Just like every TA I go to, and the reason I usually avoid them, its dirty and poorly run. I have avoided TA for over a year, but finally got caught having to use one because of HOS. The parking lot is so full of pot holes that the truck kept bottoming out on the skirts, and they want $20 to park. Just disgusting to have that many spots reserved, and you cant even see the word reserved because the lot is so dark, and the paint is either missing because of pot holes, or worn out. Sadly, I had to pay, but will avoid this, and all TAs and Petro stations for as long as I can. Sad that a company that is there to serve truckers feels the need to gage them like this. TA, your a sad sad place.

Omg! Ive finally found watermelon crush! Its my favorite.The waitress was awesome. Thank you for having the restaurant open. After almost a year of eating off the steering wheel, its nice to sit down and see smiling faces!The showers were very clean and the cashier was very friendly. I hope we come through again.

Whatever you do di not stop here for teuck service. When i came in i was told 1.5h for ine trailer tire to be changed and it ended up being 7hr. Stay away and di not waist you time.

This is what I got (image) when I paid $10 for Chicken strips and a side of Tator tots. Tiny little nugget strips and the fries that I didn’t order are so salty, I could only eat one. Cook has jokes. This store is a stain on Country Pride restaurants.

Passing through for gas and pit stop. Clean small restroom with 3 stalls on womens side. Well stocked convenient store sold random things like jeans, beanie babies, caps, fresh fruits, phone accessories, as well as the usual snacks, drinks, fresh fruits.

On a road trip going back home. We stopped at this ta for some rest. A woman came out this morning and told us that we couldnt stay here. I looked around at all the cars there from last night a lot of people were sleeping in their cars which made it seem like it was okay. Whats sad is I just bought a pack of cigarettes before she came up to us and told us we couldnt stay which is fine I only wanted to stay the night. Ill never spend another dime at ta. Such a shame. She had no problem taking my money first...

I felt sorry for this review, but my experience on Friday August 13 2021 around 6 pm is unacceptable.. i took my truck inside of shop to do oil change after 20 minutes i have been told that mechanic can’t take oil pan drain plug out it’s tight.. well I trusted to them and they charged me for labor .. but after i got to the previous shop that i changed the oil I swear to god with one push the mechanic took bolt out .. i got disappointed.. my thought is that guy was to lazy to do the job and bu the way he was very amateur he struggled to open the deer guard. it’s easy to make money just check and do no thing.. TA doesn’t deserve this staff in shop because trucks drivers needs help as we help American moving!!!!

Not bad, but small parking lot. Once again, mostly paid reserve parking. Restaurant is open, but closes early, using covid excuse, (at the date of this posting.) Trucking is 24/7!One waitress, one cook, no dishwasher (not that night anyway. Again, at the date if this posting.) Waitress was nice though, and upbeat.Food was good though! Salmon cooked right, and moist, broccoli not over cooked, but just beyond blanched, perfect. Cant mess up a baked potato, it was a good meal. One cashier, dealing with fuel and store, so a bit of a line, but she handled it fine.

The management here is souless. I am here doing disaster relief and witnessed the manager tell a young woman who was a hurricane victim she could not give her a discount on a shower. I payed her fee but did not gas up here and Ill never get gas at a ta again

Really nothing to complain about here. I used an Ultra Credit to take care of my reserved parking. Lot appears to be half and half on free and reserved. The shower was clean but I couldn’t get the toilet paper device to switch over to the new roll for some reason, I had shower #7. Plenty of hot food during the day by the look of it, along with a Country Pride staffed by the awesome waiter Kelly! This is not a bad place to pull into at all. Spent 24 hours or so here waiting to deliver to a nearby receiver.

An hour into our 10 hour drive we had a blowout on the semi so we had to stop here. Decided to take a shower and these showers are super clean. Rob you did such an amazing job. We have never seen a cleaner shower at a truck stop. I could even smell how clean it was. My only complaint about this place is the toilets in the shower rooms. With how big this room was why did the toilet have to be so close to the wall and toilet paper holder? I have to sit sideways...

