Janet and Jim are the best to work with. They go above and beyond planning and figuring what works best for your project. We recently bought two 26 laminated beams for a deck project. These were certainly not something that would be available at your local box store. Jim figured out what would work best for our project. When they arrived they were absolutely beautiful! During the epidemic my friend and I set out to transform a shed on his property into a fully functioning sauna. We defined the concept and started collecting materials. When it came time to source the heart wood, vertical grain, clear cedar t&g and beveled siding there was none to be had. We looked everywhere from Chicago to Michigan City and no one could get what we wanted. Until K-Wood! I stumbled across them on google and with in 24 hours of my first call they had sourced and priced my take off. The following week they delivered (and helped unload!!) the entire interior cedar order! K-Wood Products is a friendly family run business, where they truly care about their customers. Each customer receives personal attention from their qualified staff. They carry quality products at reasonable prices, and are very conveniently located on IN Highway 2 just off the US 20 bypass in South Bend. They carry a wide variety of home improvement and maintenance products and can usually obtain any special order items that are needed. When we built our home, we ordered everything from lumber, to shingles and cabinets from K-Wood. Everything received was high quality - not like you get from the big box stores. K-Wood is an excellent place to conduct business.

When ever we are dong a project and want quality wood, we always go to K-wood. I have built barns, remodeled house and general home needs. The wood that K-wood carries is of the highest quality. I dont need to sort through the stack to find a straight board they are always straight. We just did a deck project and we have had several people asked where did we get the materials and I gladly recommend K-wood.

K-Wood was great to work with when we ordered our trusses that included an attic room. The layout was easy to follow and the trusses were of high quality.The rough framing lumber was estimated correctly and again the quality was top notch.

So, in the last two months I have been getting a house ready to put on the market and have spent around $4000 between Lowe’s and Menards, on many trips. After needing a few things in the last few days of getting this house ready, I decided to go to K Wood products because it was a lot closer to where I’m working. I now wish I had spent all that money at K Wood. All of their prices on the things I needed were right on par with the box stores but the help I received there far exceeded what I’ve experienced elsewhere. The lumber I bought there seemed to be a better quality as well. Even little things like letting me know there was a better type screw for the application I was using it for. The fact that it is family owned and operated makes it even better. It may be “convenient” to buy your groceries when you’re buying the lumber for your deck, but do yourself a favor and try out K Wood. You won’t regret it. If you’re not sure they’ll have what you need, call them first and ask, everyone there was so pleasant to deal with. I live in the same area as K Wood and it makes me feel better knowing that the money I spend there supports where I live. I will definitely be going back when I need little things and stuff for the big projects.

This is a great family owned business. I generally buy my long lumber here ( over 12 foot) because their delivey charge is only 15 dollars. Compare to Menards where it is a flat 89 dollars. And you can usually get your delivery in a couple of hours. The place might look small but its big on inventory. I highly recommend them!

K-Wood is a great place to go if you need help with any building project - big or small. The staff is as friendly as they are knowledgeable and will go out of their way to see you through your project from beginning to end. If youre looking for hardware, plumbing, tools etc, theyve managed to pack the shop with all the essentials as well as some things you didnt know you needed!

In roughly in 1970 we built our house with all the material from K-Wood including Anderson Windows. This is when we first met your dad when he was building boxes and then started selling lumber. We are still living in our house and still go to K-Wood for all our home and yard needs.

I Learned of K wood products from a contractor that was roofing my house. My wife and wanted to re-side our house with cedar, so we decided to check this place out. WOW! I was blown away by the personalized service we got, plus a lot of good information about hanging cedar siding. I felt that this was the place to purchase our siding! The truck driver was also very congenial! There was very little scrap from product defects. I think i had 2 1/2 rubbermaid barrels of ends and pieces that couldnt be used when the job was done ( most of my pieces had angle cuts on each end) GREAT PLACE TO DO BUSINESS !!!!!!!!!!

They always have great limber. The big box stores I have seen buy green wood that will worp and twist if you dont get it in to a wall immediately. I dont want to think about what it dos in the wall. I have asked them from time to time about recomendations for people to do work on my property and every time they have recomended someone, the person is the best.
