This location is beautiful on the inside. They are very well stock. Many items in the produce section are either exotic or items youve never seen before. No bare shelves or excessive dust on products

The store had an amazing produce section and a good healthy food section. I was grateful to find it close to a truck stop. As a truck driver, healthy food is rare to find. I found their cart in the truck stop parking lot and took it with me to the store. I was grateful that the clerk allowed me to take my groceries back to my truck with it because Im on a broken foot with a big boot on it. I returned the cart to the store. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because the prices are very high.

Fantastic service and the mixed drinks are hands down perfectly made and presented. We tried the calamari appetizer which had an amazing dipping sauce but the calamari breading didnt have much crunch to it. The shrimp fettuccini was okay, there were only 5 shrimps in the whole dish which was a bit of a letdown. My partners pasta dish was also okay but the sauce needed some more simmer time to let the flavors develop. May go back when its alittle less busy for the drinks and to try their pizza.

Selections are always good but no one is wearing masks except a select few. Signs are posted inside and out, but no one is enforcing safety for the health of all.

Rouses is my new go-to place for cakes! I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get a custom cake on such short notice, but Melissa did an amazing job. My daughter loves it.

Always love shopping at Rouses. This floor plan is a little odd. Need to get rid of clutter around the cash registers that arent used all the time. Clean atmosphere and lovely displays on their cooked meals.

3rd time I went to get a pizza.. or they in brake or close at 4 pm, Come one until what time normal people work just close the place down... waist if time. ⁰

My go to spot in Slidell. Great selection of groceries, meats, deli, etc. Furthermore, the wine/liquor section is incredible. The place is clean, great service, good prices, and up to date.

Locally owned and you could tell. They get all the good stuff we all like. Armadilla eggs. butcher made jalapeno peppers wrapped in bacon.

Hey what can you say, best grocery store around. The variety is amazing, deli is great, bakery, alcohol selection, meats, specialty items. My only caution and this applies in most places... if you are going to get boiled shrimp or crawfish ask to try one first. Its subjective too much heat for me, but may be just the thing for you or not enough. They are glad to give you a little sample. The King Krab at the fresh seafood area is great.

Not much available after Hurricane Ida. Shelves need restocked. Im sure it will take some time to do, especially after a hurricane just ran they and knocked out power everywhere.

They have a HUGE selection of anything and everything in this voluminous grocery store.They also carry fine wines, liquor, domestic and foreign beer. Their Deli,Bakery,Seafood department is outstanding. Locally fresh caught shrimp and crabs are always abundant along with King Crabs, blue crabs and crawfish. If Cajun cuisine is your choice, you will be happy knowing they have it all.The personnel are polite and very helpful.Rouses Market is diverse in all food categories..I highly recommend this store!

I was very impressed with the layout, variety, character, customer service and overall aesthetics of this location. My wife and I were slightly confused pulling in as we’ve never driven into the parking lot of the grocery store only to be met by a Port au quecher that offered online order pick up and accessibility for veterans and the elderly. It was nice to see a chain that caters to the elderly, who deserve the assistance of the younger generations. They have a great selection of wine and alcoholic beverages, and there were plenty of open registers for customers checking out with their groceries.

Update: 10/30/19Still great staff, Joes the man! They have improved on freshness A LOT. The mushrooms now have their own enclosed case to keep longer. The apples most times are in mush better shape. Organic section is very limited now. It seems that they stopped over stocking and only have a few but they are normally fresh.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Staff members are great. Produce has gone down hill the past year. Been shopping exclusively here for 7+ years for our groceries because we got tired of waiting in line at Walmart longer than you shopped for.I was vegan for 5 1/2 years and this WAS the best place to get our veggies. Over the past year their produce has fallen. A lot of wilted, bruised, unedible food stocks their coolers. Winn-Dixie now has fresher vegetables but they dont have the selection.

Weve always ordered our cakes through rouses. I ordered a cake for my sons birthday. The texture wasnt satisfactory, and the dryness made it very unappetizing. The icing had an aftertaste. Also, we used to be able to pick our cakes up in the morning, but not anymore. Very inconvenient. They also had to be paged several times before anyone came out to serve us. Very poor service. I wasted 30.00 for a cake that tasted like garbage. Rouses has become just like Walmart.

Found exactly what I hoped to find during my last minute shopping for Hurricane Sally. All other stores...my local Walmart and independent stores didnt have what I wanted. So Im grateful for Rouses and didnt mind driving from Mississippi to get my groceries.

Great shopping experience. New to the area so was quite pleased to find a good grocery store. The aisles are wide and stocked fully. Huge meat and seafood department. The staff was very knowledgeable about the products the store offered. Checkers were fast at their jobs. They also were cordial.

We have Several Rouses in the Mobile AL metropolitan area. I wish we had one like this one in Slidell. It was a very pleasant shopping experience. I found many items that we do not have in our Mobile stores.

It’s a nice store but the staff at this one compared to other parts of town are really rude and unhelpful. Don’t want to assist customers and they’re always out of supplies/shopping carts because aren’t able to keep up with demand so grocery shopping is often challenging. They also “aren’t able to spare envelopes” when you get money orders like the other store. Totally understand it’s not required but’s a very kind courtesy the others do.

Amazing as always. Rouses never fails to please. They are what a grocery store should be.

Worst customer service I’ve ever received while traveling with my dog for many years. I wasn’t allowed to finish shopping even though I was ready to check out because my unattended dog barked at a customer and apparently scared them despite being tied up 100 feet from any entrance. I was told incredibly rudely that I had to leave immediately and could not finish shopping, and was further mocked by the managers when I tried to complain. Just horrible rudeness and attitude from TWO of the managers, who were proud to tell me they were managers despite their terrible customer service. The overall store manager was able to come out and speak to me like a human being, but his staff is really awful and I hope he fires them.

As a transplant from Central NY. I crave certain things I cant get in the South like cheese curds and Canadian beer, until I found them at Rouses.... so happy

If they dont have it, it probably doesnt exist.😆

One of my favorite rouses!!! They always have a good selection, clean, and friendly. They carry A large variety of unique cheeses, deli items, cakes, and wine. Plus Its my husbands favorite place for crawfish in town!

Shop at this grocery store often. Primarily because of their deli meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, ground beef, and nice selection of sauces, marinades, and spices. This store is well kept, always neat and clean. The staff is typically friendly and helpful as well. The only reason I do not give them five stars is because some items are priced on the high side. Overall, I am very satisfied with the shopping experience at this Rouses market.

No slice of carrot cake, had half carrots cut, couldnt cut a slice off. They had altitude, when I ask them if they cut me a slice. Put everything back left the store.
