Friendly, quick service at this location! We had the misfortune of having our alternator go out while traveling. On a Friday night as we were packing up for the 500 mile drive home, we realized the electrical system was not working. We were so relieved that Midas was not only open on Saturday, but were able to get us right in to diagnose, repair, and get us on our way back home.

NO FOLLOW THROUGH! I have had several interactions with this location over the past 4 years where I call for a quote or to find a part and do not receive any return calls. Most recently, while shopping for tires, I called for a quote early in the day, was told their system was down and they couldnt order tires. I stopped by the shop on my way home from work and was told they had sent a message to corporate about the issue and hadnt heard back. I asked them to get me some quotes when they could as I was still interested. 2 weeks later, no response. Again, this scenerio has played out multiple times along with other minor issues when I have decided to use their services ( the mechanic left my oil cap off once, lug nuts were loose another time) that they have made right but still should not happen with the frequency that seems to occur here. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!

Slow to help and over price

Went in to this place last Saturday with 37 in tires to be mounted on the rims. I just bought these tires witch r brand new and everything looked great . I asked if they can perform the work and they said yes. After a hour the manager came out to say there was already a hole in the sidewall of one of my tires. I said to him he doesnt have to lie, they made a mistake and instead of making it right they tried to hide it with bead sealer . So 2 very illegal things they did . So I asked what r u going to do about this and again the manager said nothing sue me its my fault cause I brought the tires to them instead of going to alyeska tire. Worst attitude ever to be dealing with customers. I wish I didnt have to give a star at all. They definitely dont know what they r doing to put a inch and a half hole in the tires and again try to hide it . Stay away from these people

Made an appointment for noon the other day for an oil change and tire changeover. (Bought the tires there last fall.) Got there right on time. An hour later, they had not even touched my car. I asked what the point is in making an appointment, and was told that, Its like a doctors office. The doctor gets behind and cant see you on time. No apology or an estimate of when they would get to me. I canceled and left. To top it off, they had an open bay and a guy out mowing the grass the whole time I was there. I think they should think about the customers first and not worry about cutting the grass!

They are very kind and helpful. They let me make payments. When the part took a week to get here for my heater they didnt charge for labor to install it. Thank God and thank you Mike too!! Kathy at the front desk is very nice and kind as well ❗😊

Really good customer service and polite even though it wasng quite what I was looking for

I took my car in for a grinding brake, and bad rotor, ended up with 2 new rotors, new pads and 2 new calipers, it was frigid so I chose to have a shop do the job, all the parts were quoted and I agreed to have the repair.

They broke my glove box and blamed the dealer I bought my car from as opposed to owning up to their mistakes and doing what is right. Currently have to go back and forth with them to get the part ordered and installed. Accidents happen and that was not the issue, the issue is admiting to the fault and immediately finding a solution for the customer.

Left several messages as no one answers phone. No one returns messages either.Are the still in business?

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation, I was happy with the work so a week later when my car developed some suspension issues I returned to have them diagnose it. Told me it was wheel bearings and quoted me to fix it. After keeping my car for two days telling me they were still working they finally admitted they didnt have the parts yet and wouldnt for three more days. I went to a shop in Anchorage to get it done who let me know the bearings are fine, it was the tie rods and they recommended a tire rotation since it looked like they hadnt been done recently.

Very good service. I was happy that they offer fiancing....the finacing had a crazy high interest rate....but if you paid it off in 90 days...no interest!

The prices are very expensive and I get that certain issues cost more; however I called a few other mechanics and asked what they charge and it was completely outrageous the difference in how much more they were charging me for only half the job getting fixed. If I would have got all fixed, it was going to cost me $1700. They fixed front break and break line that broke for $700 and said if I got the back breaks fixed it would be that much more. Even someone that knows nothing about cars knows that is way to much for just brakes when they already fixed the break line.

Horst & Co. provided great service when I rolled in after a scary drive from Anchorage. They were helpful and very thorough. Highly recommended!

Great service and fast service. Best prices on the Kenai Peninsula. They did my 2010 Dodge 3500 (6 tires) under 2 hrs.

My husband takes his truck here for some of his oil changes and this year we bought studded tires here and had them mounted and balanced and put on the vehicle. When we bought the tires during change over season they said for me to leave them there over night and they would mount and balance the tires to our winter rims and we could come in and get them put on our truck the next day. I left our rims and old tires with them and after the new tires (which we got a discount/special on) got put on the next day I noticed that the wheel covers were missing and was told that they were not on the rims when we brought them in when in fact they were. When the tires were put on the tire monitor system was not hooked up or reset so the notification is always displayed. We have not had a chance to head back to Midas to have them check it out.Other than the issue with our winter rims and tire sensors, this is a good, quick place to get your oil changed and they usually have a special or coupon that can be used too.

Over SIX hours for one oil change. Will take my car to the Auto Spa in Soldotna from now on.

Horrible place....manager did not remember our scheduled appointment time, came back three times and then was charged more than what we were quoted. Very poor customer service. Do Not Recommend this place. The manager acts like he does not need the business....very rude!

Called ahead and asked if there was a wait, as I had a Doctors appointment later, and they said “No wait- they would be willing to fix my flat in 30 minutes” I drove straight there waited 20 minutes and they still hadn’t even pulled my car into the empty bay they had for tires. So after I saw many of the employees standing around and listening to the manager have a 10 minute conversation about eating fish for lunch and planning on eating halibut tomorrow, I asked about how long it would be, and they said over an hour. I reminded the manager (Horst Haunold) I had just called to ask the same question before I came, and he replied very rudely they would get to it when they get to it, and said if I didn’t like it take my business somewhere else.MORAL OF THE STORY -take your business to someone who appreciates customer service. For me that was GOODWRENCH

My friend had an appointment at 1pm brought his own oil to boot and yes we are aware there is about 45 mins wait time. Its been about 2 hours or more. The truck comes out and he checks his oil ands its over full about 2 gallons.. and now we are still waiting for them to drian it and leave to continue with our trip. He was fully refunded for everything but still our time was wasted not once but twice with 2 different oil changes to make it right. Definitely NOT coming back.

Old man behind the counter a bit saucy and masagonistic but they helped my friend and for us on our way.

They removed an old wheel hub bearing and installed a new one for my side by side, when I couldnt find anyone else to do it and did it while I waited.

A lot of people seem to have had good experiences with Midas, so I took my car into Midas in Soldotna to get my tires changed over. I can get past my car being forgotten by them for an entire day, being that it is tire change over season. But the part that I cant excuse is having my car falsely diagnosed. They told me that the tie rod ends were worn out and about to come off but when I took it to another shop to have them replaced, they told me that they were as good as new and that I had been misled. They even showed me the part. Bottom line, I will not be taking my vehicle to Midas in Soldotna again because they falsely drummed up a diagnosis to make more money off of me. I cant trust that way of doing business.