My air compressor went out on 6/20 they couldn’t get to me until the next morning . Which I stuck on the side of the road at exit 80 on I 12 .Me and the tech Brian talked that morning he came out early as he stated. He came out find the problem right away . However the part was wasn’t going to be in the next day. He convinced me to bypass the dryer I believe it would have been somebody else they would have gave excuses to put a new one on cost me more money he bypassed it I’m on the road up and running now I can get it fixed cheaper at home . I hope nobody has to use roadside but things happen if you do ask for Brian I sure will. THANKS ALOT BRIAN

No place to park except for pay parking cause free parking taken up by local drivers in daycabs and dropped trailers

This Country Pride was clean and organized ( usually run from them).The staff was friendly and food was great. As always clean bathrooms . Plenty of grab n go food as well as big selection of souvenirs.

I will never return to this shop in life, from the moment I walk in the shop front desk person who says he is the evening assistant manager was extremely rude with don’t care attitude. He put me on waiting list for 6 hours only to tell me after I waited that the mechanic don’t have time to do the work and the other mechanic is not qualified to perform the necessary job, when I walked every one was just standing around talking super lazy

Gas! Short lines and quick service.

NOT WANTED!! Today I found out that the T.A. of Slidell dont want local drivers parking at their place, although we buy lots of fuel and spend lots of money in the store and shop, they would rather have over the road drivers who may only be there one night an never come back, I started parking there in October of last year an from Oct.to December just in fuel Ive spent $15000 not to mention $700 on a GPS among other supplies, but I also noticed most of, if not all of the locals that park their trucks there are black, so from this point on Ill spend my money where the only color that matters is green

Did a 24-hour stent here and it wasnt too bad at all the only thing I complain about is their high-priced coffee in the restaurant the shower was good and clean and the waitresses were very nice in the restaurant.

For a truck stop, it had some great boudin. I was definitely impressed. Everyone was nice, and showers were clean. I cant complain.

Older TA in need of updates. Overall, has everything you need for a Truck Stop.

Seems that TA has forgotten who it’s customers are. All restaurants closed leaving truckers high and dry. How can Pilot and Loves and all the smaller truck stops keep their restaurants open for at least takeout and you can’t? I avoid TA whenever possible but didn’t have much choice this time.

Avoid this shop at all costs, will definitelywaste your time.

Been going through this stop for a few trips now. Never had any issues with the location itself. Everything is quite clean and organized. Easy to navigate around. I have only experienced one bad stop with the morning staff member. I guess I picked the wrong door. While me and my wife was taking care of business we was able to hear the staff member talk negatively about non-truck drivers. I driver trucks..... Never the less, she was still talking about us behind our backs. Very disappointed in her.If you need a quick stop, or a break from the road. I do believe you should not be disappointed with this location.

BEWARE! I went to this location on Saturday 11/21/20 at around 4:30pm. I needed 2 steer tires for my truck. There were 4 guys seated at the bench outside. Neither wanted to move a muscle when they saw me. It was very UNWELCOMING. I would ask the management to hire diverse employees who represent everyone in the community. TA is a truck stop that should represent everyone not just one race. So UNWELCOMING and unless they fix this issue I would not return to their TIRE SHOP.

This truck stop has shown how much they value their core customers. Out of 139 parking spots, 55 spaces are reserved. They will charge you $20 w/tax to park here. You think maybe you can find a free spot? Nope, they have dropped trailers, straight trucks, day cabs and even personal vehicles in those spots. The parking attendant will be out all night checking to make sure you are paying, even though many pay spots didnt get used. Why harass customers who are actually spending the night, and most likely money, when you have people sitting at home while their vehicles sit in free parking? If you want your truck stop to be a local drop lot so be it.Then the restaurant is only open from 10am to 8pm. What sense does that make? Truck drivers are up early and done late. Ive seen the manager reply about this. It says they are working with state and local representatives. The only thing I see is bars arent supposed to serve from 11pm to 7am. Correct me if Im wrong. The government and general public believe companies like this are supporting us during this pandemic. It makes it harder that they believe this, they think we dont need to park in their towns. They fine us even if we are trying to stock up at a Wal-Mart. When profits overshadow your customer service, you may find you have no customers left.

