Best hardware store! They always have everything I need. Bought my Weber grill from them. Delivery and setup was very fast and professional! The thing I love the most about this Ace is that the owner Larry Gillio is always serving and giving back to the community as seen in this fundraiser I participated in at Ace for Habitat for Humanity. During Huricane IDA and evacuated from New Orleans they came through for the community opening the store with no power except for a generator running one light and register. I got my 3 tanks of propane ( filled by the gallon ) with nearly no wait but one customer ahead of me. Super friendly and awesome people and a pleasure and blessing to do business with ! Excellent hardware store. Just bought a Stihl chainsaw there a couple weeks ago and have returned for a couple things since the hurricane. I live in Lacombe, and it is worth the trip coming in to Slidell for this Ace Hardware Store. Incredibly helpful staff.

Excellent service. Store is clean and organized. Employees always ask if you need help.

The service started out great, but the last few times...not so good, especially today, it was terrible. Today I was not greeted at the door, even with a good day, but I was looking for some assistance and eventually I had to pull someone to help me after talking for few mins, he said he had to go wash his hands, and never showed back up. So I was on my own to find what I needed. He didn’t seem knowledgeable anyway because he said he wasn’t sure how to help me. Very disappointed! I had stopped going to big box stores to support local businesses, but I will start going back to Home Depot and Lowe’s, at least I should get better service there.

They just get it! Always willing to help and find what I am looking for. When you call to ask a question the staff never forgets your on hold someone always answers the question even if its to suggest another vendor for a product they dont carry. Thats caring fof your customers. Its the reason I am a faithful patron of this store.

Smaller local Ace Hardware. They do have pretty much anything you would need. Friendly, helpful employees. Front door parking. Never crowded. Easy to get in and find what you need without spending a lot of time there. Highly recommend.

Had them rebuild and rescreen about 30 screens for a project in Oak Harbor. Fast, cheap, good. Which is always a plus.

I have a rock garden surrounding my patio in my back yard. The weeds were non-stop! I went to our local Ace hardware store on Robert. Blvd. Spoke with the owner, explained round-up, all sorts of mixtures we tried NOTHING was working. He looked up some mixtures and ordered it for us. We gave it a try....not one weed in two months!!!! Shop local, personal attention to details goes a long way!! Will recommend. 5 *****

Every time I go in the store someone greets me and helped me find what I need.They have very similar prices and they also have a huge selection of air filters I never seen a mini air filters in my life. And I got a knowledgeable guy who fixes the lawn and garden equipment.

I love this store. They are such nice people who never rush you, are always available to answer any question you may have and always try and sell you only what you need. I needed a new weed eater a while ago, and decided to see what they had to offer. Larry took the time to learn what I would be doing with it, how much I would be using it, and only then recommended a specific Stihl product. After taking it home and using it for a long while, I must say that Larry saved the day and my back. Using my old weed eater was such a work out that I usually had to stop after about an hour of work. The new machine he recommended is so much better and easy to use that 2 weeks ago I was able to weed eat over 5000 feet of fence line and ditches in a single week end around the farm. I was so impressed that when I needed a pole saw, I went right back and purchased one from him. The icing on the cake was the offer to extend the factory warrantee by purchasing the oil, which I needed anyway.

They have great customer service. They carry everything from plumbing to electrical, lawn care, paint, Stihl products and many things you wouldnt think of. I always check with them before I go to the big box store. Shop local.

Been looking for a power cord for a very old crock pot on line. Most of them were double the price if Ace. Ace popped up in line while searching and it was in stock locally. I am amazed all the stuff they have in stock. So much easier to shop there too instead of the big box stores.

My experience at this location started okay until one of the employees(probably a manager)followed me around the store the entire time I was there. He asked me if I needed help with something initially. I told him I found what I needed, then he started following me, not saying anything, just watching as if he was making sure I was not going to steal anything. I left the item that I was going to purchase on one of the shelves and walked out. I was the only one being followed and the employee followed me to the front of the store near the exit door. This happened almost a year ago however, I will never forget it.

I was looking for a part for my old lawnmower and tried all popular places in town and finally i found this store from a friend. I got to say first Impressions are everything. I was greeted by really nice person who took me to Lawnmower shop where the mechanic looked through the catalogs and found me the part i needed and got me a great price.

It’s obvious why this hardware store is able to survive in a small town with three big box hardware stores. The staff at Northshore Ace is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was greeted immediately, and given a quick tutorial on my new brush cutter. I can’t believe I haven’t been using this place, but it’s my new go to store for tools and DIY materials.
