Great local shop for hidden gems and pieces of history - not just coins & jewelry either - there is artwork, heirloom pocket watches and lots of other miscellaneous treasures. I really enjoyed speaking with the owners and they were very attentive to my questions. Will be returning!

Absolutely delighted to find this shop! It looks unassuming from the parking lot but there were enough treasures inside to keep us occupied for hours. The owners are friendly and engaging, and they set fair prices on beautiful antique and vintage pieces. Definitely a must-visit if you like older jewelry and historical art/curiosities. And out of Know where I looked up And I saw a giant rat came around the corner And his name is Steven J Edwards He was snooping around looking to steal customers Because Steven J Edwards is so jealous over Martins Coin & Jewelry . This business is the real deal.They know their stuff.I have always been treated with respect even while starting out as a coin and antique collector.I feel comfortable spending several hours in the store going thru their junk silver, their culls /slabs and other interesting collectibles.They are thriving in these times because they are open. honest. and available.I have brought other collectors and friends to Vermont Coin and they have had great fun getting to know the crew.They have a wonderful approach of giving away freebies of numismatic folders and periodicals if they have extras.This place can get busy and spending a couple hours there can be a real treat as you interact with staff and clients!!!!!

As my 1st time selling any coins, I found Joe to be informative, patient and honest. Quite frankly, I dont understand where all the negative reviews are coming. Give them a shot! There is absolutely no pressure to sell your items the same day you go in.

This is by far the best place to go to sell and buy your gold, silver, and antique collectibles to. Everyone is super helpful and aimed to make you happy when you leave. They are knowledgeable and will give you a great deal. No one will do you better than these guys. This is the only shop in Burlington you should frequent, its always worth the visit.

Im 11 and went there a month ago, Joe along with the other staff members where very nice! I walked out with a bunch of wheat cents for my folders a long with a Morgan, liberty head nickel, silver rosy, barber dime, Franklin, steel cent and a Ike bicentennial for my coins of the Twentieth century folder. I also got a gold coin valued, very happy with the estimate and overall wonderful experience! Would highly recommend going!

Ten out of ten for this store. I bought an Ever Us white gold and diamond ring for my fiancé. The ring is beautiful, the price was great, and the staff went over and above the call of duty to help me find the right ring. Ill be there again - for another ring, this week. The prices are astronomically low and its so refreshing to see beautiful rings instead of the run of the mill mass produced stuff offered by some of the larger jewelry stores. I also like the fact this store has character; personality, and class! I covet their oil painting of Lincoln and remain fascinated by their huge range of coins and antique oddities. Its a great place, you can trust them, and their prices are fantastically reasonable.

I came in to sell a brand new Figarope necklace. Before I came in I checked the price of gold and calculated the scrap value that I should get. The staff weighed my chain and verified that it was 14 karat. This was the only cordial and respectful part of the interaction. Once the negotiation began, there was absolutely no negotiation. The staff offered me an insulting low price and told me to take it or leave it. Having been to several jewelers, I understand there is always a negotiation process. Unless, you want to get ripped off dont come in for a visit.

Had a great experience with the owner, he was very helpful and courteous. Gave me a great price on some nifty pieces of jewelry for my girlfriend. Recommend this place if youre looking for something different!

I spoke with a woman earlier in the week in regards to a wedding set that was told to me of being no value. Along with six sets of coins that we face value $2 each. I went to another jewler that gave me a great deal on what I was selling. A loss for them and a win for me. I would not do business with them ever very rude over the phone.

Its not always easy to let go of estate items especially when sentiment is involved. I visited the Vermont Coin & Jewelry after a referral from Wobbys in Barre. They were kind, considerate and compassionate. I highly recommend stopping by to speak with any of the staff especially Joe & Tammy. I found them very knowable and fair.

The owners were so kind and I felt very at ease there. They gave me what I think was more than a fair price for the ring I was selling!!! I highly recommend them!

I have done a few deals with Steve and have gotten very good prices for my gold jewelry that I no longer wanted. It is a better way to sell than on ebay (who takes 15%). He also worked with me on some other piece of jewelry and I found him to be pleasant, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Would definitely recommend going there!

I sold them silver once with no issues.I went back a few weeks later & without any reason they refused to buy my silver. The woman was very sketchy about it, for unknown reasons.They made me feel like I had done something wrong.I went right on over to Martins Coin & Jewelry on Shelburne road and he was happy to buy my silver!! I was motivated to leave a review because, like many others, our house was broken into a few months ago in Waitsfield and after the police investigation we were told that a Jerry Savo had probably sold our items to Stephen Edwards at Vermont Coin and Jewelry. Unfortunately, it seems certain transactions were never recorded, as reported by the Shelburne News article, and we will see any of things taken from our home again. Now, after seeing a 5 star review left by this Nicholas Brice who was caught stealing from dorm rooms at UVM and breaking into homes (on the WCAX news), it would certainly seem that Mr. Edwards is enabling this criminal activity and is a direct accomplice. HOW CAN THEY STILL BE IN BUSINESS?!I see that you have taken the time to reply -I have been so disgusted and distressed over this whole ordeal that I really do not have much more to say other than I really do not understand how you are still in business. We know that you walked Savo out of the store to warn him that the police were asking about him. In my mind you are an accomplice to each of the crimes committed by each thieve you knowingly bought stolen property from. I pray that you get the help you need and that something is actually done for the people who have had their valuable property stolen and their homes violated. Plus the thing you did to that poor old lady in the nursing home???

Looks like a hole in the wall. The jewelry looks like it belongs in a flee market. Pays under the rate of weight to price of gold. Don’t waste your time go somewhere else.

Visited hundreds of shops over 40 years and award my prize for arrogance to this little place in Vermont. You have better choices.

Very rude and acted as if I didn’t know what I had, we drove over from New York and was treated horribly by the man and woman there. I asked for my spoons to be checked and they said they aren’t coin Silver they wouldn’t check them. Worst experience I have had in Vermont from anyone, this place is even worse than the New York rip offs.
