This is by far the best uhaul location in the country. Their primary business is a storage facility, a very clean, well lit and secure storage facility. The folks that run this location are friendly and very helpful. I have a storage unit here and often rent U-Haul trucks for my side gig. They really don’t have much control over U-Haul, but they try very hard to be sure you have the truck you need when you need it and if they don’t because someone didn’t return on time, they’ll do their best to find a close location for you. You can’t judge these folks by U-Haul policies, you can judge these folks on their incredible level of service and willingness to do what you need. I feel very comfortable leaving my car here with the level of security onsite- you can’t say that about most U-Haul spots, IF they let you leave your car. If you have a choice, rent trucks or storage here - if it’s a little far, I promise it’s worth it.

The owners here are fantastic and maintain a clean and safe facility with a very high level of customer service. Grateful for them.

If I could give fewer stars, I would. These people are dishonest. Do not go here. I rented a Uhaul truck and it was given to be with less than a quarter of a tank of gas so that they could charge me a $30 fee for returning it with less than a quarter tank. I drove less than 19 miles (17.5 actual) and they charged me for 6 gallons of gas. Stay away from this dishonest and disagreeable location. They will squeeze every dime out of you. Just wrong.

I rent uHauls all the time and I used to use a different UHaul rental location closest to the customers…That is until I met Steven and Christine at Your Extra Attic Vinings location.Steven and Christine run the place and words can not describe how amazing they are.They go above and beyond to help me every single step of the way and are so great I got a storage unit there for my supply’s and no longer bounce from uHaul to UHaul.Let’s put it this way…they are so amazing I only rent uHauls from them and I rent uHauls 3-4 times a week.I don’t care if the customer is located in South Georgia I would rather pay the extra money on UHaul miles just so I can deal with Steven and Christine.I have not read the other reviews on here but if there are any bad ones it is 100% because the person writing the bad review it’s because that person was having a bad day and decided to take it out on Steven and Christine.Seriously the place is great, the people are great and the place is seriously so clean!!!If I could give them 10 stars I would!!!THANK YOU Steven and Christine for always having my back, looking out for me and being so helpful and caring.

They will work with you if you need to rent a truck and they have any other equipment or accessories that you may need. I would highly recommend YEA to anyone needing a storage facility!

This facility is an incredible find if you need extra storage. It is clean, well-run, and safe. Steve and Christine are extremely helpful and will work with you to facilitate your needs. We had items in storage there during the marketing of our home and have just upgraded to a larger size since the home has sold. They even suggested a mover who was equally fabulous. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Les and Lynn Sims are the best. Handle everything with professionalism and they make you feel that your stuff is going to be safe and sound. It is a wonderful atmosphere and we love driving right up to our unit. We were shown around for ouroptions and then when we needed a second unit, we were able to get one two units down from our other one. Paul is always helpful too. This is a great location for usas we are in the heart of Vinings and it is the back way into the village so it takes only 5 minutes to get there. So far, we have had a great experience with Your Extra Attic. Signing up for the storage unit was a breeze, they showed us multiple units to decide which one we prefer. Everyone on staff was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The facilities were very clean and nice. The units were very tall, which allowed for us to store a lot more in a unit. The facility provided all the moving materials we needed and made it as convenient as possible for us. Not to mention, the pricing was by far the best we could find for indoor storage.

As far as storage facilities go, this location is top notch. Very clean and welcoming environment. Also great ease of access; ample amounts of loading docks/doors, roomy elevators for moving of the larger items and easy access to the individual units. Not to mention the staff are very pleasant and helpful. And most important, I feel that my items are safe and secure.

During my plans to relocate from Florida to Georgia, I was a bit apprehensive about where I could store my personal effects, but after speaking to Les and Lynn, I knew this was where I wanted to be. We rented a storage unit at Your Extra Attic Vinings as well as returned a U-Haul truck there. Lynn and Les were very friendly and helpful. We really like the convenient access to our unit and trolleys available for moving things in and out. Being able to pay online is a plus! -------- Update!After 5 months weve now upgraded to a larger unit. Still very pleased with the facility and service. There are plenty of trolleys there and one is always available when we come. (That was a real problem at our last place!) Being able to purchase packing supplies right there is also very convenient.

My experience with Your Extra Attic/Vinings started two years ago when I was looking for a storage facility close to home. I met Les and Lynn the first time that I went by. I was in the process of packing for my move to the Vinings area. They were very helpful in helping me select boxes and other moving supplies. When I told them that I had not found a mover, they gave me a referral that did an excellent job moving me. Over the past two years, we have established a friendship. I know that I can pay my bill on line or over the phone, but sometimes I go there so that I can visit with Les and Lynn. They come highly recommended by me!

For an industry that appears to have a storage facility on every corner, customer service is often what sets you apart from the other guy.Les and Lynn may have been the most helpful people i have ever encountered in a service industry:-The software system was down, so they went old school and registered me the old fashioned way...pen and paper (it was quick).-After a week I realized I needed a larger unit...no problem. I could not get there til after hours, so Les left the new unit open for me so I could move all of my belongings when I got there.-Rented a U-haul from them and forgot to fill up the tank in the truck. Les left me a courtesy call and allowed me to come back and fill up the truck (i did).Nice facility, clean, well run, and above & beyond customer service. I cant praise them enough.

