Goodness! Earlean is just the best. I went in needing to find the perfect color thread for a big job. I knew I could find it there but I asked Earlean for help to make sure I was right. She found it and made me laugh. I know I can go to my local Allbrands when she is there to get help with anything. It feels like seeing an old friend.I was really happy to see how very carefully Allbrands is protecting their employees and their customers. Thank you. ๐๐ป๐๐ป

Dont buy fabric from here. 11.00 $$ a yard for cotton material that u could buy anywhere else for 4.00 $$ at the most. Then the lady couldnt print out a receipt. I should have just left.

This store has become.... unliked by myself and many others. Theyโre boring sometimes snippy and uncaring. When Arlene was managing this store she was the BEAST of the BEST!!! You walked in and she lit up the entire store!! She was always smiling friendly helpful and she loved everybody!! If there wasnโt something I needed sheโd sure find a way to get it and fasstttNow these ladies are playing twang music while youโre trying to shop they ignore you when you come in. They suck!! Dropped off my Kirby vacuum for repairs, I was told at the drop off time that there was a one week turnaround. 4 weeks and $375.00 later and after several phone calls my vacuum was returned the store repaired. I immediately noticed before I left the store their thorough inspection of my vacuum wasnt so thorough. They failed to notice a couple of the suction fan blades were broken off, even after I mentioned it to them when they gave me my estimate. I asked the lady at the Slidell store to confirm that the suction fan was included in the estimate and she said she would call me back with a new estimate if it wasnt. When I didnt receive a return call, I assumed it was being done. Several weeks went by. I called each Tuesday to see if it was back. No one ever wanted to help. The standard answer was it would probably be back next week...if not they would call and check on it. After 2 weeks, I had to be ugly to get anyone to check on anything. They would tell me that they would call me back with info and they wouldnt. After getting the vacuum back and noticing upon receipt that it wasnt completely repaired, I asked the lady if they used a third party repair service or who was I supposed to call to complain, they didnt have a clue, but of course, said theyd call me back with a phone number. Once agin, no phone call back. I knew they had sent my vacuum to Baton Rouge so I looked up the contact number to the B.R. location and called during business hours, got a recording and had to leave a message. I left a detailed message about not m=being happy with my service and that my vacuum wasnt repaired. Once again, no phone call back. Called that number back again the next day, the automated system answered my call and said all reps were busy and that my call would be answered in the order it was received.....7 minutes later, my cell phone dropped the call. Called back again, got the same automated answer, was on hold for 10 minutes at which time another automated message said that all reps were busy and to please leave my name and number and they would call me back......AGAIN. I did so, and left in my message that if I didnt get a return phone call by the end of the business day, I would dispute the transaction with my credit card company. Once again, no phone call back. So, today, since I hadnt vacuumed my house in 6 weeks, I decide to try to use my vacuum, even though I knew it wouldnt have as much of a suction...... well, now, since they have repaired it, it smells like something is burning and when I raise the beater bar up to detach the face to look at the belt, I realized the vacuum wont raise like it used to. To top it off, the lever to engage/disengage the belt seems to be stripped. It doesnt turn in a circle and stop, it keeps going...... I have now disputed the transaction with my credit card company and will have to send my vacuum elsewhere to be fixed. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The ladies that work in the store are not helpful, unknowledgeable, or dont care...possibly all three and the repair center doesnt know what they are doing. And the simple cleaning that was supposed to get done to my vacuum, well, my vacuum fan had dust bunnies inside of it.
They have improved their stock on hand. Unfortunately they raised their prices and changed policies. Prepayment for repairs, when they dont know what is wrong, doesnt make sense to me.
