Great selection of new and nostalgic items. The customer service is some of the best. I would give it 5 stars, but the prices are on the expensive side. My daughter was very happy with her purchases and in the end thats what was the most important.

2 Impolite cashiers, talking with each other, not greeting customers, not helpful. Third cashier taking her shift was very helpful.Nothing to do with the warm welcoming from Jacksonville or Durham.

Its a pretty cool store hot topic has a variety of things like they mostly have anime and disney things but they also have sum band t shirts and that stuff they also have makeup, nail polish and hair dye and body piecings

Hot topic had a few cute cloth masks left. Also found some nice tees and jewelry. They are having a great sale and their customer service was excellent 👌

This hot topic sometimes will have merchandise that is sold out online because its not very hotly trafficked. You can score some pretty good deals. Also every time Ive been here the workers have been very polite and helpful.

This is your typical Hot Topics store. I enjoy going in just to look around. They always have interesting things to see. There is never a shortage of Disney items. If you like Disney or other pop culture items like Harry potter, etc, youre bound to be able to find what you are looking for here. Sometimes they have good sales going on too. Check them out sometime. You can also buy online.

Decent location

This place has gone down hill, from merchandise that is not even stocked properly to workers that have no idea what they are doing we shall not be going back. We used to love this store but no, we will not step foot into it again.

Great store and great employees. These guys all deserve a raise! Ill also note, this store has so much more than the Cary store. Hands down its my familys favorite.

As far as Hot Topics, go this is one of the better ones Ive shopped at. The store itself was clean, and it was easy to find stuff what I was looking for. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They greeted me when I walked in and told me the deals they had at the time.

It wasnt the waiting in line that was annoying, it happens when the store closes within the hour. But when I got up there, trying to skip the annoying email/number questions because I never redeem the cash, cashier was very rude.I told her no, I didnt have an account with them and she repeatedly asked for the email. I finally gave her one that I knew had the account but no longer accessed. At this point the line is four people deep and no other cashiers in sight and I wanted to hurry up for the remaining people. Rudely snipped Well obviously you do have an account.Asked if I knew how to use the hot cash and I said yes, because obviously I had been there before (just never came back within the time period to use it) Rang out items, asked the phone number (which was recently deactivated) and finally left.I get it, I work retail.The last hour is brutal. But the little snip was not neccasary, I was trying to save her some presssure from the people grumbling behind me, just wanted to pay for my items and leave. I hope you learn to hold your tongue before someone makes a formal complaint where you get in trouble, rather than this review on google.

Ive ordered online with Hot Topic and had the order shipped to store multiple times, and every time I ship to the Cary Town Center location I get my email notification letting me know when its arrived so I can pick it up. The two orders Ive had sent to the Smithfield store (which is five minutes from my house), Ive never gotten a notification for pick up. My latest order was apparently canceled and sold on the shelf without my knowledge at all. I dont have a problem with Hot Topic as a whole, but I will definitely never be coming back to the Smithfield store. Id much rather drive 40 minutes out of my way to get awesome customer service than to be ignored and have my order sold out from under me.

Im closer to Cary but I will travel the extra time to go here. The staff is wonderful - laid back and friendly. And the selection is so much better.
