Big easy diner A nice diner very clean our waitress was very attentive make sure we had everything... Love to joke around... And we knew when we saw all the police cars in the parking lot it had to be a good place and it did not disappoint... Better fact were going there again tomorrow for breakfast...
12-05-2020 late lunch. First time at this location. The food was good and had pretty good presentation. For the most part the restaurant looked clean except for the restroom. I felt as if the food was a little bit more on the high end $ for the portion you received. The waitress did a good job as well. Overall it was not a bad experience and I would return to this location.
Reasonably priced. Great food and wonderful coffee. Will definitely repeat.
I would give it 0 stars but Google doesn’t allow it. I ordered breakfast this morning for myself and two colleagues. It arrived and when I poured my grits from the container to mix with my eggs I found two fat dead flies. The flies I can almost understand as flies enter the restaurant when the doors open. However, the rudeness of the cook and young white boy wearing a gold chain are a problem. Neither apologized and the later asked why I didn’t want the rest of the food. He even asked to see the flies. The cook insisted the flies could not have come from the food even though as he spoke flies were flying around restaurant right through the window he was speaking from. I have eaten at this restaurant for years until today. I will never return.
Robyn was the best waitress we’ve ever had and we have had great dining experiences. She was incredibly attentive even with several other customers. Before we could even ask for anything she anticipated what we needed and supplied it. We were on a long road trip and tired and she was so personable. Loved her! The food was good too BUT ROBYN made the experience exceptional. Thank you!

I ate dinner here with a childhood friend who resides in the area. The service was great, but our food was a little cold. We arrived 15 mins before closing. However, the staff had no problem serving us. The waitress advised us where we could get Daiquiris after hours.

After being through hurricane Ida, no electricity, was looking for something open with a/c! They were, I was delighted that this throw back to 50s decor restaurant and soda jerk counter was open for business!Had 3-4 waitresses working very hard.A gentleman came and layer $20.00 on our table and asked if we were local, yes we are!He told us older ladies we both reminded him of his grandmothers and wanted to pay for our breakfast!He was an out of town electrical worker trying to get power restored. I thought we looked pitiful, we thanked him much, and payed it forward by tipping our waitresses the $20.00All I have to say, is we were born and raised in New Orleans, and were blessed to find this diner and come across people that helped us and do care!Thank you Big Easy!!!
The food is way overpriced. The food is barely even edible. I have no way of knowing if it was just a bad cook or if its like that all the time. Pancakes, waffle, link sausage, and grits were great. Sausage patties and homestyle fries were too hard to chew.
It is in Slidell. We visited after a Bayou tour. It is what you would expect. Nice staff & reasonably priced fare. Best meal ever, not even close, but would I go back for a burger & some chili? You bet your a$$!! You might need a nap after!!

When they say their food is delicious, they mean it, because it is! Service was great too! Definitely would recommend. I wish I lived closer because I would make this a regular restaurant to visit.
Ordered a meal with eggs and found a bread tie in my eggs. When I called to tell management she said “okay” as if not understanding that finding plastic in food is not normal. When I asked for a refund for the eggs, she seemed to have a problem with it. My friend later found a piece of an eggshell in her food after the phone call.

The food was good, but I could not believe the price of milk. $2.75 for a small grade school bottle, it would not even fill up the glass they served it in. Next time I will wait in line at the Waffle House.

The first time we went we had wonderful service from Ms. Robin. She really set the tone and I was excited to have possibly found our new favorite diner.Then we went a second time. We got the booth that was ant infested, so that was fun. Heres the kicker, when we told the server she didnt even offer us a new table. Had to even ask for a manager. They sent the close enough person instead. My husbands omelette took 20 minutes and we were met with excuses as to why it took so long for it to come out. They put it in after the SIDE of fish so everything didnt come out at once.....huh?Shame, I was really looking forward to having a regular place to go. The search continues!

I will start by saying I have been service industry for over 10 years so I am always more judgmental when I go out to eat. That being said, today was our first time trying this restaurant, and we have ALL good things to say! The food was good, portions were great, our waitress was so attentive, engaging, and thorough, and the manager was also so friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend and will be back!!
Visited this location for breakfast with my family. The food was as others described, prepared accordingly. Both of my childrens pancake stack bottom layer had extra attention in the cooking process. The service is a quandary of figuring it out by customer. Quick observation, for the customers they knew, they served quickly and provided optimum service. For the others, they received the best service this staff had in their heart to offer. I gave this place 4 stars based on food only minus the 2 specially prepared pancakes. Before leaving, our waitress did find it in her heart to ask their cook to remake the pancakes. Unfortunately, we were leaving.

