The outdoor seating was nice and shady. I enjoyed the pesto chicken sandwich. The salad was pretty good and so was the iced latte. I didn’t think anything really stood out except for the madeleines.

Seatings are primarily outside which some of them are not shaded by the umbrellas. So you can work on your tan while you eat.Ordering inside.Ham sandwich not bad. Cornichons added to the flavor on the crunchy sandwich. Ham was average.

Hole in the wall French Bakery. Owner is French and is there. Nicely made, has clear French taste. Pet friendly - several people brought their dogs. Nice place to enjoy a breakfast or lunch. Id go back there again.

Almond croissant was amazing. Service was personal and friendly. The patio is very comfortable with lots of shade. I also enjoyed their coffee.

I’m not one to rant and about food, but the breakfast my wife and I enjoyed was amazing.The meal/sauces transported us back to when we lived in Annemasse France twenty years ago.Whenever we are in the area, this will be a ‘must’ stop for us.

First time visiting. It was mediocre for me & I found both meals that I ordered to be extremely pricey for the small portions served. I will not be returning. 3 stars for a cozy area.

All I can think of about this place is : why I didnt discovered this before ?!!!!! Omg its just so good to be true ! I forgot the name of my meal but is no doubt one of the best breakfast Ive had ! And the double Expresso its a real Expresso ! Not expensive as many would think and great service!

Unfortunately I cant agree with the reviews I arrived at 3:34 there were only two customers sitting outside and the owner or person working was leaning on a table chatting with them ... thats great I like friendly places but he left me waiting at the counter/register until 3:43 just to come tell me the kitchen was closed. They dont close until 4pm and he could have said that when I walked past them and said hello, instead of letting me wait for nothing. Rude.

Very good pastries and french food. They helped me out in a pinch with desserts for a dinner party. Order ahead online a day in advance for large orders. You wont be disappointed.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! We brought 4 of our young adult children with us for brunch. The owner was absolutely welcoming and accommodating!! The young man clearing the tables & bringing food to the table was hustling the entire time to ensure everyone is comfortable!!! AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING SERVICE & AMAZING ATMOSPHERE!!! Cest Magnifique! I had the most delicious croque-monsieur sandwich here. Thats a ham and cheese sandwich on brioche bread with bechamel sauce, toasted. The bechamel had a proper hit of nutmeg and all the other ingredients were first quality. There was also a small salad on the plate with a mustardy and well-seasoned vinaigrette. Not cheap but worth a small splurge. The coffee was OK. I also got an almond croissant to go that was buttery and crispy with a nice amount of filling. They make French classics very well here.The place was clean, including the bathroom. The server/cashier was very friendly and efficient. Parking is not ample but not too hard to get a free spot on Cedros Ave during weekday lunch time. The cafe is in the middle of a shopping district that specializes in home furnishings but there are also clothing and jewelry boutiques about. Ill certainly return.

Having eaten here many times for lunch, I decided to try their dinner menu tonight.What a treat it was... we started with quiche Lorraine and the asparagus with hollandaise to start, washed down with a Sancerre (sauv blanc) amazing!To follow, the Duck confit and a chicken pasta dish were shared. Each superb in its own right.A glass of Bordeaux helped this course and it was very good.As if we hadn’t eaten enough, a lavender Creme Brûlée to finish with an espresso.Tres bien! Merci Emmanuel et Stephen!Served by the owners, it was a rare treat to behold.High marks for food, wine and service.

A beautiful, quaint French Cafe. I stopped in briefly to meet my wife and quickly downed a California Crepe with an egg on top and a dark coffee ☕️. Yum! Both were top notch, I’ll certainly be returning and be will post an updated more complete review once we sit for a proper meal and experience. Certainly pay them a visit!

I just had the most wonderful experience at this place. I have never been but it was recommended by my friend Who is a chef! I ordered the croque madame with a scrambled egg! OMG it was freaking delicious! The bread was fresh, crispy and buttery! The side salad was excellent! The food melted in my mouth. The outdoor patio was super cute. The weather was amazing!!! The service was excellent!!! If your in the area I highly recommend this place for brunch and mimosas!!!!

This is a stop that I always make when in the area. I love it so much I always take extra home. Cant get enough of their super yummy vinaigrette!

I grew up in Paris so always looking for good quality bakeries which are difficult to find. This place has the most authentic croissant & pain au chocolat in the area and good espresso too.

Very nice find on a mini vacation. Croque Madame was served exquisitely, as it should be. Latte was very good as well, and I have drank a LOT of lattes. Will be back each morning during my stay.

FANTASTIC FRENCH CAFE ! My wife and I decided to check out this newly opened cafe today. We popped in around midday for lunch and were greeted very nicely by Phil behind the counter. We ordered a couple of Caramel Macchiatos and a Roma open face sandwich to share. The service was very quick and our hot coffees arrived at our table in a blink. Not long after our delicious looking Roma sandwich was delivered. Considering this cafe opened only 3 days ago it was doing brisk business at lunch time. We absolutely enjoyed our amazing coffees and our delightful sandwich which were both beautifully presented. French panache meets California cool. We met Emmanuel the co-owner a very charming man who will no doubt make this lovely cafe very successful. They also serve genuine French wine here and Emmanuel told us a range of locally sourced craft beers is coming soon. Looks like a winner on the Cedros strip to me !

BEST LUNCH SPOT IN SOLANA BEACH ! My wife and I have been here many times for lunch and for breakfast. Emmanuel the classy co-owner knows how to look after his customers. Today we ordered a couple of caramel lattes and a Croque Monsieur sandwich to share. Our drinks and the fabulous sandwich were on our table within a very short time. Everything tasted excellent as we are accustomed to at this fabulous little cafe. Emmanuel comes by and has a chat as he does with all his valued customers. It ticks our boxes for quality food & beverages, good value and excellent customer service. They serve lovely French wine & good beer here too !

Everything is wonderful but the pastry is very good. Coffee drinks need to be served a little hotter. The people are very nice and acommadating.

A pretty face that doesnt deliver. The Croque Monsieur tasted like a toasted cheese with chewy ham. Disappointing. The expresso egg-shaped tart, albeit gorgeous, lacked expresso flavor and a variety of texture. Even the latte tasted benign. The service was good, the atmosphere airy, but Ive had much better.In response to the owner. Ive been to France. Just because your products come from France, does not mean they are prepared well all of the time. Your response, like over-cooked Mornay sauce, did not pour well.

Waiting 20 min for my tea. Had to go get it myself. After 30 min had to ask for my omelette that was sitting getting cold. I was completely ignored. Ya they were busy with a bunch of take outs, but The was the worse I’ve experienced in quite a while. Omelette was just ok.