Watched what hacks these mechanics were, and will hopefully never have to visit this truck stops shop ever again ! Experience was so bad on everything I saw its far too long to write about, never seen such hacks that are so also so rude I nearly got in a fist fight.

Pay to park truck for the first time since driving, but the cashier was very friendly nice courteous. I felt comfortable to return again if ever in the neighborhood.

If this place would get a negative 5 stars that would be great. Last week I got diesel in my f350 and the diesel was super contaminated with water. I have reported them to weights and measurements and will complain to bbb. The repair was $650 and the tow $250. Don’t get gas diesel here.

Has amazing coffee but if you have a pet DO NOT LET THEM ON THE GRASS! I was walking my dog in the grass to potty and as Im watching the ground to make sure hes okay to walk there we walked right past a USED UNCAPPED SYRINGE !!!!!!! UNACCEPTABLE! SO FOR THAT I GIVE IT 1 STAR ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE TO! THAT IS JUST PATHETIC!

80%paid parking, $20Restaurant close when you want to eat, 8PM SMFH .All I feel is taken advantage on, just like all truck stop but the finger here is thicker.

So I would like to say I enjoyed my experience last night when I went to order it was at 7:52 pm In there was a blonde hair white chick with a cap on that said blessed there that was very helpful in didn’t mind cooking my food I will be back thanks to her

I came in on July 4th with a tire off the rim. They put me in a bay right away and had me fixed and ready to go in about half an hour. Definitely not your typical T/A. Ive had to have tire work done here before, and have always had great service. These guys are awesome!!

I had a tire blow on the interstate, 4 hour away from where I live & I came here bc no one else was open and they were very nice, understand, & accommodating. I don’t even drive an 18-wheeler & they really did an amazing job helping me out & were just so so helpful. Highly recommend

Not good. Simple PM and forgot to put oil cap on and rubber seals on fuel filters at Petro Effingham IL. Petro Hammond Louisiana found and fixed. This time got lucky later dripping fuel and didnt break down.

Wide selection of cold and warm food options Bathrooms were clean! Which is very important to me. I opted to not pay for the shower however ive heard it is nice.

Was working locally and got a flat. After almost six hour wait I was charged $520.25 for a 19.5 tire. Complete highway robbery. met a couple good people there during my excruciating wait, but was nobody who worked there. Ill drive home on my rims before going back to TA service center

1st time here easy on and off the highway breakfast was great nice friendly staff very clean and 5 stars for being walking distance to a food store and pet store as a OTR trucker I love it when these stops are close to stores plenty of food options Att a dental care place I could do a 34 here if I could just glad it was clean and friendly I will be back

Serious attitude problems

Paid parking is not my favorite, but the parking lot man could not have been any nicer. Im sure he deals with drivers that have nasty attitudes sometimes, but he was very pleasant! The lady at the fuel desk was very understanding and helpful as well.

Only giving 2 stars for the hot links.. if I have to heat it up (stil cold in center) in my truck then should we have to pay you full price? Staffs attitude is trash.. first bad experience with this location. Shower was clean and great.. Ill give that a 5 star.

Great place ro rest and reset...great food and restaurants

Very nice facilities clean and inviting. Well maintained however parking lot needs better lighting. One of the few locations with a Country Pride Restaurant, hours may vary. Courteous and polite staff never had an issue while visiting.

Awful shop with horrible attitudes. They told me that they would call me in about an hour and tell me which bay to pull in to look at my truck. I called them after 2 hours and they claimed that they had tried to call me but that was a lie. I offered to show them my phone records. The guy had a very hostile attitude and told me that he would put me in line again and my wait would be another 2 hours or so. I will NEVER use this shop again and I have a YouTube channel with over 300 subscribers. Look for Trucker Todd on YouTube in a couple of days and Ill let you know how this all turns out

In and out on the small vehicle side. Getting out of the parking lot and back to I-10 is a bit of a hassle due to the short red light and the amount of vehicle traffic in the area. Inside the store is like a mini Walmart. They sell everything. The staff was polite. Restrooms were clean.

