They were super helpful and I got almost exactly what I needed. They couldnt cut the exact shape I needed. So, I am gonna need a saw to finish out my project. They were friendly as well. I like to support local businesses. I will be going back.

I was absolutely horrified when my 87-year-old grandmother called to tell me that she visited this ace hardware location and no one was wearing masks! When she asked and employee about it, she was told that they don’t have to. As she has a cardiac condition, she is at-risk in addition to her advanced age.Personally, I have visited this location on more than one occasion. With few exceptions I found the employees to be rude or just downright negligent. They’re stock of supplies was never that great before the pandemic and is now dismal.If you value your time and Health...DO NOT GO HERE!!

They have odds and ends that some big places dont have I always friendly people never had a problem prices are as usual as a local hardware store that has these things theyre a little bit higher than youd get at a change store but the atmosphere is worth the extra price

My daughter and I went to Ace Hardware today to get some wire strippers and the hardware store was very well stocked, the employees were a joy, and I even got into a conversation with the cashier about how much my wife loves the Glade plug-ins and the wax melts, and she said oh my gosh I live by those! It was so nice to talk to a genuine person, to communicate with somebody who actually cares, rather than just watching me swipe my card and handing me my receipt. It seems like more and more in this day and age, the less and less people you meet who are genuine, who love conversation, and who are happy to help in anyway possible.I did not catch your name, but thank you for brightening mine and my family’s day with just a simple gesture of appreciation, and acknowledging us not as customers, but as people.We will be using Ace Hardware on Pontchartrain as our go to place for any construction needs we have in the future, even if they don’t sell glade plug ins! ;)- Bobby, Karissa, Charli and Canaan Opp

Best Hardware Store in Slidell. They have the best selection of hardware and related items in Slidell. If you are looking for hard to find hardware this is the place to go. They have a good selection of marine hardware. Ditto for outdoor and indoor cooking supplies. Helpful employees. My go to place for any type hardware, painting or cleaning supplies.

This store definitely is the helpful place! I wont say that for all Ace hardware locations but the Pontchartrain store in Slidell will definitely accommodate you to the moon and back!

Freakin love this place. They have everything you will need; no line; and additional cool stuff that you could never find at the big box. Try to find a place that has kroil (penetrating oil) sitting on the shelf (this store has it). The only real downside of this place is the toolbag employee that is always, and I mean always, on his phone. I swear they must pay this guy to be on his phone. Because . . . if you ever actually have to ask him a question--which would require him to look up from his phone--he treats you as if you are trying to wake a sleeping baby. This wouldnt be so bad if he could actually give you some useful information . . . but he cant.He needs another employee to come save him from the mental stress of thinking. Lucky for him, there are plenty of other employees that can do that. So, do yourself a favor and just start with them. Outside of that minor inconvenience, this ace is the place.
