Found this place on google. Went there when my car overheated. They told me it was just a loose coolant cap. Only charged me for the diagnostic. Basically they were very honest and the prices were very reasonable. That’s what you look for in a mechanic. Hopefully won’t have to go back but if something else goes wrong with my car, they are my go-to from now on. Highly highly recommend!!

Needed a tire repair on our company truck same day. Called numerous shops all morning all with the same excuses either didnt have the tire or didnt have the time. Called this shop as last resort and thankfully they were able to help up. Walked right in and were pleasant to deal with were quick to answer questions and were able to locate a tire and get us back on the road quickly.

I blew a tire not far from their shop. I was running on my spare and another tire need to be changed. They ordered two tires, replaced the blown tire while I was at work. I got off a bit early and went by, they changed both tires, put my spare away and I was down the road in no time. Their prices were better than some other places I called as well.

I wish I could give the lowest possible review for this place. Never before have I ever had such a large attempt to be scammed. I went in with just a check engine light and weird noise happening at idle, and they tried to sell me on over $2,500 in repairs. This included a timing belt replacement, which I later found out you cant diagnose by anything other than how long its been since the last replacement (and my car wasnt in the typical time window for a new replacement), a brand new evap canister (a $700 part that turned out not to be necessary), among many other strange fixes. I went back to a mechanic that I go to regularly and they said all it was was an oxygen sensor and a relatively cheap fix to get the radiator fan working. Please do not trust this team, what a horrible way to do business.

Took my wifes car here for an inspection sticker last year. Instead of informing me ahead of time that the tint was to dark to pass the inspection.... This guy did the whole inspection, took my payment, and then decides to inform me of the tint and failed the inspection. That is very shady. He could have been upfront with me about the tint.

I do my own car maintenance and repairs when possible, but mounting/balancing tire jobs go to the shop. Being the cheap-ass I am, I scoured the internet for the best possible deal for tires on the net. Then I brought them to this shop for installation. Very friendly service. $170 out the door for 4 tires mounted/balanced and a full front & rear alignment (which was certainly needed). The car rides like new. I feel this was a reasonable price for a well done job. I will be a repeat customer.

These folks took a prior mistake and turned it in to an opportunity to do the right thing and they did. Thats how you build recurring and returning business. The man went out of his way to help me. My tint on my truck was to dark and not legal. He actually removed it for me with no extra charge. I was able to able to get my inspection right then thanks to him. Anywhere else would have sent me home and told me to come back when I have it removed. I would not have been able to get it.

Past few times Ive had simple oil change has taken between 1-1.5 hours to complete. Work is quality just very slow.

Travelling west with our 5th wheel, we discovered the brake on our F250 had seized and needed it looked at. Googled and found this place close to our location. The owner, Dale, and Josh and Richard were very helpful to us (out of staters) getting us back up and running. Parts would be in the next day so we spent the night. Price is what we would have paid at home, Would recommend this shop to you if you need mechanical help. Thank you, for all you did.

We broke down and were towed to Slidell at 4:55 on Friday and were helped out like a family member. The owner took us to a nearby hotel, and even offered his carded discount on the rate. On Saturday, they were open and worked on my truck. They checked out the truck and ordered the part, made the repair and when finished picked us up at the restaurant we were at to take us to our truck.Just as good as my service from my Fort Collins, CO mechanic, Hawkers auto.

I only go to Automotive Center of Slidell because its nice to have friendly mechanics like Jason that care about doing the job right. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs quality car service with people you can trust.

I give them 5 Star. My visit was a little long, over 2 1/2hrs. But that is ok. I usually dont have to wait that long. But that was fine.

I requested a quote to install 4 shocks, each having a remote reservoir. I was told the cost was $700 due to the shocks not being oem. I asked how they can justify the price & was fed more than a few lines of BS. That equates to about 9.5 hours of time to install 4 shocks at a rate of $75/hr. Realistically, it should be less than 90 minutes for any competent mechanic.I told whoever was at the counter that day that the price was insulting & he proceeded to yell at me, in front of other customers. That last thing said to me was If you dont like it, install the shocks yourself. His manager had to intervene & apologize, but the damage was done.The quote was nearly fraudulent. I asked other shops for quotes & none could even come up with a way to justify $700, even with a full, 4 wheel alignment done at the same time.Im still amazed this place is open, after being treated so poorly & lied to about labor costs.

The owner Scot and their service advisor Kelly are both amazing people. My husband & I drove to Louisiana for a vacation during a holiday weekend & my car broke down outside of their repair center. All the local shops wouldnt be able to even look at my car until after the weekend, but I needed to be back home before then. They came to our rescue & drove us to our hotel (45 mins away), fixed our car even when they werent open, & drove the car to our hotel when it was fixed so we could enjoy our vacation. I am teary-eyed just thinking about their generosity. I will never forget what they did for us & will forever be grateful to them.

Although the State website shows this location does vehicle inspections till 5:30 pm, do not count on it. I arrived at this location at 5:05 pm and when I asked to get an inspection, all the rude gentleman could say was, I close at 5. Well have the web information updated! There are other places for me to spend my money. They will never see my money! RH

I could barely drive my car to them due to an alignment issue. They had to order alignment parts for my vehicle, but they got it as close as possible so it was safe to drive.

First time there; thought my breaks were bad. Got a call shortly after dropping my car off and they informed me my pads were fine. After troubleshooting they said they determined it was a leak in the booster break. They then looked into it and found out ford had an extended warranty on it for being a common issue with my model. Long story short, the guy called and said we could charge you 5 or 6 hundred dollars and do it ourselves but youre still in warranty and ford will fix it for free... hard to find business like this these days. On top of that they printed out the warranty information on it, left a bag of candy in the car for the kids, and even cleaned the mud off my tires! I def recommend this place to anybody and surely will be going back!
