I had an extremely pleasant and good experience with Ian at this store. He handled my purchase smoothly and no problems. He was willing to take the time to answer any and all questions. If he didnt know he found out. It was worth the drive there to purchase my new outboard. I would highly recommend this store for your marine needs.

Had all I need to fix my dock,corner dock bumpers,new cleats, and new rub rail which I had to screw down with aluminum 1/4 inch flat stock. Only comes in 10ft

I usually don’t write reviews unless someone (store manager- Ian) or a company has poor service. Not only are items overpriced here, and there is a lack of inventory, but the customer service is very poor, starting with the store manager Ian. I bought 2 AGM batteries for $310 each in 2017 and the other in 2018. It is an absolute mystery why the newer one, only 3 years old, went bad halfway through the boating season. I called East Penn, who manufactures the batteries for West Marine, and they said AGM batteries should last a very long time, over 7 years, and a cell is probably bad in it; it happens.Matt the assistant manager offered me a gift card/exchange so I can buy a new battery because he felt bad, I even drove to the store. Then the store manager Ian found out and said no, offered zero help and was rude. I called corporate West Marine, and they apologized and said the store manager could exchange it for you, but he just flat out refused to/no options. I hope no one else has to deal with this store manager. I would have thought West Marine would have hired better store managers than this. Based on the other reviews clearly Im not the only one that has had a problem at this store. I have messaged corporate West Marine to inform them about this problem manager.

Staff is friendly. Some have more experience than others. Most of the items we wanted werent in stock. Everything had to be shipped to the store causing us to look elsewhere for what we needed

We were trying to locate an out door chair that was redesigned by manufacture, the new design basically made the chair vulnerable for failure.I called the store, Cody started the process and the store Manager Mrs. Rein got involve and in matter of 10 days they located the exact item we wanted from other stores, kept us in communication of the arrival.We will be definitely recommend this store to friends and family.

The store itself is ok depending on what you are looking for, but their web site is very incomplete and difficult to search with. They normally dont list small hardware along with several of the things the stores carry.

West Marine is one of the best places in town to find stuff for your boat.

I live over an hour away from the West Marine store. I needed some marine primer and made the trip in. I went to the paint aisle, I say paint aisle figuratively as there was next to nothing on the shelves. Staff told me issues with the warehouse. I prefer to shop locally and am not really an on-line shopper. However, this trip to West Marine wasted several hours of time and I ended up buying the primer through Ebay, anyway, and for a lot cheaper. Actually $19 less per quart. I do not have a lot of spare time and really wanted to do some painting on one of the nice days we have had in a while. I would have paid the extra money for the convenience of painting and not having to wait for delivery.I would give 1 star, but I have actually run into several staff there who are really helpful and invested in getting you what you need. Not their fault the shelves are bare. I have sworn off West Marine in the past, for this exact same reason, out of stock, but decided to give another chance. No more. I hate to say it, but buy online. I really hate that. I dont even own a computer, but these brick and mortar stores need to hold up their end of the bargain if they are to stand a chance.

Have a Monterey 282 CR and doing some work as needed myself, usually ask for Cody to help with parts and project information. He is knowledgeable, takes the extra time to walk you through a process if he doesnt know he researches parts and gives me options.Some parts are a bit high, I know that they will be well made and if there is a problem the return is great, only happened once and that was at the Lake Lanier location.Keep up the great work,

Lots of boat stuff you wont find at a lot of stores. I got a refrigerator and I water heater for my boat there. I had to have a refrigerator that operates on 12 volts. And a water heater that has a heat exchanger that will heat water from engine heat. The prices were as good as online pricing by the time you added in shipping. I also signed up for their gold rewards and got a boat us membership.

If your looking for boating supplies this is a great store. They also have a ton of stuff online if its not in the store. Overall Recommended!

I cant even rate this place, I called to confirm they had what I needed drove 40 min one way just to find out.. nope!They didnt even take the time to confirm before saying yes, I have two!What a waste of time and top all off the staff and manage has little or no boating knowledge.

A wasted trip. I did not see one person in the entire store even though I was standing next to the electronics stand trying to buy GPS gear. The place is run like a ghost town. How do they stay in business?!! Apparently, they only have one employee in here most of the time, who is a nice guy, but I sort of feel sorry for him running a big store by himself. I would imagine security would be a problem.

Overpriced, staff has no knowledge of their inventory, poor selection, difficult to find assistance. I overheard an employee asking another employee Did the last customer get taken care of? Long hair, ugly. It was right then that he noticed me STILL IN THE STORE. I called him out on it, and he just kind of laughed. I do not like being disrespected by anyone, especially a bunch of idiots with no idea or interest in what they are selling. I will never go back to this place. I say avoid this location at all cost. Go the Buford, that one is so much nicer.

Ordered anchor very nice one and called customer service 3 times and told it was on shipping dock for 2 day delivery 3 weeks in a row . No anchor no customer service. Found a new one on ebay and delivered in 2 days for a lot less. No more for West Marine.

Prices a bit above average here. Rather good selection of boat accessories and toys but service was disappointing. Didnt seem like the salespeople knew a lot about boat parts in general and couldnt answer simple questions. Also, the younger male salesperson seemed rude and irritated. Although this is probably the closest such store to home, I think Ill order online through another vendor and wait a few days rather than return here.