Your Extra Attic at Vinings is such a convenient location! Lynn and Les Sims are so willing to assist you in any way possible. The facility is spotless and it is so easy to access my storage area using the large bay doors! Over the course of my adult life, there have been several occasions that required storage usage. I have to say, this has been my best experience!

Very nice and clean faculty, needed storage for 2 years and 10 months everything was as I left it. My only problem was that the price went up just after a year and when I returned to pick up in November I forgot the keys to the lock on my storage, I was charged 25.00 to have it removed, which was no problem but when I went to pay Christine she said give it to my husband he did the work, and I did thinking it was a charge for the company not a side hustle for her husband, well he put it in his pocket without any hesitation.

I try to rent from them, it look like a great facility with docking doors as an added benefit; however, there was no incentives or offers and the prices are much higher than the competition.With so many options around the are, they are the most expensive of all.you have 3 other options within 2 miles with all of them been significantly cheaper.

I rented a moving van from here, Service was excellent and prompt. Returning van was a simple and easy process. Ill most likely return to this location in the future for the next move!

Steve and Christine are completely unprofessional. They dont understand how computers work and screwed up an entire days worth of scheduling, while berating their customers. They then got in a fight in front of me and 4 other customers about the miscommunication. Steve proceeded to tell me that he preferred the Taliban over his wife, which made me incredibly uncomfortable. I dont recommend this business at all.

There to pick up a u-haul for moving. Very efficient & friendly staff

I rented a 17 moving truck on Friday, March 3rd from the Vinings location. The renting process went smoothed. Due to the late return time (4:45 pm) on Sat., March 4th, I was informed that if I went beyond the time & the office was closed on Sat. I could drop the truck off & place the keys in the dropbox. However, if I did not drop off the truck before the office reopened I would receive a charge on Monday for the additional days. I was all set to move & thought I would have the truck returned by the time on Sat. Unfortunately, the property I was scheduled to move into was not ready. This put me in a pickle, but I was prepared to deal with the lemons. This is where the service with U-haul went down. I received a call first thing Monday morning regarding the truck from the part-time rep & explained what happened & requested an extension. He set up the extension, & I was sent a text message confirming the extension. While he was setting up my extension, the rep felt it necessary to share that the other reason he was following up was because trucks are stolen, striped & sold because it’s Atlanta. I did not ask for this information & unsure of why he felt a need to share the information because I had no intent of stealing a u-haul truck. He informed me if I needed to extend the truck beyond Tues., I could call. Well, the next morning, I received back-to-back calls from the manager before the advertised U-haul office hours. I was unsure why I received so many calls because I extended the rental & received a confirmation. I called back as soon as I had an opportunity & the Manager basically firmly informed me that I had the truck well beyond the rental agreement & wanted to know when I was returning the truck. I explained that I spoke with the rep on Monday & received an extension until Tues. with the same 4:45 pm return time. I also informed her that I received a confirmation text of the extension & offered to forward the information. She stated that she didnt see the extension in the system as if she didnt believe me. She then went on to state that I was going to be charged for the additional days in a tone as if I could not afford the extra charges. I stated that I was perfectly aware of the charges & I would contact her if I needed additional time. Meanwhile, my card was being charged. Well, I ended up needing the rental for an entire week & I called in to request the extensions for each day. On Friday, March 10th, I squared away my move, & planned to return the truck. I received an equipment recovery email from the Regional Traffic Office stating that they needed to recover the overdue rental. I was annoyed by this email because I extended the rental & my card was being charged by U-haul. I came to the office turned in the rental & received by final bill. The manager stated that she could not process the final payment. I didnt understand why she couldn’t because the money was available. I went into my banking app & noticed I had a lot of charges from U-haul. My bank thought it was suspicious activity & would not allow the transactions to go through until I confirmed the charges were legitimate. I approved U-haul with my bank to finalize my payment. I shared with the manager my concerned for possibly being overbilled because of all of the additional charges. She stated that I would only get billed for the final amount. I requested a print out of my bill. She stated with an unprofessional tone that I would receive a copy via email (I never received it). I still requested a print out bill. Well, my account was overbilled. I called U-haul on Sat. March 11th to inform them, they stated they would check into the charges & call me back. I never received a call back. When I had the rental, U-haul kept calling me. I called my bank on March 14th to dispute the extra charge on my end. E. Stokes

Your Extra Attic is a top quality storage facility. They have several loading docks where you can back your Uhaul right up to a large garage-type door, making it really easy to get your stuff in and out. The building is secure--you have to have a code to get in. They have two huge elevators for getting your stuff up to one of the top floors (my unit is on the 4th floor and it was no problem at all). They provide plenty of flat bed carts for making your trips easy and few. Climate control is really nice, and they have a lot of little things that make the whole experience pleasant--like how theres a convenient and clean bathroom on the main floor, a broom and dust pan for sweeping out your Uhaul before you turn it in (to them, which is convenient), and their elevators even smell good! lol. Plus, the owners are super nice and helpful. Definitely would recommend. Just wish they were closer to the city!

This is the second time I have used Your Extra Attic in Vinings because the prices are great and its a clean, BIG facility! I just starting using them again because one of my work Collegues had our business supplies in CUBESMART not even 1/4 of a mile from this facility. There is no comparision between the 2 facilities! Our company was being Gouged by the rates CubeSmart was charging us and Your Extra Attic was only too happy to give our company the proper reasonable rate!!! Go check them out or call if you are looking for a storage facility.
