Say what you will about Cedar Hill, but they pick up their phone during their stated office hours and the folks working there are courteous, professional and helpful. Ive purchased rocks and mulch from this business multiple years and every engagement has been perfect. Delivery drivers are professional and arrive on time (or early!). They work with you to dump the product where you like it. Ive had no issues with them. I encourage anyone in the area looking for landscaping materials to check them out. Their pricing may not be the best, but their service is what makes them stand out. Hope they continue this way to conducting good business!

John and Caleb are very professional and honest. Working with them is easy and biggest thing is you can TRUST them. It is very easy to be taken advantage of in this industry, but they are very honest and good to work with.I used them to remove soil from my property and bring topsoil in. I currently serve as the Township Manager as well as the former Director of Public Works for the Township of Lakewood, NJ 08701.It was in the position preparing for weeks of lengthy ice storms and snow storms in mid February. A quick message to their website and I was given a call within less than an hour...Wow!I had a thousand tons of bulk salt already being prepared and delivered within less than 24 hours. I would highly recommend cedar Hill for not only bulk salt delivery but up to including any all other contracting work they do. For a vendor to stop and to understand a position my government entity or a private vendor could be in at any time is something that has been long forgotten in our industry. We got a delivery of mulch from Cedar Hill recently. It was the nicest mulch we have ever gotten and our front yard looks amazing now!

I reached out to Caleb at Cedar Hill as I could not find a company on Long Island that delivered screened organic topsoil. He was very honest and professional. He advised me that I might find someone closer at a lower cost (due the my location and the cost to pay from bridges, etc. to deliver from NJ to Suffolk County), but also provided me with an estimate if I chose to go with Cedar Hill. He explained how they test their soil at Rutgers University and I have yet to find someone in NY that has the same standards. I would recommend this business to my family in New Jersey. I ordered one yard delivered to my house. I was given a 1/2 yard, when I complained they shorted me John said if I got a truck they would give me another half yard for free. I paid for it delivered cause I don’t have a truck, then he said if we have to deliver it to you we will give you a discount. So I paid around $165.00 for my first yard that was only half a yard, and I ordered another yard delivered afraid they would short me again and paid $150.87. WOW, so now I have extra rock and paid a total of around $315.00 for what I needed cause you shorted me??? Horrible horrible horrible take your business elsewhere or you also might get ripped off. Everyone makes mistakes, but own your mistake, and rectify the situation.

We contracted with Cedar Hill for a soil removal project in the beginning of this very wet summer. The owner and his family treated us as though we were their only concern. They always made time for site visits, planning and progress meetings. Cedar Hill worked around the weather to bring the project on time and within budget. A harder working and consciences contractor are far and few. Highly recommended!