Fairly new washing machines and dryers.$3.00 to wash a loadLarge parking lot . gets full as the evening comes. Clean store well staffed. Has a barber shop on site.

I visit this TA often and its a good place to stop. Only drawback is, its not a big location. And too many of the parking spaces are reserved parking. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Also has the regular TA restaurant but no buffet.

This place is horrible I had a small pin hole exhaust leak went from a 347$ bill they broke my flex pipe then bill went too 1118$ too long of waiting then I come to get my truck batteries dead had to sit here another 4 hour to get a jump that I was charged for terrible service never again in Slidell on Gause

Went in to pay for a shower then get a coffee and sandwich before getting truck fixed next door. Paid for parking the day before. Paid for shower and didnt make it more than three steps from the counter before being called back and told my money wasnt real. I asked for it back so I could take it to a bank and get it checked out and was told she couldnt return it and she should be calling the police. Like she was doing me a favor! Then I noticed that she didnt keep it separate or set it aside to be turned in and reported. Instead she put it in the drawer with the rest of the money and kept it. Nice job TA! Ill never spend another penny in one of your truck stops!!! I hope the 14 bucks was worth it! Over time, it probably just cost you thousands! If you want to be shaken down drivers, stop on by!!!

Extremely friendly waitress in restaurant, good food. Small salad bar. Most truck parking is reserved or locals park, not many spots. Showers large and relatively clean, however my shower only had hot water and my husbands had NO shower pressure.

Ok. This place has been here for years, many years in fact, and never once have I been treated without respect. Its kept clean, the store and shop folks are friendly, and the restaurant is the best. Had to have my favorites today, salad bar and gumbo, which I have looked forward to all day. Excellent, as always, as was the service and cleanliness of the restaurant itself. The people here make you feel at home. And when youre 1,800 miles from home, it makes a difference.

Shame you have to pay $20 to park and there is no restaurant or even a fast food place. We could use a break right now with all the problems with COVID. It is hard enough out here with out having to pay so much for every service you provide

We stopped by here to get some coffee and a few other things. The staff was very friendly, the store was very neat and clean and we even bought a few scratch offs. I would recommend this store.

Really nice people!! Had a couple of j.a.s (truck drivers)park in paid parking spots, without paying. Then leaving to go party. The TA, promptly got in touch with them, & had them come back from their party an hour away & move their trucks!! After finally getting some sleep....we had fresh coffee, before we left at 2:45 to go unload!!

Ate at the restaurant, the waitress was amazing, the food was spectacular.. definitely did not expect that.. bathrooms were very clean. Will have to make another stop to eat here again!

Excellent customer services and nice manager. Paid 30$ in gas had a good conversation with lady at cash register and then I forgot to pump gas and I left and came back 30 mins later when I realized. They were nice enough to refund. Very happy with their service god bless

Came here for gas in a rental moving truck. My husband accidentally put gas in the DEF tank, so we were afraid to drive it. We went inside and for a reasonable fee, they drained it and we were all set! We felt stupid for the mistake, but they handled it and helped us quickly as we had less than an hour to return the truck.

Worst place to get your oil change 4 hour waiting very slow and rude workers

Restaurant service was really slow and more than half of the parking lot is reserved parking other than that not a bad place to stop for the night if you can find a parking spot. Restaurant and restrooms and showers was clean. Would have a 5-star rating if had more places to park that did not cost $15.

Reserved parking only made it lose a star but the experience was salvaged by clean at the time restrooms, friendly staff and good food. It fills up in no time so get here early if youre stopping,or save time and go elsewhere

The restroom was clean and the cashier was quick to serve us. The food at the restaurant was good but the waitress didnt check on us but once, and there was only two other tablets occupied, so she wasnt overwhelmed with people to take care of.

Had trailer repair done by Corey in the shop. There where a couple other mechanics who he could bounce ideas off of to fix my problem. It was a great team effort to get me out of there. Ill go back there without hesitation. The store is clean and they keep food fresh and hot. Parking can get tight so get there early.

