to the store wait 45 minutes for the pharmacist to tell me oh we’re still waiting for a message from your doctor. I reached out to my doctors office and they said again they are not able to speak with someone. I have asked my doctors office to move my prescription to the Walgreens in Lansing hoping I will receive better service. I am appalled that Walgreens and this neighborhood would allow this kind of treatment. Especially with the amount of older residents that live in South Holland this is deplorable! South Holland as a community needs to do demand better service and Walgreens as a company needs to hold this pharmacy responsible and accountable! I plan to call the corporate number and voice my concerns and utter disgust with how customers are treated by this pharmacy.

Its ridiculous how long you have to be waiting for a pharmacist to answer. and when its your turn for them to answer its rings and they put you on hold again. They did this 4 times and never answer. I had to hang up. Was waiting for 45 minutes and nothing. That pharmacy is not how they use to be.

Pharmacy is terrible. I typically wait 30 minutes to 1 hours for my prescription and they never answer the phone. I called and kept being put on hold as I heard laughing in the background and when I asked them about it In person they ignored me with no apologies and asked what’s my name for the order. Even though this is close to me I’ll be changing to a different pharmacy with better service.

I wish it could be 0 stars. The worst pharmacy I ever dealt with. Orders not filled correctly and not very polite. One time they switched my credit card with another customer. Another time they didnt put it in the bag and then it somehow disappeared. Minus 2 stars...

This is the worst Walgreens I have ever encountered. Before moving to South Holland, I lived in Evanston and never had a problem. The poor service, the long lines and waiting for a week for medication would never happen in the White neighborhood. Well, effective today, I refuse to be treated like my health is not important and as though I don’t matter. I’m moving my prescriptions and every Black person who has experienced similar issues should move their prescriptions as well. When we move as a unit, we can be taken more seriously. Additionally, this Walgreens is going to kill someone. Please stay away.

Terrible pharmacy drive thru wait time up to 30 minutes or more, and dont even think about calling with questions for the pharmacy, they will pick up and put u on hold and wont even come back to the phone line. Looking at all the other comments with similar experiences on here, this is sad, just sad.

I placed a pick up order at 7 and it said it was confirmed, etc and didn’t say it was ready until 945. By that time the employees aren’t able to leave the building. I called in, telling the manager Yolanda and she so greatfully brought the items to the front door. Thanks so much Yolanda be safe

Came to pick up a prescription and was told it would be ready within 10-20min, went grocery shopping, came back about 2hrs later, stood in line only to be told they did not put the prescription in...please wait another 10min. Thats unacceptable, I know mistakes happen, but it shouldnt when it comes to peoples health and well being.

Pharmacy is HORRIBLE! Staff is decent, however the wait time for your prescriptions is awful. You can be healed by the time your medication is finally ready. Lines are extremely long in both the drive-thru, as well as inside the store. Took me THREE(3) DAYS to get some simple oral potassium!!! Also TWO(2) DAYS for my antibiotics!! Horrible!!!

I was on hold waiting for pharmacy for an hour... Terrible customer service!!!! Who has time to wait on phone for an hour to refill a subscription??? I’m moving to another pharmacy... Get more help!!!!!!Just a recap... it actually took in the end 2 1/2 hours.. had To finally call the The manager of the store… After three times of contacting the manager of the store and him taking my phone number and giving it to the pharmacy which I waited another hour and a half or… When I called back I told him to immediately walk to the pharmacy and I wanted to talk to somebody now… So in the long run 2 1/2 hours and when I finally talk to some in the pharmacy it literally took eight seconds To refill my script… And they asked me if I want to pick it up tonight… I said if I had a car I would’ve already been there and that dealing with the BS on the phone!!!!!

This is truly the worse pharmacy. The lines to pick up your prescriptions are so long. Once, there was actually a lady waiting in line actively having an asthma attack while waiting for her rescue inhaler. The staff didn’t even care. Interestingly, when I lived in Evanston, I never had this kind of trouble with the Walgreens pharmacy. I wonder why here there is such a lack of customer service. Shameful!

Ive mainly experienced bad communication and long wait times at this location. 3 visits to refill a simple prescription have cost me hours of my time in line and on the phone trying to straighten things out. Nice people but poor customer service overall.

I am a resident of South holland and all the years I have gotten photos done here and printed from my phone has been good, but this year 2017 in January I placed an order for 75 4x6 photos and came back to pick them up about two weeks ago and whenever was working that day when I placed my order didnt follow work protocol, lost my pictures and cant find them, so I lost memories of pictures that I had to delete from my phone, the reason I went to Walgreens was to get them printed. They. Couldnt do anything to help me. Thats bad business.

First of all the service for the pharmacy is horrible. My doctor sent my medication a hour before we got there and once we get there we have to wait in a god awful line. Once we were next they said rudely that our medication would be done by 5 and when my doctor sent the medication was at 2 it was 3:45 by now. As soon as we got home and settled they had the nerve to call to say it’s ready.I’m furious and very disrespectful

Pharmacy just hung up on me and I usually have to wait average a day to receive prescriptions. I called my doctors office to see what the issue was and they said they hadnt received any paperwork. I call back and a polite guy answered and said the pharmacist made the wrong notes in the wrong place. He transferred me and the pharmacist picked up and hung up after I was on hold for 20 min

I do not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. They are unprofessional and unorganized. I came to pick up my prescription like i always have and they tell me there is a issue with my insurance and have my insurance call the pharmacy. Ok no problem. I have my insurance call in(multiple times) ....the pharmacy claims they havent gotten any phone calls...all while im on the phone with my insurance who then provides me with the pharmacy name and title they spoke with. The rude girl at the window says to have my insurance call in again to the direct pharmacist because my insurance has never called in. Im guess she was annoyed i was so admit about getting my prescription. So my insurance call in again, just to tell me the prescription was never ready after 2hrs of wasted time and i should come back. Ridiculous!

Without question, this is one of the most inept Walgreens staff ever encountered!! They are extremely rude, un-knowledgeable, and downright worst staffed group to be working in a retail operation. The Pharmacy is the WORST!! And thats top to bottom. The managers are as bad as the non- manager staff. Walgreens should consider if this is what they want as representation of the company. I will avoid this place as much as possible; Osco pricing on Medications are cheaper and they price match!! Much better customer service ad well.

Worst pharmacy. They dont contact you if your medicine is out of stock, nor do they try to get it. Instead you find out when you go to pick it up & they send you to another Walgreens- which you would then have to wait yet again.After a few months of this bs, I switched to CVS down the street.