Little bit of retro vibe and it reminds me of greese theme. The theme of the resteraunt looks very nice! It likes I’m in a different world. Back in time where theres neon light, electric guitar on the wall, the seat, and everything about it. This is perfect place to dine in with family. Our waitress is very prompt. She checks on us and makes sure we have the best service. My plate is about $12. At first I thought it expensive. When the waitress brought our food, for me, it was a very big meal. I would come back and try more food. :) (I will proofread this review soon. I know I mix the present and past tense xD )

Great little dive diner! Love the happy days feel! Our server was super nice and attentive and her suggestion to try the country fried steak and pancakes was SPOT ON!!! Dont forget to get a strawberry shake on your way out!! We will for sure be back!

We tried out this diner across from waffle House, we noticed immediately that the price is pretty high for breakfast and ordered a shrimp and roast beef porboy, my shrimp was tasty but myhusband didnt like the meat, not shredded, our waitress was excellent, but waffle house is a much better deal.

One of the cooks looks as if she may be under the influence of methamphetamine and the diner smells like a K-Mart bathroom. However, the food was pretty tasty and the wait staff was pleasant.
Very poor service. ‘manager’ was rude after finding pieces of plastic and eggshells in our meals. she refused a refund and got an attitude as if finding that in our food was normal. will not be eating here again. if she made up for it and apologized maybe we would have but she sealed the deal with her attitude.

We had a party of 7 come in about 40 minutes before they closed. We were told that we could only select from limited menu because their fryers were closed. If you are open for another 40 minutes, why would you close down the fryers? I understand pre-closing, but when you are open, you should be open. When establishments cut corners like this, Im sure they are cutting corners in other areas; I wouldnt take any chances. We made it easy for them and walked out.
Wasnt impressed...the service was good but we got the lunch special and the liver was hard and tuff.
Traveling in Slidell, LA. The diner is a cozy place with good food. The wait staff were very nice and helpful. Its a very busy place, so we had to wait a bit. I had the shrimp poboy and ice tea. They serve breakfast anytime. One of my sisters gad pancakes and sausage.
Really good food n loved our waitress. Lot of food i had the cheese n mushroom omelette n pan bread. I would say you must try the pan bread. Support these small food places.
Ham and cheese omelette was excellent and fufulling. The po boy little shrimps perfect fried batter. 1/2 booth was a little messy but they only have 2 servers doing it all and it was the end of the day.
Food was surprisingly delicious given that we arrived less than an hour before closing time. Service was attentive. Coffee was fabulous and every item we had was hot, fresh, and exceeded my expectations. Excellent diner atmosphere!

Sat down at the diner to eat a good breakfast but waited 12 - 15 minutes without anyone taking my order. Kinda of disappointed, various staff servicing other customers and putting glass and dishes up. It seems the staff was all over the place without any emphis on the customer. Just my thoughts.

This is the best place on earth! They have the BEST SERVERS EVER!!! The food is phenomenal! My sister lives in slidell and during a visit with her, she insisted we go here. Thank you Cala for that! The waitress overheard me mentioning wanting a to go tea and she fixed it BEFORE I ASKED! Then right before leaving a waitress came up to us with 2 little plush toys that one of her regulars had won and wanted to give to them to my daughters. 😍 how freaking sweet is that?!?! The quality of the food was very low considering the higher than average price that was being charged. Ordered the hamburger and for 7 bucks I got a dried out flavorless patty and no fries. Sonic burgers are better than this. Coffee was weak also. Service was good though so review reflects high prices for bad food.

I read others reviews that this was the best part of their trip and it lived up to the hype. The waitress was super friendly and nice and the food was so delicious. The service was wonderful. I had french toast with powdered sugar and bacon and orange juice and coffee and it was all perfect. This is definitely a must when in the area.

Food was good but service was soooo damn slow
So we drove all the way from Baton Rouge to eat there on my in-laws recommendation. Got there the place was empty when Me and my Girl placed our orders. After 45 minutes of waiting, other customers that came in after us was getting there food. It was only after I asked the waitress(who seem to disappear after we got drinks)what was taking so long with our food? She says “I don’t know” At this point I told her were canceling our order and leaving . I called to speak to a manager and was told that “The manager would be there in the morning if I wanted to speak with her to call back in the morning. But not before telling me that she (the young that answered the phone) has no control over how fast orders are made once ticket is placed. Again we drove all the way from Baton Rouge to Eat there. 😡😡

We waited 35 mins for food-people after us getting served. At end girl sd they ran out of biscuits 45 mins later they serve us as we are leaving. The gravy was flour, water& grease. Potatoes not all the way cooked. We pd.for drinks & left. Dont advise to go there. Waitress & manager very nice & sorry about it.