Your typical TA Travel Center. Reasonable amount of parking.

It is a travel Plaza. Clean bathrooms. Has a sit down restaurant. Fast food also. Very large place. Items for sell, clothing and something items you might have run out.

This TA must have the laziest crew. Avoid stopping here.

6-3-20 5:53 p: m take my truck to line up and the 4 mechanics were outside smoking sigarro. I went to the office to tell him I wanted to line up. The 3 axcell and nothing else that I put the truck into the workshop were reviewed in 2 minutes and they came and told me that the management teams were wrong. and it was not like that I had finished making the new ones for my truck a week ago. What they did not want to do was work to continue talking and smoking cigar outside the workshop. I do not advise any driver to take his truck to that workshop. do not like to work mechanics. they charged me $ 60 and did nothing

Server was rude, threw menu on the table and said table is dirty. Country Pride Ill never eat in another of your restaurants again. Ill go give my business to Cracker Barrel across the street instead.01/24/2021

Super friendly waitress. Awful coffee--too weak. Had the fish with onion rings. Very tasty, well prepared and very hot. We would stop there again.

Its a truck stop and this one is cleaner than 80% of what I find.Also, the showers were Extremely clean. I even went looking for the housekeeper to tip her five bucks because it was so clean.Food in the Country Pride was good. I had Kelly as my waitress. She is a real people person. I liked her personality.I stop regularly here. I dont even hesitate.

Left me on the side of the road for 6 hours waiting for a road tech to come out to change a steer tire. And they still havent shown. Whoever called me said they have 2 road techs. But one was helping in the shop. I thought road calls took priority. Im a female. I have to pee. And Im hungry. Stuck on the side of a busy interstate. This is poor service. Do not recommend.

This TAs Country Pride still closed! I understand with Pandemic but the state now allows din-in with distancing. So in other states Tenn/SC ect opening Counrty Prides and Iron Shilets back up I ask why still closed took my business to Out Backs thank you!!

Best place to stop when youre on the road. I go here every time I visit my family in MS. Good coffee at every hour 24/7, well lit, convenience food, what else can you ask for? Oh yeah, best fuel prices around too.

Lowest price of gas around, nice convenience store with all the amenities. Bathrooms available on site.

Decent little truck stop to file up at.

Stopped for the weekend, here for 34. Clean parking lot. Staff is friendly and informative. Close to Walmart, Applebees and other restaurants. Not a bad place at all!

Gas n Go with a tall cup of soft serve chocolate and vanilla swirl ice cream. Looking forward to my return trip.

Love the Waitress we had. Great food. The bread at the salad bar was stale though but gumbowas awesome. Pancakes great. Kids were happy and full. I like how you can add soup and salad is only three bucks.

I thought how clean and shine it was till I went to take my shower and I saw these worms or parasites all over in the shower floor. What ate these? Then the lights went out and the employee stood in the doorway of my shower watching me finish getting dressed not giving me any privacy and then wading my clean close out of dryer into a bag to be kicked put into the storm. Was not happy

I called the shop to make they will have a technician available to do 3 axle alignment and they said yes. I arrived at 345pm and checked in. I was told that I would have a 2-3 hour wait which fine because I needed the work done. 5 hours and 15 minutes later they call me to door 2 & I pull in only to find out they cant do the 3 axle alignment because they dont have the parts (shims). 99.9% percent chance Ill never stop here again.

Great breakfast at County pride, our waitress was spot on attentive, constantly checking on us and very friendly. Store good as well.

Had a inspection and the Machanic said I needed to change two lights, I asked the cost for the lights and he said the office will let me know. When I got to the register I was told that the bill was $152, the inspection was only $60, lights was $9 & $8. Machanic never ask did I want to install the lights myself, but swore he did. If you ever go there ask about any and everything they’re doing or it’ll cost you in the end.Very dissatisfied

Good eats for a truck- stop. Waitress was very funny I would go back to visit with her any time. Food was decent for truck stop we got our fuel there got each lotto tickets and drinks. They have all kinds of stuff in that store.
