Nice store just didnt have what I was looking for

Better than most of the Books A Million that I have been to because it is clean and well organized. One thing to know is the store signage says BAM! -- not the fully spelled out name.

It does not matter where they are located i love this book store chain! Slidell store is clean and helpful! Only thing missing is a coffee shop. But i still give them a five star rating!

I could just spend the whole day in this store. So many awesome books to choose from. I do wish they had an area to study in . The customer service is great though.

Tons of selection doesnt mean good selection. Staff was pleasant but almost pushy... Wont be back Id rather use amazon.

B.A.M. was a very nice experience. The store is well stocked. Neat & clean. I did make a purchase. The book I was looking for was in stocks. Check out was a breeze.

Good place to find some nerdy novelties and a lot of different books, but I dont like their limited selection and how often they push you to sign up for their membership.

3 months ago - Drove 25 miles to the BAM in SLIDELL, LA because the store in my home city, Gulfport/Biloxi, didnt have the book I wanted in stock.

Great selection for books. Employees were nice and helpful.

Everyone and everything was very nice and they help us a lot when we needed it. They helped me when I was looking for my phone in there they are so cool and awesome and amazing and well organized and helpful I hope I dont lose my phone again.

Went there to buy a book that actually came out yesterday..only to find out that they had not gotten it yet.The person that asked if I needed any help was very helpful though. He first looked where it should have been..then looked in the back..then told me that it had not come in yet but would be in tomorrow.I wound up ordering there and am having it delivered to my house...So it wasnt a totally wasted trip..plus it gave me chance to finally try Red Robin

Selection trending toward more toys and collectables. Most retail book stores have similar pricing so variety and quantity are of importance to me. I grow frustrated at this location always hearing We can order it. Magazines are a dwindling thing in todays world, but quite a few are still published, I found their selection lacking and only slightly bigger than the big box store. Employees are polite in general, but last few times seem more interested in conversations among themselves than a customer waiting. They the only game in town. You might want to pass and make a trip up the road to another bookstore 30 mins or so. (search engines are your friend).

Not as large as barnes and noble but if ya heed something let me go out of my way to help you find it. Will stocked if they dont have it they will order it.. stop by and buy from them. You will not be sorry

I like to support local businesses when I can. However, you cant go wrong with Books-A-Million. They always have exactly what Im looking for, and when they dont theyll order it for me. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and Ive never left there disappointed.

This store has a wide variety of books, that you can look thru to see what you enjoy. The clerks are very courteous and are very knowledgeable in areas to help you find what you are looking for. Would recommend for everyone to check this store out.

BAM is a staple for me and with the closure of most of the big bookstores its about the only game in town.If you are looking for current books its an okay place and, of course, they can order things for you...Unfortunately, with closures and downsizing, it really isnt much of a browsing spot. Traditionally, I dont go looking for a specific book (if I know what I want, Ill order it online) but quite often find some real treasures just browsing.....not so much anymore.The staff is friendly and helpful and you can still find some great unexpected books....so I still recommend it!

If it says limited availability on their site, they dont have it in the store. It is a trap to get you to come in so they can pressure you to order.The stock is limited to what is popular. If you want Game of Thrones, Twilight, or Pop Vinyl figures on a whim, make this your stop.

Very helpful and friendly staff, however the size seriously limits their stock and thus, availability. I would call ahead if looking for something specific. They do offer the possibility to reserve online and pick up in store later for many items. I only wish they would expand and give Slidell a full-size BAMM.

The staff is always helpful in finding the books my husband and I enjoy to read, whether its in the store or online.

They staff was nice n all but the woman was so pushy about ordering these magazines. I ended up losing about 80$ before i could cancel them. I felt like I wasnt able to say no because she asked every time I would come in. Definitely will not be coming back as it took hours to find out how to cancel these magazines. Time and money wasted.

Friendly staff! Some books on sale for super cheap! I love the novelty stuff! But couldnt find what I was looking for.

I only gave it 2 stars because they do not offer a wide range of genres. They also have very few black authors at this location!

Nice selection of classics and new releases for any genre

My first time there the cashier was unfriendly asked me if I wanted to join the rewards club I said sure thinking it was free she tells me all the details but the fact its 25 dollars a year except when telling me my total. Terrible service

I love to read. But I have found that you can buy some of the same books at their website at a lower cost than in the store.

Best staff around. Small bookstore but has a lot of gems. Solid comic and graphic novel section.

I feel like a kid in a candy store everytime I come here. Theres a good selection of books, boardgames, toys and even some tabletop rpg stuff. The staff always greets me when I walk in and asks to help me. BAM is 👌

I never want to be asked for another free magazine subscription from this place only to have to call a 3rd party service to cancel all the damn magazines because it isnt explicitly said how to cancel all of them. And they start charging you after so many months.

The books or types of books I want are never in stock. Im always told they can order them online but so can I, and cheaper. Its disappointing but the store is nice and sometimes they have good deals on comic accessories, etc.
